Ain't no damn way you beat that boss with no levels, no items, and unleveled starting gear bro lmao crazy
I couldn’t believe it either lmao
tbh i summoned my spirit ashes for my whole first playthrough. i can't be sacrificing my mental health to try to impress people who don't matter lmao. the point is to have fun.
Facts 🙌🏾
13:30 Knight Loretta Hit you with the Proton Cannon 😅😅 Good series and paly through! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lmao thanks man
30:00 That's my summoning rule. If the bosses wanna do a 2 v1 or get extra cheesy... I'm summoning 😅😅😭😭😅😅
😂
Dude be name-droppin' some great bands and even though I've watched your Elden Ring adventures I just now saw the posters on the wall. Another crazy thing that just hit me is that I played the original when it came out in 2001, I was 21 at the time and I think I heard you say your 21 now... man do I feel old now (I mean gah!!!), anyway, they seem to have done a great job with the remake. All the best of luck to you, may your nerves never break :)
Let me put it like this: If I *had* to get stuck in either Silent Hill or Resident Evil, you could not GET me to Raccoon City fast enough. F🤬CK - and I cannot emphasize this enough - Silent Hill.
Both universes are hellholes 😂
@@Dudenamedtay Definitely. But at least in RE you--- Well. You'll see. Just know that what you've seen so far is just the tip of a *DEEPLY* disturbing iceberg. It gets SO much worse.
"Bro, how do you not just, like, f****** go the opposite direction after...." In a word? Depression. It's calming, so it's useful in a crisis. Being kinda on the fence about whether he cares if he lives or dies goes a long way towards explaining a lot of what James gets up to in this game. He is not a well man.
That makes sense lol
you need 3 medallions not 5, they give you a gun there and the shotgun comes way later
Going into a Silent hill game for the first time it's some crazy experience, I still remember when I play the first on a PSX so many memories... until I got stuck on the goddamn piano puzzle!
Yo, good pick. Can't wait to see some of the later segments.
Never finished the original because I was like 6 when I played it behind my older brothers back. Good luck with the game
57 Damage we almost had him! 😅😅😭😭😅😅
whenever you enter a catacomb, have some crystal darts on you, it short-circuits the imp golems and even the watchdog golems and makes them attack their friends as well as their enemies. They can start fighting each other
Spoiler Free Tip: there's a Merchant later in the game that sells the Sentry's Torch. It lets you to see invisible enemies as long as you have it actively equipped (as in, you can see it on your character model.) Caelid is one of the tougher areas of the game, but it's actually divided between Caelid proper and the Dragonbarrow to the north, which is much tougher. Great rewards if you can handle it, though! Onward, Tarnished! The Elden Ring awaits!
Dude, the comedic timing in your editing absolutely breaks me 🤣
20:42 (is this how I timestamp?)
Yeah you did it right 😂
I just wanted to point something out about how in-depth the NPC quests are in this game bro… First of all… Rya(as an example) asks you to retrieve her necklace You found the Blackguard and killed him and returned it Rya but… You were given 2 options… buy it from him… or kill him and take it Because you chose that one option… other things are no longer accessible until NG+ and you do it differently
Nooooo not the prawn vendor ! You couldnt know but later he sells very good buffing items
Those hands do be hating fire. You also missed speaking to that guy at 20:32
Don't worry about Adula, you'll find her again later, you just don't have access to the place she flew off to, yet. ...Yeah, everyone hates Seluvis. 😆 You can turn Bell Bearings in to the merchant in Roundtable Hold to get access to new items in their Shop. Great vid, bro. Onward, Tarnished! Reya Lucaria awaits!
I Appreciate it man, thanks for the tips
Another wicked episode.. till next time tarnished.🤙
In the albanuric village If you walk forward, passing the two houses, on the right side, you'll see a disguised NPC. This is Albus he gives you the first piece of a key item then return to RoundTable hold it unlocks something new. Hope this helps.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news bro but that portal you opened that took you to Crumbling Farum Azula… It’s a dead end There’s nothing even there it’s just showing you
Man my heart broke a little when you killed blackguard lmao
As I’m reading the comments I’m now regretting that decision 😂
@@Dudenamedtay remember that for a second playthrough 👀
Will do !👀
Summoning isnt just part of the game but there used to be covenants based on it that gave you rewards for helping or killing other players Sometimes i just wait around for people to summon me while i play
It’s nice to see you take a more objective approach when it comes to bulk recording, but be careful not do that too much as it may drain your enjoyment of the game. Maybe experiment with bulk recording with other games or making shorter episodes out of your current recording rituals if you’d prefer. But what ever works for you I wouldn’t worry too much about your upload frequently, people are gonna watch your self proclaimed ‘brain rot’ regardless imo ;) If you wanna get D’s armour just follow the jester man and hug lady’s quest line. Btw I’m very happy you finally met Blaidd the half wolf uwu :3
I didn’t think of that, thanks for the tip ;)
Digging your Elden vibe!
Yeahhhhb boi
The four belfries and what they lead to are cool, but they aren't much. each is just a small area with some loot and enemies. I'm pretty sure you already saw and found everything there is to see in the one you opened this video. That one is mostly there to give you a view of whats to come, since the area you could see from there is one you'll get to late in the game.
Thanks for letting me know. I was there looking for nothing lol
I love these videos sm because its like being able to experience elden ring for the first time through someone else
Tay, it’s great watching you play. Please slow down, please don’t kill NPC’s and talk to them until they repeat what they have said. Each NPC has a storyline and rewards for completing it. It’s too bad you killed the Blackguard with the necklace. Now you can’t buy boiled prawns and later boiled crab. Crab gives a +20% damage negation boost for 60 seconds. You’ve skipped over a ton of hidden areas, optional bosses, etc. so please slow down and thoroughly explore areas. Don’t give up brave tarnished. 😎
Thanks man😂I’ll think twice before killing a npc in the future
bruhh boggart is pretty chill, just spend 1000 runes for the necklace and buy some crabs and lobster, those are good shiii also. And iji did warn you, I don't remember the specific dialog but maybe you didn't do the quest or simply not finish all their dialog. And boss fight, you use magic dmg summon against a boss using magic lmao
You're doing pretty well for your first playthrough of a Souls game. The number one thing newer players make mistakes on is not putting enough levels into Vigor. Get vigor to 40 asap. Every level for at least the next 10 levels put into vigor. You won't regret it going forward. By end game you'll want 50-60 vigor. Keep up the good work though man
Appreciate the tip bro
Rune is pronounced like roon not ruin
And Vigor is pronounced like the ‘N’ word you often use. I’m not saying the word, but since you do I figured you’d be comfortable with that reference. 😂
😂
Nice, new video, I've been waiting :) Today's tip: You should go back to Stormveil Castle (Place where you fought Margit and Godrick). If you look at the map you will see what looks like a big, long and broken bridge that leads from the castle towards the east where there is a big tower. Use the bridge to get to that tower where you then can empower Godrick's Great Rune. After activating it you can "equip" it on your character at a bonfire. Now when you pop a Rune Arc you get +5 to each and every stat (the power of 40 extra levels, just like that) and it lasts until you die.
I’ll definitely try that in a future upload, thanks 🙏🏾
if you need a little push, your next aim has been in plain sight since you got to Liurnia: That big ass Hogwarts in the middle of the lake. You need to find a key to get through the sealed door, it's guarded by a pretty fearsome foe on the lake. :) As for exploration, take your time and enjoy it! Don't feel like you have to beat a big boss or something every vid, you're doing great so far just carrying on. Best of luck!
When you get the chance, go back to Stormveil Castle, and find a way to get to the Divine Tower, so you can activate Godrick's greatrune. If you have already done this, please disregard, and try equipping it, at a site of grace. Once you have a greatrune equipped, popping a rune arc will activate that greatrune's power. Just having it set as your greatrune isn't enough.
Will do !
Oh damn didn't see the new upload Edit 1: saw a comment say summoning is part of the game, 100% is. The director of the game uses them and says that its up to the player if they want to use them or not Edit 2: hey upload however you want. I'll do what i can to tune in whenever Edit 3: that section you teleported to was a preview, you got the loot and that's all that matters Edit 4: in the future if/when you encounter more fingers, use fire as they spazz out which gives you time to hit them Edit 5: if you hate magic mobs, you should see the magic players Edit 6: ah now i see the summoning mention now, yeah just have fun playing don't let anyone tell you how to pla. Unless you want to be a dumb and do an upgraded weapon run like I'm doing right now Edit 7: so fun little thing about fighting bosses. In the previous fromsoft games there were some instances where you had to fight another player or be summoned to fight as the boss Edit 8: the dragon peaces out and will appear later if you go for a certain ending Edit 9: Ranni is that ending I was talking about Edit 10: you actually missed a merchant in the manor, it was when you found the little spot that looks around Edit 11: technically the ashes of war aren't magic as all it requires is you have the right strength and dex requirements Edit 12: if you gave the potion to Selivus, he would basically roofie Nephali and turn her into his "puppet". Lore speculation is that he used a similar potion on Gideons partner which is why he has a dislike to him. Edit 13: Sword of night and flame was really good on release but it got nerfed. Its now just decent Edit 14: so Blackguard actually sells prawn and later crab if you buy the necklace instead of killing him. He also chills out once you buy the prawn. You even get a emote. Lastly he also says "Marikas t!ts you must be hungry" when you are friends with him Edit 15: yeah take your time its all good. Nice video waiting for the next one also will still leave comments like this
I appreciate you tuning in and leaving tips 🫶🏾
Summoning is part of the game. There's no shame using it.
For real. Don’t let tryhards gatekeep you from having fun your own way.
agree, and also imo theres a huge difference between using like, a +0 mage and a properly upgraded mimic tear or black knife yk. its a whole gameplay aspect that gets flattened down to "dont summon" or "do summon" with no inbetween
not only that, the game is kinda balanced with the assumption that you'll use summons or multiplayer.
Yeah I agree, especially on the first play through. Tho it can be satisfying to work out bosses on your own, it’s ok to use summons if you just wanna have fun. :)
your videos have been improving keep up the uploads.
Thanks man 🫶🏾
to get in the castle you need a key loot from the dragon's lair west of the castle, there actually are instructions loot at the seal blocking the way in, that show you where the key is. Finally you get yourself more vigor bro lmao.
Will do lol
19:42 “Everytime I come here I wanna leave”…yeah that probably is the general sentiment with Caelid lol. I wouldn’t feel too bad about losing to that particular Cemetery shade btw, as someone going through a lvl 1 play through that guy and his skelebros are a fucking nightmare to deal with. For the record you don’t have to invade people to complete Varre’s quest line there’s a red npc message you can find in the next major area if your having trouble connecting to somebody online. Also if you wanna cast those cool blue blade and other spells, you can respec your points into intellect if you kill the Disney palace boss. (Btw your description of Disney adult low key, kinda works for her character xD) If you wanna use the Imbued Sword key choose carefully, as two of the gates provide cool views but nothing really of value, the one labeled “Precipice of anticipation” is the best one for gear. There are two other of these keys but you’ll have to go back to the dreaded Caelid to get one of them :p P.s you’ll be seeing a lot more spirit caller snails 🐌 they’re cute :3, but don’t let them hug you, they do a crap ton of damage. 0_0
Thanks for the tips once again panda 😂
Please upload more frequently, TH-cam makes it rly hard to find the new vids and channel after a week+ 😭🙏
I’m trying 😂
normally the best spell in any souls game is the one that applies magic to the sword, you use it by having the staff of the left hand
Love the videos man! Keep them up. I'm sure someone mentioned it. But check out the incantations you have. Seal in the left-hand, sword in the right. Nothing wrong with blending a few stats for fun builds. You can re-spec your character shortly. I always start a soul's game with a Str/Faith build.
You should go back to that case in Caelid. The reward for the boss is good.
12:58 - I'd say the closest weapon to that is the Greatsword, I've suggested it earlier in the playthrough, it's very strong for how early you get it, but slow. If you want to combat Scarlet rot, you either need Preserving boluses which you need Armorer's cookbook 6 found on a corpse in Siofra River, or the "The Flame, Cleanse Me Incantation" found in the Fire Monk campsite in East Liurnia. *Bruh, you already have it - 28:04 You need to talk with the red-hooded girl in the Roundhold table, she can learn to strengthen your spirit ashes, I suggest upgrading your mimic or/and Black Knife Tiche spirit ash, they strong asf.
"Are you guys ... stupid?" By the number of folks I see falling down elevator shafts... yes! People can always be dumber than you would expect. I'm in the last zone atm and I still see plenty of players take falls that will obviously kill them. Some people are just hopeless. ^^
A little advice: DON'T fight the dragons in this game. I think the camera is so broken when fighting big enemies that it sucks the joy out of the experience. Basically you can't lock in on the big enemies, because then you can't see anything except the corner of their foot. And when you fight them without locking in, you're still flying pretty blind. You're basically relying on audio only about their attacks. People have been trying to get Fromsoft to fix their camera for years now, and they just refuse to listen. It'd be simple: just zoom the camera out when fighting huge enemies so you see what's going on. But nah. Can't have that. People might strongly disagree with me, but the big bosses are the weakest aspect of the game. I literally quit my first playthrough for a couple of months because fighting the Fire Giant was so infuriating.
You're def not wrong, zoom in/out is severely needed for big and agile bosses that jump out of your camera view, god of war got it right. Albeit, personally Fire Giant wasn't that bad for me, for me it was the clergyman phase 2, when he kept jumping out of my view and of course dragons.
"Oh he's weak as sh**!" The cemetery shade is a truly rare boss build: the flat-out glass cannon. I get the feeling if the game hadn't had quite so many boss slots to fill they might have been an elite enemy rather than a boss. "What was that green sh**...?" Your "snot" guess was more or less on point. Well-- or spider webbing. That's an eldritch insect-infested corpse; the "snot" is a ball it weaves before zapping it at you. "Disney adults!" I mean, you're not wrong? "Bows are sh** in this game is what I've heard...." You've heard correctly, with a very few exceptions. I wish they'd borrow a page from Nioh in just this one thing and make ammunition the limiting factor. But, they seem to have made an intentional design decision to focus on melee. "I don't like this place." It's basically a Hieronymus Bosch painting come to life, yeah. Yeah, there's no spell that fully protects against scarlet rot, though there are some that cure it. "How do you navigate through this hellhole?" Budget your flasks, move as fast as you can, and don't care if you die. If you have cures, great, but if they're limited you might want to save them for ... worse ... things. :) (That cave is up there on the list of bad places, though, ngl.) Don't beat yourself up too much over the Erdtree avatars. They hit like a truck, often in combo, so missing a beat is often fatal and it's SO easy to greed yourself into missing that beat. Ah, you found the "burn myself clean" spell. Fun fact: it' not listed, but the couple points of damage it does you? They count as fire damage. Which means in addition to what's listed, it also cures frostbite. In general, if you're tomb-raiding you're going to be rewarded with spirits and stuff for upgrading spirits. It's not 100%, but those are the most common finds. Edit: Oh, about the invasion multiplayer? Keeping it "near only" restricts your list of possible opponents to valid targets in the same zone. Try "near and far," and bring your sense of humor because ganking is near-inevitable. You don't need to win to advance the questline, mind. Go talk to him again after you've invaded three times, win or lose.
The beast eye alerts you when you're near death root. Gold sewing needle is for an npc you've already met who you can find again. There's someone at the roundtable hold that can upgrade your spirit summons so they don't die so easily. great vid
