He might have been fighting for his life but boy, looks wise, he still looked fantastic for being 90 years of age. Luck of the genes, I guess. He was the heartthrob of many in the mid-60's when I was growing up. Ilya was super "cool" to me (and all the women, too).

When I saw this scene when it aired, I noticed clearly that something was not right with David McCallum. It was a surprise to hear of his death and it was saddening that I notice this in this clip as I though he had a stroke etc.

R.I.P David aka Steele and Ducky. You bought me joy from sapphire and steele and all the way through NCIS. You will leave a huge hole in the acting hall of fame ❤

When I was in my late teens I saw David in that movie about the dambusters. I still remember that I laughed about that actor with his strange blonde haircut and that "stylish" moonface. I sorted out later that this actor was David McCallum. So I was surprised when I first saw NCIS that in the cast THIS actor was part of it. His way to act and his kind of humor which I believe isn't lost in translation to german, made him to my personal main character beside Gibbs, Tony and Abby. The good die young - the best stay forever! See u in heaven Ducky

I'm currently rewatching NCIS from the beginning, I'm up to season 5. To see this clip by comparison is a real shock. Seeing someone ageing really does make you aware of your own mortality. RIP David.

Aside from the link to Disney's Donald, the moniker couldn't be more appropriate, as Ducky's surname is a particular species of duck. May you be resting peacefully, for you, Ducky, showed us that those who are gone do speak to us, all we have to do is listen.

I enjoyed Ducky's goodbye, however, I was disappointed, especially, that Gibbs, and Abby did not make an appearance! At least Tony showed. As far as that goes, what happened to the others that worked with Ducky; Bishop, Ziva, Sloan, and many others. Maybe they were invited and declined; Maybe they weren't invited? I remember him in Man from U.N.C.L.E., I watched it in the first run season.

Gotta say, one can c from this clip the actor did not look nor sound well. Heyho such is life. RIP.

All of ya’all’s sweet words to Dr. MALARD , “Ducky” have been so sweet to read . I agree with nearly everything said. But I was introduced to him in “ The Man From Uncle” He was the second man I ever loved. I will not even try to spell his characters name but , those dreamy eyes, those golden locks, and that knowing smile. A lot like Gibbs when he lets you know ,he has you! Forever in my heart dear one.

I have never seen NCIS, but i have seen David McCallum as Harold Bride in the movie a night to remember (1958) as Lt Cmdr Eric Ashley Pitt in the movie the Great Escape (1963), and heard him as the narrator of the television movie documentary titanic the complete story (1994). Rest in Peace Mr David McCallum.

B look ess him you could see he wasnt Right, a True Professional , Career going back to the 50s , certainly the 60s, for Film & TV Programs Series.....one of his best two IMO The Great Escape , nick name " Dispersal" & The Mosquito Squadron .....RIP David
