Sorry I don't think so! But you can try it, if plug the Roland P6 and it will show up as a folder/driver on the iPad or iPhone it would be possible, but I think neither iPad or iPhone show folders/drivers when something it's plug to them.

Hi, in this case I didn't programed anything it is a Preset Pattern, but yes I program it via midi. You can control and program 8 parts, being one of them must be Drums. So you have 7 parts and one for drums. That it's standard all across Rolands Grooveboxes except the new MC101 that only has 4 I think.

I like them very much for the right price. Some prices are really nonsense. They work very well, most of the features are the same compared to the new ones, the question are the built in sounds. They are from another era some people like them some not. The drum sounds are all the classic Roland TRs that almost everybody wants. I personally don't like the bass and Tb 303 sounds. But I easily, I program the pattern on the machine and use a external device for sound (Korg volca Bass, Behringer TD3 and Crave). The Midi it's good implemented. To be honest the new ones don't have much more to offer and most of the times even less. Modern sounds, Ok!. I'm always surprise how little the technology developed in 25 years in this kind of machines. For 25 years they already offer what nowadays machines offer. In the case of the Electron I think it has a difficult workflow that need to be learn. I personally don't have any experience with them, I'm in the low budget side.😉✌️

Hi, I wanted to make a video about it, I shot one already but I didn't like it. I'm planing to try it again. There are two ways via "sync" and via "midi". Easy way "sync". For that the TD3 just can work has a slave it does not have a "sync" out. Plug a 3,5 jack cable from "Sync Out" from the the Roland P6 to the "Sync In" on the Behringer Td3. Then you have to put the TD3 to follow the tempo received on the "sync" port. For that press "function" + "Back" and "Write/Next" at the same time the key-bed will shortly blink in that moment you press "4" (TRIG). Now the TD3 is following the tempo that it receives in the sync port. Hope it helps it's difficult to explain in words I will try to make the video soon.

Hi, that's correct. There is a way to change it's position but only after it has already being saved in the same position. To change it you can do it by saving with a Pattern by saving a pattern to another position. The pattern will be saved with the patch to the new position. But will be in both positions. Hi, it's very simple you almost can see everything live in the video it's played live. I just recorded the Jingle Bells melody on the sequencer before by playing it on the onboard keyboard of the S1 in "live recording mode". The rest it's in the video, I start the sequencer by pressing "start" make sure that the S1 is in "Poly" mode. I also have the "Arpeggio" ON. While the Jingle Bells melody is playing on the sequencer I play the rest of the notes live has you see on the video. For the notes to be hold on the arpeggio I engaged the "Hold" button that's why the notes that I play repeat, it's the arpeggio repeating. Hope it clarifies it. Hi Matthew, that's a really good question. The S1 and the P6 have a good midi implementations but if they will control the D2 I don't know how. They will do something (on the synth, filter and other sections) they will send midi CC to the D2. The problem is that you can not program on the Aira Compacts which midi cc message to send per knob or pad and also you can not program the D2 to change/react to a certain midi cc message it receives. I thing the better option for that would be a midi controller which you can program what messages to send to the D2 just check the D2 user manual and there are all the midi messages that it receives for what function. I don't know if I made myself clear hope it helps. I know for sure that the T8 (sadly) does not send "mute" function via midi. The P6 I didn't try til now, but I also think it will not do it. Which buttons are broken? Can't you repair them? The D2 is very simple to open a contact cleaner might be just what you need or better just a little exercise. My experience with Roland Groove Boxes is that most of the times the buttons just need a bit of a exercise to start function correctly. Press the buttons several times on touching different parts of the button.👍✌️

Hi! Yes, all are 3,5 mini jack cables. It's totally safe if you plug something wrong, you will not destroy anything.😄 For Midi and audio you need a stereo cable. For the Sync you can use mono or stereo it will also work but is not a must. Plug the 5 pin midi on "Midi Out" from the Korg Kkn, plug the 3,5 mini jack to midi "in" on the Roland S1. In the menu of the Korg set it to Channel "1" and on the Roland S1 go to "CH" and set it also to "1" . Now when you press a Key on the Keyboard of the Korg the S1 should also play the same note that you are playing on the Korg keyboard.

@@irinaprasko6798 Or easy way plug the midi cable "out" from the Korg, "in" on the Roland. Go to the "CH" on the menu from the S1 and go thru all 16 midi channels until the S1 plays. Star at "1" press a Key on the Korg if no sound come out of the S1 change the "CH" to "2" and so on until the S1 plays. It as to work!👍

Ok witch one? There are two types "A" and "B" the Roland Aira Compact use Type "A". To what Korg do you want to connect it. I may be able to help you if you give more information.

Hi, I have Tripod on the table with the camera pointing down. I have a Zoom H5 recorder on top of the camera it records my voice with the built in microphones and the instruments are plugged to the inputs of the H5. I run a stereo mini jack cable from the "line out" of the Zoom H5 to the "line in" of the camera (Canon 60D) check the audio levels on the camera and press record on the camera. Everything is recorded on camera no post-production. Hope you understand it.✌️

Hi Justin, no I don't program it via midi, I do everything on the machines themselves. If you want to program it via midi it's only possible via the Behringer software Synthtribe where you program your patterns on the computer and transfer them to the TB3. There is no other way to program the TB3 it dos not have live recording. But if you have a MC707 and the Jd xi, you can use the TB3 as an external voice. For example you can have a pattern on the MC707 and make it play on the TB3 via midi setting the TB3 to midi sync and set it to the same channel from the pattern of MC that you want it to play and you can muted and unmuted direct on the MC like you normally. On the MC you have to go to settings and choose that particular pattern to play "ext". You can choose "int", "ext" or "both" that mean you can have both playing the same pattern making a huge sound depending on the sound that you running on the MC on that channel. Hope it helps!✌️👍

just my opinion, but i think depending on what you are after the s1 is more versatile. i don't have the j6 and even as someone who loves a juno, i feel like you'll get a lot more out of the s1. i started relatively recently as well and i learned so much about how synths work and what i was interested in because of how accessible the s1 is. it was kind of fun to learn a new instrument for the first time in a long time! either way, i hope you love your t8 and have fun making music :)

I also agree with "_OopsieDaisies" the S1 is much more versatile than the J6. But nowadays with the P6 on the market I would go for the P6. You can play it as a Synth and you have the sampler, granular, and all the effects.The sequencer is the same and polyphony but there is no LFO. You don't have the hands on the pots like in the S1 but all most of the synth parameters controls are on the P6. From stock the P6 has already 2 synth samples. Depends what are you going for. Either ways are good options in MHO!✌️

@@BrunoLuisGarcia I haven't looked into the P6 much yet. I was thinking of getting the E4 so I could do some quick vocal and live guitar samples, maybe. I'm leaning more towards the S1 over J6, but I should learn more about that P6 first. Thanks for the info, guys :)
