Soo This is englishman define as “Propper ROADman”
Ottimo lavoro 👍
My old “stomping ground “ back in the day ! Raced at all these venue’s and more ??? Wish I had a “time” machine. Although probably one of the reasons why my spine is now xxxxd ?
Barry Lowe Piloting the legendary Rover sd1 pace car.
Crackin footage 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bella complimenti 😊👍👍
I had a new one C510YRW always blowing up!! Couldn't wait to get my Rd350Lc but my kr1s was a lot better, now 51 so enough of all that.
great to see the old races at ringwood and strange to here my old man on the commentary after all these years .
I missed you message of 4 year ago frank was a great friend to me at ringwood I took him out in a race he said the best part was stopping at the end and was taken of by ambulance as he had broke his collarbone on the road cage blimey all that time ago bless you mate your old man was a top man
Martin Hadley 163.....who took him out???
damm ns125 done my knee in 86 fucking burn them all
Roger Holden in Mini 223
Hi sorry had to set up new phone yes I am there I was in the Mazda No 323 blink and you will miss me I didn’t like it as it was rear wheel drive went back to a mini
Yay! Won the final and got the hat-trick. Bloody marvelous race!
Well done Roger! You really flew in that race in fine style. Brian Pedley was my Hot Rod hero I`ve just elected you as my Stock Rod hero!
Wot? No Roger Holden?
Well done Roger, you actually did better than I thought you were going to. Nice!
I think the commentator had a soft spot for you Roger, always mentioning the "little Mini". lol
Hi you must have watched them all now sounds like you have enjoyed them thanks for all the interest mite not be your thing but have you looked at the little Honda reborn film a project I did that was fun
Marvelous race Roger, thought you had it then.
That was wicked Roger, you so nearly had it.
Great race Roger. Thought it might have been yours in the early laps.
Brilliant Roger. But what a coincidence - 2 Mini drivers from Bognor; Roger Holden Stock Rod 323 and Roger Homer Hot Rod 525. Very similar names and numbers eh?
Hazel Brooks yes I remember your name but not sure why some one used to talk about you it was a long time ago and I'm thinking it may have been John Davidson I mite be wrong ??
Hi Roger, I think you may have the wrong end of the stick old son. There`s no way you would "remember" me as I have only been Hazel Brooks for the last 13 or 14 years (far too long a story for here). What I was pointing out was the similarity between your Name and race number and that of another Mini driver I used to follow who also lived in Bognor. I used to watch him and cheer him on at Wimbledon back in the early 70s, he was pretty good. He lives in the USA now and races senior karts!!
Hazel Brooks hi right ok yes I have I do remember him I think he lived on the Chichester road in Bognor I have a mate I'm sure he knows him my dad use to take me to Wimbledon in the 70s I guess that where it all started for me have you ever seen Melcolm borman
Sorry pressed the wrong thing Mel raced a mini stock rod at Wimbledon 80s 90s he was fast star diver well the three win I had at that meeting at ringwood I had his engine in my car he went over to hot rods
I never saw him as I was married and doing other daft things by then. My interest was re-kindled a few years back albeit in the retro sense and I`m always on here digging out the past.
Well done Roger. What a cracking race, made me feel good.
Hazel Brooks yes was good won the two heats and the final that day my dad was so happy he's gone now bless him never missed a meeting in 20 years of racing we did some grass track racing the one on my channel is an all winner handicap race I was one lap down as I had the fastest time on the day any size engine can enter long as they won there final take a look that was fun
Great stuff. Can`t think why so many people thought that stock rods were boring.
Hazel Brooks hi glad you like my films that was me in that mini and it was far from boring it was the best thing back then but it was a long time ago be getting my pension soon but yes great fun thanks for looking
Wicked Mate! I`m a dyed-in-the-wool Mini fan and thoroughly enjoyed this. You were going great and I did have hopes of you getting the flag, never mind. I`m taking my Classic Hot Rod Mini to Hednesford tomorrow, not to race but just on display. I gotta pass my assessment then mine will be the first Mini seen in this formula for 10 years! I`ll look out for more of your stuff.
Hazel Brooks wow a hot rod mini you will have to get it on TH-cam if you go to one my channel there is some mini hot rods at Arlington in the 70s only a very small bit of film my dad took on his cine film check it out and all the very very best with your hot rod
Check this out Dodger. First run but pre rolling road tune. th-cam.com/video/xUP3L-FWPik/w-d-xo.html
Hazel Brooks yes very nice thank for that I want one I kept 1part of my clubman the boot badge I raced for around 20 years with a mini but not the same one
It`s a shame they don`t do this any more. Nowadays it`s out-race-in-out-race-in etc etc.
are they the same as the mbx125??
I am restoring an ns125r at the moment. all stripped down ready for paint. the only thing holding me up are finding the bushes for the prolink and shock!! the internet only seems to provide jc20 and onwards!! no tco1 bushes or parts catalogue😣 can you please tell me where on earth you found them???
A really good job done here! I ended up having to fully rebuild my own 'fh after a major crash. Nice to see another one back in circulation. May have many miles of fun and safe riding on her!
NIce restoration. I'm in the middle of restoring one of these any ideas as to what length the rear shock is?
So many memories.. My first bike at 17 back in 1989. She was a beauty, R/W/B Honda NS125F (reg I think was F184 NLM) My mate had an Yamaha RD50, and my NS looked amazing in comparison!! I bought new 18 months later a NS125R... nice, but it was as nice as my F.. Fantastic resto my friend.. finding that original bean can exhaust is hard though.. I ride a restoration of an NS125R a few years back, but to sell the project due to divorce etc..
Many of these cars could fetch as much a grand nowadays, although i enjoy a bit of banger racing, it is shame so many classics were destroyed back in the day!
darren mott i think the scrotes would fetch a fair bit more
+trevor thompson not in that condition unless its a Mexico but fully restored you're looking at between 4-10 grand for some of them all depending on its original pedigree.
Used to steal them off driveways on Friday night and race em on Saturday!! lol
Really nice job mate, what a transformation! how long did it take from start to finish and how much did you have to shell out on replacement parts etc?
Brilliant job, I've shared to my new fb group: NS125 UK....also I'm trying to find a headlight cowl for mine if u have any leads? Cheers, Joel
Thats strong money mate. I have a friend that paid £5.600 for a very clean one so if its £10.000 it must be mint with low miles on it.
Hi mate i am in the middle of restoring a ns125r myself. but mine is in better nick than yours as it came from italy. there is lots of parts on ebay for them the one i have is a full fairing model in rothmans colours.
hi ian I derestricted the ns125 as much as I could it has a top speed of 90 mph and im no light weight im not a boy racer im in my 50s and like to mess about in my workshop, i have had this bike on the road all most 2 years now, my latest project is my very tatty Yamaha dt125re that i have had for some years, now it looks brand new, that was a total strip down respray the frame all new panels chain spockets all new cables cost around £450 im very happy with the out come my next project is a Yamaha rs 100 nice little bike had a brand new one in 1978 my first new bike look forward to having a look at your bike if you put it on you tube.
Hi dodger, i have sent the body kit of for painting so hopefully have it back soon. i have a ns400r aswell plus looking at buying a Honda nsr150sp if the guy will do a deal with me. i have had a yamaha rs 100 myself good small bikes. keep a eye out as soon as its up and running i will put a video on here...
hi ian ns400 nice, worth a bit of money is it all up and running ? I will keep a eye out for your video my rs 100 is on the road but I will restore it one day no rush I use it to nip to the shops
Hi yes the ns400r is on the road if you look at my profile photo you will see the bike. its never been restored
DODGER706 that the one to have I see one on ebay for £10.000 is that the right sort of money?
