Joe Rogan is an idiot.

Rogan is the guy who talks about why cant we all get along and help each other, but when he got you a cup of coffee, if you forgot your wallet, he would "jokingly" bring it up and "remind" you that you owe him $3 still, all while poking you in your side and laughing hysterically.

Joe, IMO, is about 1/3 funny. I tried to watch some of his standup about a year ago. I got bored waiting for something that actually made me laugh. Many of his attempts at physical comedy seem like desperation. Similar to the way that, when Joe hosts pseudoscientists like Randall Carlson and Graham Hancock, It makes me appreciate real science and archaeology, when I hear Joe try to be funny It makes me appreciate real comedians. Recently watched Josh Johnson and Tina Friml. They MADE me laugh, couldn't help myself. Joe has other talents.

I didn't even know he was a comedian until this year, and I'm 53 years old. After watching one (not in entirety) of his stand up routines, I can confirm, Joe Rogan is NOT funny!

I like his podcast and credit where it’s due, he’s helped create a major shift in the way people consume information. Whether you like him or not, you can’t deny his incredible success and influence. But yeah … how he’s made a career as a stand up comedian is mind boggling because he’s terrible.

Horrible at comedy

A particularly glaring blunder in this video is the assertion Rogan is logical, and the reason cited as to why he doesn't understand comedy. The reverse is true. Comedians tend to analyse everything, are extremely logical, and particularly aware of the use of language as a tool within comedy. Rogan, is not logical, nor a deep thinker, hence why he's so prone to conspiracy theories and fake news.

What we must understand is that people also think Nickelback is one the best Canadian bands to ever exist. Some people just get it, like it, love it. I don't think it's an accident that he made a career in comedy. I think you are missing what comedy is or can be. Comedy isn't just about laughter (George Carlin). It's about making you think. And Joe Rogan has you thinking and analyzing if he is even funny and why do people think he's funny. Maybe he isn't funny to a lot of people. Maybe his head trauma causes him to miss jokes, or maybe he has jealousy with some comedians, and it comes out in awkward moments in the podcasts. He often seems to not laugh at Theo Von's humor. Is Theo not funny? Omg he's funny. He's probably the funniest straight-up off the cuff talker/podcaster. The question to me is...does he add value or entertainment? The answer is yes, he is entertaining, funny or not. He could be a reference on how to write jokes but how not to deliver them. He could influence so many comedians that if he didn't exist, they wouldn't have become popular. In saying that, bad art is always a reference point of what not to do. His career has many successes. Also, maybe he is stale in specials but electric live. Go back and watch Eddy Murphy's specials. It's not as funny as when it came out. Context matters. Trust me, there are enough people who think Joe Rogan is funny because they have a completely different perspective on what makes them laugh. I think you and I come from a generation where humor has specific cadences. Even Bill Burr's last couple specials didn't hit the same as the previous 5. That doesn't mean they are not funny. It means the album wasn't good, the song wasn't great, the period of the artist was not for you.

If you don'! like it - don't watch it. Simple. Don't buy tickets to his shows, don't laugh at his jokes, don't watch podcasts and he will quit it. A guess A LOT of people are buying tickets and laughing at his jokes - so maybe it is just not for you.

There aren't many comedians less funny than Joe Rogan, in my opinion... Brendan Scab is one of them but I really can't think of any others, so maybe just him...? 🤷🏼‍♀️

No. He didn't "make his name as a popular stand up comedian in the 90's." In fact, hardly anyone knew he was doing stand up. He made his name on Fear Factor and News Radio. That's what he got popular for is Fear Factor. Then, he started doing the MMA announcer thing, NewsRadio and then he started talking smack about Carlos Mencia stealing jokes and everyone was like, Rogan does stand up comedy??! Since when??? 😳

I always tell people who like him, "telling a dumb joke louder and more exaggerated than everyone else doesn't make it funny." I don't understand why anyone thinks he's funny. He just yells into the mic. Thats his whole shtick. I will never understand how he's as famous as he is.
