@@henryvanweeren7233 i have the same issue with my 2013 sienna radio screen going blacked out randomly i think mostly when it's hot. i took out the head unit and checked in pin connector seems ok. did you clean it with anything? thanks.

@@whatevertihs I just used contact cleaner from an electronics supply store. The important thing is to ensure all the pins firmly fit in place. That should do it. :) Just to be clear: did you remove the faceplate, or just the whole radio?

@@henryvanweeren7233 Yes! I got Covid (no fun at all), but luckily, Lucy didn’t. And now I know what you sound like. It’s a good voice for narration. If I’d done this video, I’d have had people asking for subtitles.

@@dishbestservedcold One thing is for sure, I miss sending drawings to each other as part of "The Trade Card Gang". A number of them I still have--and Lucy's wedding picture of us was proudly set into a proper frame and on the wall upon it's arrival here. A luverly piece of art all its own. Thanks Lu!! <3

Hello Nancy! I'm glad you found the video useful--to a point. I really don't know about switching the front cover faceplate. If the defective radio is cheap enough, perhaps get it and experiment with that unit first before trying it on your own. If it doesn't work, you haven't ruined your original one and you know the swap isn't doable. If it does work, you win and will have learned something in the process!

To be honest, I can't tell you. I haven't used that mixer since the videos--over a year ago! Sorry! :( Have you looked up effects in the PDF manual from Allen and Heath? There should be videos on the Allen and Heath website. I would also suggest getting involved with the SQ users group on Facebook. Good luck!

Hello there, I have no experience with the Midas M32. Allen and Heath have been my preferred mixer for many years. Consider your budget (how much do you want to spend?) and which mixer you feel would be easier to use. That's about all the advice I can give. Mixers today are very close in sound quality. Get to learn well whichever mixer you buy! There are many videos on TH-cam for all sorts of mixers these days!

Sir I am using live show. my budget is 4000$ what is the best option can you help me. sound quality and reliability most important.

Hello Angelia, do I understand you to mean that the display works for the CD, but not the radio? Is the display on all the time when the power is on?

@@henryvanweeren7233 the display works, playing CDs is fine, but it won't play the radio at all. I did notice that sometimes when I adjust the volume it jumps up and down (the volume number).

@@amariedavies Well, about the only thing I can suggest is pulling radio out and cleaning the contacts as per my video. If that doesn't work, perhaps try looking for an aftermarket unit from a car electronics place.

Hello Joe, The key thing I have found over the years is to listen. I like to make what is coming through the system sound like the actual instrument or voice. Decent microphones (they don't have to be expensive) that aren't pointing to loud alternate sources of sound will usually work fine. If there is feedback, usually the gain is too high or there is a peak on one frequency area (and it's harmonics). The RTA will help to find the base frequency that is too sensitive. Cutting too much, of course, affects what you are listening to through the speakers. Hope this helps!

Henry Van Weeren thanks henry..👍👍 one more question.. bfore this i use the x32 dgtal mixer.. so overall of mixing the instrument EQ i just use the rta mic sgnal fdback to cut n add of the eq instrument..so in sq can be happen like a x32 eqing??

You are welcome! Our church has the new SQ-5, but many ideas are the same across the model line. Will hope to have other videos up on other things we usually use. There are many good videos from Allen & Heath.

I don't have one yet, but I suspect you could purchase effects from Allen & Heath. They likely download and install in a folder of the console. I do know there is compression built in to every input and output. No external unit required.

Henry Van Weeren thanks. I know each channel has compresión but I’m looking forward to get a different type of compressor, more like a Teletronix or 1176. Something that I could use in addition to the standard one. I read on an A&H forum yesterday that more DEEP processing plugins might be available by late August or early September.

Hi Henry. Do you know how to use multiple types of reverb, I.e. plate reverb on one channel and hall reverb on others? Do you add the same fx processor on different slots? Thanks

Glad it was useful! The cleaner is electrical contact cleaner. Usually found in electronic supply stores or well-stocked automotive supply stores.
