Su 57 is the best doggighter in the world But Su 47 is a way to far ahead. Its can fly so maneurable even in subsonic flight without the use of thrust vectoring(actually its doesnt have one) This is because of the wings the only disadvantage is the tail wont be that reliable as if the aerodynamics will all go there.

The use of the SU-47 Berkut rather than the SU-57 Felon shows how dated this video is.

I believe Su-47 is supposed to be more maneuverable, but they got hit with every single missiles fired at them, I find it very strange Btw Su-47 have no flairs or countermeasures? Lol

The f22 is a stealth fighter so the f22 probably would win not to mention the supersonic ability with no afterburner, if the f22 can hide from radar, the su47's won't know they are there until a missle comes and blasts their plane to bits.

Both are side air intake thick lifting body configurations unlike the SU-27 series of fighter aircraft which use much flatter and less curvy lifting fuselages. Although the SU-47 definitely wins this dogfight due to its canard forward swept wing configuration and larger leading edge root extensions providing more lift over the more standard configuration of the F-22A. Although if reliability was concerned, this would definitely go to the F-22, since swept back cropped deltas have much better durability than the much more flimsy forward swept wings. And of course bvr also goes to the F-22.

to anybody who wants to know what these are its clips from the documentary "dogfights" in the episode "dogfights of the future" in which it showcases "future" scenarios the clip at 3:52 is a clip from a different scenario in which an F-35 has to dodge an "archer" missile launched from a Su 35 btw this episode was from 2008 hence why it compared the F-22 to the Su-47

The term Starbird is a Naval term for right. USAF personnel wouldn't know what the hell it is. The Vulcan Canon is in the Right wing group. In Maine Corps boot camp, our head(s) were labeled port (for left) and Starbird (for right). We never actually used those terms, but they were burned into our brains like the knowledge we were required to reproduce for the exam at the middle of the three-month training.

Stupid Communists put hard point pylons underneath the wings. That's going to give off a radar ping. Notice how American Stealth aircraft use internal weapons bays, that is to eliminate a big discrepancy in the radar cross section.

Starbird is a naval term...a single Vulcan Canon is mounted in the Starbird wing...the F-22 is an Air Force bird.

what's the point comparing the f22 to the su 47 which is an experimental plane which has only 1 prototype as far as I know would be interesting to compare it to the Northrop YF 23 as it was the competitor of the f22

You can tell they don't know too much about the military, when he says Starbird engine, Starbird is a Naval term Naval "right side." In Basic Training, our front quarterdeck walls were marked (painted) with Starbird on the right head (bathroom) and Port on the left head.

I know this is a 5 year old video but fuck it, also this isn't propaganda, they're just idiots. SU-47 has no thrust vectoring, the F-22 does. You can't "Jam" missiles with radars. Raptors would fire first due to their smaller Radar Cross Section. (not necessarily meaning they'd be able to win before the enemy detects them) I don't know for sure but i'd say the planes both have similar maneuverability, If not the Sukhoi has slightly better because of their wing shape. Archer missiles are heat seekers, meaning they follow heat, they cant tell shit about what they're following, they only follow the largest heat source Same with the Aim-9. Missiles aren't projected on the visor, thats not how missile detection works. You cant track a plane under you or on top of you, you use your eyes at that range. If a pilot risks blacking out while in a compromised state then they wont pull a maneuver that makes them black out unless absolutely necessary. When you black out, or G-lock, you don't come out of it in a matter of seconds. You cant launch a missile at any angle and expect it to reasonably track let alone hit, ESPECIALLY with a heat seeker. You dont "establish contact" after a dogfight, you'd be constantly talking with the squadron and working together.
