    Could not see , the knot on spool , u use cause your hands,I see u don’t soool 25% old line, than tie on the preferred line , & full the spool, cause that gets expensive, if u have 20 plus reels

      I think you have to lie the filler spool on the floor, flat so the coils come off and go on the reel in the same direction.

    • @TheAverageAngler

      Because there is tension being put on that side. If you hold your line to one side and reel it will put more line on that side.

    Thanx AA. I'm still using Power pro from years ago. They started jacking their prices up, so I've been shopping around. Price is a big factor for my choice. You paying over $30 for 165yards ya might wanna check your mouth for a hook! Fishing products are getting out of hand cost wise and we keep forking it over. I make small stands when I can and will find the a product that fits my budget. Tried Yo-Zuri and they just raised their prices. Beyond braid seems like a deal if it fishes good.

    I was a co angler in a BASS open in Florida many years ago. The pro I was with Dead Sticked a 6 inch black texas rigged worm in lily pad openings. He would let the worm sit there for up to and over five minutes. He caught a 27 pound bag that day. I couldn’t believe it. I started dead sticking behind him and caught two over 6. It works. I believe in a non tournament situation, an angler could pull up to an excellent location, then anchor, or put the power poles down, and cast out several rods in many directions and dead stick several rods at once. I believe this was a mid 1950’s technique used in Florida by early Bass anglers with the first plastic worms.

      @@TheAverageAngler Dude same. Just bought a few Lucky Craft baits with them being 10 bucks each. I too will throw free rigs on a casting rod, such as the 3.8 bull flat and 4in dolive beaver, but ill throw the 3.5 Dolive beavers and 4inch dol8ve craws on a spinning rod with 1/8 oz to a 1/4 oz weight. I have the windbuster, but i havent fished it enough to have an opinion, but it is tip heavy, and for that reason i soet of feel like I may have been more satisfied getting the Steez ags Utility player spinning rod.

      @burgermeister3443 I found my Megabass rods to be a bit heavy as well. They balance based on technique which I understand but I’d rather just have a lighter rod. I bought 24 lv 500’s during their bulk sale.

    So u explain your rods. What the taper on those rods,Irod does not print that on thier rods,dint see that when u place rod on camera

      Not sure what you mean about taper, everything is on the rod other that the action. If that is what you are asking it’s on the catalog on the website. All of these are fast except the 731 which is fast/moderate.

      I will separate it in to two with swimbaits being their own for that reason.

    Nice info. What type of reels do you use

      @TheAverageAngler 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have several depending on the rod. I have Tatula 300, Lexa 300, Scorpion MD 200 which I like a lot, Curado 200 DC. Right now I’m favoring that Scorpion MD 200 due to how well it casts with little effort.

    Would you ever consider a AA vs subscriber fish-off?

    I could watch gear breakdowns all day long, I love these types of videos. I’m a huge fan of Daiwa I’ve been using there rods and reels going on 35 years. Thank you for the video Sean I’m definitely looking forward to more gear videos. Some people may not like this type of content but for me it’s really interesting. I like to see what other people use and prefer. Keep up the great work you’re almost at 3k subscribers. As always tight lines and have a great night !!!!

      Interesting enough, I’m coming from Daiwa rods to Irod. Some are very similar, others not so much. I still have a bunch of Tatula Elites and Zillions. They didn’t have much resale appeal for some reason so I will keep them. I’m a gear head but like more of the mid range stuff.

      @ if your interested in selling some of your rods I would be curious what models you have ??

      @TheAverageAngler 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Daiwa_Is_King you can email me at flipitz521@gmail.com and I can put together a list. I think most of what is remaining is 7’6 AGS and 8’ flipping rods. Although I never used the 7’6 for flipping. 7’9 long cast frog rod. Finesse casting, skipping rod. The spinning of have to check. But yes I’ll sell any of them.

    I was one of the ones who was asking if you could do this. You definitely have a nice collection going I could only imagine what you have in your boat as well. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the on the water footage that is gonna be cool. Catching fish on glide baits or big soft swimbaits is an addiction of its own, there is nothing like it !!! Thank you for making this video I could see a glide bait series incoming I think it would be super beneficial for your channel. As always tight lines and thank you again it’s greatly appreciated !!!

      There are many more in the boat. I’m not sure they will all get wet. Like anything else ya dial in and get confident with certain ones. It will be interesting to see how the fish on my local pond react to them.

    My biggest jig bass was 3.4lbs. For me, jigs do produce a bigger fish, but it tests my patience. It's weird, I can finesse worms all day, but for since reason, I find jigs to be too slow. Maybe it's the infrequent bites. Thanks.

      I think it takes a little success at some point. Whether it be a 100 fish day or catching a giant. Once those happen it is easier to have the patience.

      It’s another addiction in the fishing realm. I didn’t even scratch the surface. I’m sure that some will never get used but I’ll buy more anyway. That said it’s fun and I’ve done worse things.
