4 Panel Solar Racks from EG4!!
มุมมอง 1.3Kปีที่แล้ว
These racks are pretty awesome. You can knock them together in an hour or so and place them virtually anywhere. If you use 500w panels, you can put 2000w of generation anywhere you like. If you need 10,000w, buy 5 of the racks. Just that simple. All is included except how you choose to mount to the ground. I went with 4x6 posts 10" cut in half. That will give you a requirement of 2 posts per ra...

Today's Solar Production on the 2 Growatt Inverters the 12kw Beast and the new 5kw ES model
มุมมอง 2.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Getting my first look at the production of the new Growatt 5000ES unit with 450v input voltage. I am currently testing it with 9 370w panels and should see about 3000w from it.
Happy 4th of July!! More panels for my latest array #MorePower #Growatt
มุมมอง 1893 ปีที่แล้ว
a quick look at the new panels for my homestead. 405w bifacial panels for a ground mount system to add an additional 4500w of production. Also adding a new Growatt 5000w inverter Charger with 450v DC High Voltage input for the MPPT. Enjoy!!
More Lifepo4!!! (You always need more)

just received another 16 CATL 280ah cells to add to the collection. 15 more KWH of storage for the Growatt to feast on!!
My lovely Wolfpack decided they were bored and dug up my 240v grid feed that runs to my inverter!!

I would punish them but they are only doing what puppies do. Now I'm in for trenching, piping and filling. Not to mention dropping $$$ on #6 wire (2 hots, neutral and a #8 ground) @ 170 ft. it will be a costly day smh

hi how are you doing miss the videos. hope you are doing well
Mines says 0 output and the screen reads 04 error what can be done to make it work
New sub here. Those 6x4s are 5 ft long. Appears you bolted the rack like 3 ft from the back end correct? Please let us know. Thanks
Yes that is about right. Made skids for them - easy to transport with a lawn mower, tractor or truck. Nice to be able to deliver1800 watts of power per rack in minutes. Also welcome!!
I really like your support design. I have the EG4 mount put together in two halves. I wanted a good base design for mobility, this will work great for my app. Thank you!!
@@fb510m I’m really glad that it helped in some way. Look forward to future projects!
Thanks for sharing. I’m thinking about playing with home assistant.
It is pretty damn cool.
I like that it's looking good. 👍
thanks bro how have you been?
@@nubiandavis2610 l have been doing good. Working on a lot of projects that's all.
How many solar panels you have my friend
Happy Thanksgiving any update on the growatt inverter
I am getting ready to get 2 of the 6000 xp units from EG4. I like the way they work from what I have seen.
@@nubiandavis2610 on that growatt inverter you are using does it have 2/mppt input or just 1/mppt input
Hi can this growatt do AC coupling
do you connect the communication for batteries to the growat inverter or to solar assistant via usb?
How is the growatt inverter
Still kicking believe it or not
Can you share your setting program (01-28) configuration of the 12kw inverter?
Why is mine only have an arrow line off the negative on display and yours is off the positive on the batt looking icon on the display what does it mean
Maybe a different version?
What if you only have 1 phase, how do you attach the AC input in cable?
Pretty nice
Thanks!!
its been nice to see your system grow over the years thanks for the update keep up the good work
Indeed!! I have a bunch of catching up to do. Great to see you.

I have two brightmounts side by side and want to connect the rails together. Do you plan on doing that too. I'm trying to get the additional rail connectors but haven't found a source.
Any updates
If the GroWatt Pv input is 7000w can I really get the 12kw rated out put from the inverter?
Yes but, you will drain your battery faster than it is being charged.
Hello. Please can u help to give the name soft on laptop. I just can have to my phone not my laptop
Awesome video
I'm not happy with Growatt wifi wish i would have done more research before i purchased it :(

HOWdy N-D, ... Thanks COOP the WiSeNhEiMeR from Richmond, INDIANA ...
Hi Awesome setup. Two questions: Did you bond ground and neutral in the subpanel witch inverter feeds? Did you run a neutral from main panel to subpanel to have a common neutral?
I have a neutral feed from main box to all subsequent subs down the chain. I also bond ground and neutral in the subs. Works without issue
what happen to the growatt
Firmware upgrade failed - bricked it
@@nubiandavis2610 ok cool
Where do I get the software for PC? I am using EPF5000ES at the moment and I’d like to monitor on PC
Send a message to Growatt or whoever you purchased from - they will send you a link.
What's the most amps you've fed into it from a 220vac generator? I just hooked up mine (same 12k watt model ) to my generator for the first time to charge my batteries and heard something blow up but it seems to still be working fine. I was at 50 or 60 amps at 220VAC from the generator.
My solar arrays went as high as 180a of charging so I cannot understand why the 220 generator would cause issue.
@@nubiandavis2610 I've seen between 50 and 60 of solar but has never been an issue. I'm wondering if it was the AC Input circuit breaker that tripped. I switched everything off so fast I don't remember if it was tripped or not. Thanks for the reply
@@SpoonerTuner sure thing. Sometimes things go bad. They are pretty modular and you can get a replacement board I am sure.
Nubian, will the display show the output of both PV1 and PV2 separately?
The app certainly does. I don't recall if the main display does
@@nubiandavis2610 because my internet is 2.5 and 5g i can't install the wifi dongle...And see if my PV2 is working correctly PV1 i know it does because the wires feel warn and the voltage drops a little but the PV2 is cold don't know if the mppt behavior uses only PV1 if it sufficient... thinking of turning off PV1 tomorrow see how it behaves...
I am running two of these in 240/120 split phase to power my whole property with 6 EG4 Lifepower batteries. I am getting the Error 61 (Battery Communication Failure) code intermittently even after all the Signature Solar recommendations. They also drop AC power output a few times a day for no explainable reason. Usually only for a second or less but on a few occasions over 5 seconds. They just came out with the 6000ex which I believe is the Low Frequency version I may switch to. There seems to be at least three choices. MPPT, SunGoldPower and now the EG4. None seem to be UL listed for the US.
I do hope the power drop you mentioned does not happen. That cannot be tolerated.
The biggest problem is that it could damage equipment like air conditioners and refrigerators. It’s even mentioned on page 18 of the user manual. Minor annoyance is having to reset clocks each time.
Do you have any links for that battery case?
You have to contact the manufacturer directly.
If you don't mind me asking when did you place your order and when did you take delivery of the 6500ex .. I have a July 12 the order trying to figure out when I'm getting mine
I've had them for about a month now. I do know they have a huge backorder at Signature.
Looking forward to your follow up video when your setup is completed. Your setup is shaping up to be nice.
I appreciate your words, thank you so much!!
Hopefully you get the Growatt to work. I had to do a Firmware on mine to keep it from rebooting in the first few weeks of operation last year. Did like that at all because of the possibility of it going wrong. I have some issue's of it going past the set points of battery capacity settings.
I will tell you this, the EG4 does a better job with Lithium charging. It truly does ramp down the power as the batteries get closer to their full voltages. Once I get them both operating in series and with all solar arrays inputting I will know more.
@@nubiandavis2610 curious to see how the eg4 takes the inductive loads. Can't complain about this 12K Growatt.
@@bigblockcutlass123 you will know soon. I'll do some heavy testing and we will watch together.
I have two on the way for my workshop. I have two solark12k's for my house. Yes if you're gonna do an entire all electric house, you need four of them and eventually double that battery. I have 134kWh and it lasts three dark cloudy days. You will also want to change the 10 ga cable for some 4 or 6 ga for the 6500W load output.
Yes, that is the goal. I am up to 61kwh currently and I think at 90kwh I should be golden with the sun production we get down here in Florida. Sol Ark is way too much of an expenditure for me - I would rather just keep stacking EG4 units to meet the output load. 6 gauge cable is what I will be going with for output from the 2 units into the panel. Interested in seeing how these 2 in series handle the loads - the Growatt 12k was a master at it. I will soon know. Great feedback and information!
Hey, how is the programming set up… to run of solar alone, irrespective of battery levels?
I am hoping I can get the EG4 units to see the Seplos BMS units via Pylontech emulation. I'll know in s couple of days
great to see you post again
Glad you be back on!! I plan on posting plenty going forward my friend
Cool
Thanks!! Long time no see!!
