I’d say you’re doing great on that end too :) I don’t necessarily plan on picking up reaper myself any time soon, but watching you work with it is quite inspiring since i get a feeling that if i do want to install it on my computer some time and try to put some ideas into life, i don’t feel like i have to have the whole idea before i start and can instead just put down what i do have and take it from there - and seeing what you do with the sounds, it also feels like i’d have some more ideas for how to make it all sound more interesting than just plain recordings, all without having to put an effort into seeking out tutorials outside of just being interested in what you do and how you do it :) It’s kinda similar watching Bob Ross videos i think - i’m unlikely to actually start painting (although it would be fun to try), but watch enough episodes and the barrier to having a good time just feels much lower, if that makes sense?

There's definitely some reverb on it. I don't remember which one I used, but it's very likely Valhalla Supermassive plugin.

It's a MIDI sequence fed through the USB port. No layering or overdubbing, just one patch sequenced externally.

IDM is a pretty niche genre, but it's as broad as any other subgenre of electronic music. This is just one of the many types of sound that can be found in this music, with my own twist on it. I've never played Unreal Tournament, but I've heard some music from the game and I liked it every time. I really enjoyed imagining this tune in an arena shooter - it definitely could fit! The acid sound comes from the MicroFreak. Volca is on drum duty, with sub bass and one of the chords that comes at the later part of the jam. Thank you for watching!

What do you mean by interface? Recording? If so, then I have the outputs connected to the mixer (Zoom L-20). The sound is recorded into my DAW (Reaper) and there I apply some effects (like reverbs and delays for the MicroFreak). Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
