Catchy tune and I ended up liking it quite a bit. However, I almost stopped it after 15 seconds or so of rap. But I decided to give it a bit more and I'm glad I did. The song changes at 28 seconds (your timestamp 8:13) and it becomes a different, thoroughly enjoyable, beast.

There was a period last year where Smith was hustling and even getting some get ahead passes from CC and converting. Then she just quit doing that and no hustle at all. Don't recall when Sides pulled her but whatever happened Smith seemed to give up during the latter part of the season. Add to that how her relationship with Carrington compromised her with the Fever. The video of Smith & Carrington in a parody making fun of the eye poke sealed the deal. She just had to go. No love lost by the fans.

Getting rid of Smith was a great move

Getting rid of NaLyssa was vital at almost any cost. It's toxic to have someone who's loyalty is to a player on a rival team. And there was that speculation about her feeding plays and cheat codes to her betrothed.

The trade was a win for the Fever for sure.

I believe the Fever did real well on the trade considering the circumstances. They had to get rid of Smith. They had been shopping her for a couple months and had no takers. They found a way to trade Smith for Cunningham. Cunningham is a good fit for the Fever. She runs well, plays defense, can shoot. She is also a likeable person who has said she would like to play with CC. The money is nearly the same for Smith and Cunningham. In order to make the deal they only had to trade a #8 pick for a #19 pick in the next draft. There is little difference in talent between 8-19. They got someone they needed and got rid of a liability. Winner IMO

It's "NaLyssa Smith" and it's Lexie HULL. Ten seconds of research doesn't seem to be a whole lot to ask...

Lexie accumulated fouls because she was the one out there playing enforcer, as much as she was able to. Nobody else was doing it. Certainly, the referees weren't doing it, even though it WAS their job. They allowed flagrant fouls like they were simply a little hard contact. The fact is that the technical fouls they called Caitlin for were almost all stupid calls. They certainly weren't calling other players for technical fouls when they did precisely the exact same thing. So please tell me what the hell the referees thought they were doing? They sure weren't seeing the same game the rest of us did. There were at least 80-90 free throws extra Caitlin should have had, at a minimum. As a 91% FT shooter, that is another 75-85 points extra she should have gotten as a minimum. Yet they didn't do that, did they?

The Fever did an amazing deal. Go Sophie, Go Fever. The future's bright...the future's Fever. Its getting a known talent to bring it in 2025. No 8 pick is guaranteed to be better than 19 pick. IMO.

Fever still have 2025 draft pick #19 & #20. Most probably #20 is Annika Soltau PF 6'4" from Germany. I think Kelly K is shopping for another international player to replace EW.

I really like the trade and I don't mind losing the draft pick. The guard rotations alone are going to be hard to plan for. If they were to get a European player, I was looking at 6'6" Dominique Malongo from the French league or 6'4" Ajsa Sivaka from Slavonia.

So relieved to see Kelsey resigning. She is pretty much irreplaceable IMO. CC & Kelsey are the best back court in the league. As you pointed out, with a year of playing together behind them they are a fearsome duo and ended the year playing very well together. Excited to see if the Fever can obtain some height and speed to add to the roster. I think Grace can be the player to spell CC & Kelsey when needed. She has not shown the scoring potential of either but she has good handles, protects the ball well, passes with pace like CC and can shoot as well. She was never given a chance under Sides. Free Grace!!!
