Real shame to see Copilot from Windows effectively retiring. The integrations with Windows promised so much, but never really delivered. Makes sense why it has been in preview forever, and never developed much further than "Hey Copilot can you change the volume to 100?".

I knew there was a bigger “role” for Loop. ➰ I feel that it’s been an underutilized app for a while by many organizations. Presently, many don’t even realize they are using the power of Loop in their meeting agendas in Teams. I’m curious about the “collaboration” piece. For example, can you collaborate and invite people outside your tenant? MTOs? Loop files stored on OneDrive and powered by personal workspace by SharePoint embedded? What’s that mean? Is it all discoverable, or is it truly private? Will the results come up in a future Copilot response?

This is definitely valuable information to share. Thank you. I'm not sure why this needs a new name. Microsoft is trying to boost adoption of Loop, so just call it Loop. The naming everything Copilot has now reached absurd levels. But, the SharePoint embedded solution, in my view, is a very good one. I would like to see this for everything Loop, as it makes utterly no sense to me that creating Loop components just drops files into OneDrive that you then cannot move or else you break the component. However, I think it's important we remember that in the demos Microsoft showed us the day they announced Microsoft 365 Copilot they showed the ability to push content from Copilot chat into a range of M365 apps including Loop. This may be neat, but it's also a big regression of the original ambitions of the interaction between Copilot chat and the M365 apps. Keep up the good work on sharing this info.

Wait...so, with message 887377, they're basically killing the "Teams" app inside of the "Teams" app? While I can appreciate the reduction of redundancy, I think a LOT of users are going to be VERY confused. I already have a half-dozen conversations a week with people who don't understand the difference between a chat, group chat and the conversations ("Post" tab) in a team channel. If I want to see a list of all the teams of which I'm a member, where can I go to do that after this update? My only solace is that as an EDU tenant, this probably won't get to use for a few months.

Shared mass item deletion had an incident of that last week. Someone removing files instead of the sync. The warnings ignored, email about it ignored. Someone had to spend a long time restoring those from the recycle bin. 😢

Maybe, along with Natural Language search across M365 going, MS will seek to increase the gap between the Copilot (if it's still called that by the time you read this) haves and have-nots? Might be a pattern to look out for.

Shared? Huh? That makes 0 sense - what's there are FOLDERS AND FILES, what was wrong with just Files??? They could have created a new tab called Links - that would be more intuitive.

I feedback to Microsoft from the Admin centre notice MC859870 as they need to be clear on what;s paid and what's no ! I shouldn't have to go hunting for that intel! We dont have access to the shiny shiny extras at our place so have to be careful I dont sell a dream that they arent going to have access to!

Has anyone found a way to determine how often the files of an unlicensed user are being accessed (since they became unlicensed or left)? It’s quite challenging to estimate the cost of archiving without knowing how frequently active users might restore data from inactive users. The new report shows how many users and how many GB/TB, but not clue on the activity

I may be wrong I think Power Apps Plan 2 as it was at the time was one of first self service. The fun thing was you signed up for trial and when the trial ended you signed up for the trial aaannd when the trial ended you signed up for the trial... We got people all of a sudden wanting to buy a license when we turned off the trial self sign up.

I wish Teams had the 15min reminder notification before a meeting starts that Outlook has. I’m sure this will be added in the future

Rewrite in Microsoft Edge is a small popup that you get when you highlight text that you have entered on a page in the browser. Selecting it opens a dialog box underneath the text that shows suggestions for how to rephrase what you have written. It isn't related to the sidebar, and it doesn't appear to work in M365 for the web apps like Word.

@365MCS, I love the storage cost impact (and specifically the reporting) to help inform decision making and the importance of improving Data, Information & Knowledge Management (full lifecycle), and the retention and final disposition of information, and the long term preservation of information of permanent value. Keep improving the service and the capabilities!

@365MCS, can the dynamic watermarking be enforced and to display the highest aggregate security classification of all content presented both onscreen and in printout, and can this support standard and customised Confidentiality labels, and can the placement of the watermark also be enforced in a standards-based specific location? e.g. a PPT slide has a label of Unclassified/Public but an embedded Image has a label of Secret/Confidential, then the slide watermark displays Secret/Confidential instead, and in a specific location established by policy and standards.

@365MCS, will Outlook support a process/wizard that supports user qualification of duplicate contacts, particularly where fuzzy? e.g. what if you have 2 or more contacts that share the same first and last name but have different email addresses. It may be that some contacts are indeed the same but having multiple emails addresses or even phone numbers.

@365MCS, great idea to include sentiment data as part of Copilot and data export for analysis. Please add to the backlog! ;-)) e.g. sentiments captured in meeting transcripts, etc.

@365MCS great to know that Meeting chat will be included by Copilot (in Sept'24) which makes absolute sense for a more comprehensive and robust summary. What would be good (mentioned separately via another MS contact) is to support voice recognition and attribution of speech for transcription. e.g. if 10 people are in a meeting room, sharing the same connection(s) to the Teams meeting, and amongst others, Copilot will assign all speech from that room and connection to that profile. It would be great if people could introduce themselves and have Copilot recognise their voice and attribute that declaration to their profile for correct and accurate transcription of who said what. ;-)

Regarding the "Forms data sync to Excel" update, I agree with all your points, but would argue that this capability has existed for "group" forms for years. In many (too many) cases, people in our org create a form, build some kind of work process (often using Power Automate) around it, then leave the org and the whole thing is left in limbo. Yes, this new functionality is great and should have been there years ago, but I feel like it's going to downplay the use of group forms when they're the better solution.

Is the OneDrive change relating to deprecation of Delve I wonder 🧐
