That's a major concern of mine. Especially given how few people fact check the information they're getting from news sources already. The potential for malicious disinformation by weighting AI assistants a certain way is astronomically bad. Which is another reason why I think OpenAI needs to start being truly OPEN.

@@hadet If we're as close to AGI (2 decades or less) as some people think we are, openness is far more dangerous. MAD doesn't work if everyone has the launch codes. Not that I think we are, no one knows.

Mutually assured destruction doesn't exist there is no country on the planet that can stand up to the United States in a military conflict let alone NATO and we've already proven in the past couple weeks that we can shoot down hypersonic missiles nuclear launch codes are meaningless now. Artificial intelligence is not a threat to national Security in any meaningful way other than its ability to plan out logistics better than human beings can the only thing that we need to worry about with AI is its ability to replicate human beings in create misinformation

The Voice Recognition for the ghosts does not work out of box with it. And I haven't yet gotten around to trying to get it to work because I lost interest in the game. I'm pretty sure I know how and I might touch back with another video in the near future.

So the Voice Recognition that the Ghosts react to does not work out of box, but I'm considering tinkering with it to get it working because I'm pretty sure i know what's missing. If I do that I will write a guide or do a video on it. Other than that the game runs exactly how it should, performance is fine for the unoptimized mess that Phasmo is.

I'm not sure what Voice API they're using for the game but it's possible you could get it running if it's using the default Microsoft stuff but since it's so inconsistent even with Windows it'd be hard to verify whether it's actually working. I think I know how to get it working if you'd be interested in testing it with me.

I think that Sandro was a small part of the real problem with FDev which is the code state of the game is a huge unmaintainable mess since the game was originally supposed to be Single Player they tacked on this multiplayer shit at the last minute and are unwilling to compromise on key issues with the game, and unable to fix things like seriously bugged mission boards because of BGS states and the fact that there are only 2 activities for missions in the game "Delivery and Combat" changing one of those mission types effects every mission of that type.FDev will update something that breaks a core part of the gameplay loop like the PWA and tell us they are not able to figure out how to fix it which to me means their codebase is so spaghetti that they can't figure out what effects what anymore.

@@hadet You are probably right. I forgot that ED was meant as a single player space sim. Regardless it is kind of sad that ED is a dumpster fire. Could have been one of the best games of all time. So much potential...so much wasted.

Nothing Intereesting has happened in SL in awhile. Right now I've been pretty busy porting software to RISC-V and PowerPC. I'm working on a video about Morrowind and our Multiplayer Morrowind Server

@@warrenhunter7185 We still do Second Life Content over at teh Chaos Indivisvm channel, I intend to do some cool SL videos but I get banned for asking even the simplest questions these days si the potential for funny business is at an all time low.

Was so funny to see Mercz and Ordo on their way out, after all their bullshit rulemongering "Community isnt fun anymore" despite them being why the community downsized.

I'm not sure if steam will run on any 32-bit OS's anymore, I believe valve dropped support for that a year or two ago. Steam does have 32-bit library requirements though. Thank you for the sub.

@@hadet If they truly are not supporting x86, it's kind of ironic that they require 32-bit libraries (I imagine which would do just fine in x86 distros) for the standard x64 build. Oh well, the x86 distros are still ok for Retroarch and emulating most arcade games so they can be put into an arcade cab that might be more powerful than most Raspberry Pi's except maybe less powerful than an RPI4 w/8GB RAM, but I have yet to hear of any comparison benchmarks b/t for example an Atom CPU which usually max at 2GB ram (and very few rare ones at 4GB iirc). This is Void Linux with the 5.3 Linux Kernel. I'm using the latest Glorious Eggroll Proton build, there's a link to it in the description. The Campaign is fully playable. Custom matches and Firefight work great, some serious issues with Cooperative right now, and obviously match making won't work because if EAC.

I'm really interested to see what ends up happening with Co-Op, I'm hoping it starts working again. What's kinda interesting is when you launch with Matchmaking it actually does try to download a Wine build of EAC but the file doesn't exist where it's trying to fetch it from.

I've never looked into crypto so I will probably just pay Mullvad with cash. It'll take a while to get from the US to Sweden but oh well, worth it lol

@@cjalmighty Yeah now is a bad time to be buying any crypto. Also Mullvad isn't SUPER FAST but it's fast enought o game on for the most party. Discord is just bad software in general, It'd be nice if the default Matrix home server wasn't so awfully slow because it turns people off to the platform and protocol.

Who are you going with now? Or did you just decide you didn't need a VPN?

@@hadet for now i decided I don't need any. If I would have to pick I would probably go with mullvad since i like their payment and "account" model. Slightly expensive but oh well.
