Allison md3060 transmission push pad shift solector tcm repair wtec 2 failure
มุมมอง 17K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is how we fixed our push pad shifter i in our 1995 coachman motorhome that wasn’t lighting up. This is a WTECII md3060 Allison 6 speed transmission. The engine wouldn’t start, we were able to get it running by heating it at first which we narrowed down to a bad capacitor labeled N3p 1 50v Once we replaced the capacitor it would light up and start but wouldn’t shift into gear which wa...
Sprinter conversion tour, time, and cost
มุมมอง 7785 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a 2014 Mercedes sprinter van 170 Janis and I converted over the past 6 weeks. The build took right around 300 hours, material cost was around $12k for anybody planning to convert they’re own. If you want to see more projects we are working on or have done your can check my TH-cam channel out or Instagram @n8sk8bus Thanks for watching

Here’s how we calculated our 110v and 12v circuits. We are not electricians as you can probably tell by the way I explain this, but I did my best. So always double check your work. If you have any advice or questions comment below, thanks for watching, you can also follow on Instagram @n8sk8bus
Framing walls bus conversion part 7
มุมมอง 2005 ปีที่แล้ว
Here we are framing out walls to make a barrier from the steel bus walls which will get covered in plywood once electric, water, and gas lines are all in place. We took a bit of time planning our bus layout first, figuring out where outlets will be, where appliances that need propane and water will be, lights, where we will need 12v supply. Then we built channels in the framing to allow water/e...
Ceiling curve template for walls skoolie conversion part 6
มุมมอง 7185 ปีที่แล้ว
Here’s a way to make a template for your ceiling curve. You have to be able to get in your ceiling though next to the ribs, so if you’re gutting you bus this is a good time make a template for the future. If your ceiling is up here is a video of another technique I’ve used in the past th-cam.com/video/-SzuxYfNfzA/w-d-xo.html
Installing insulation bus conversion part 5
มุมมอง 2505 ปีที่แล้ว
We decided on using foam board insulation for the floor, walls, and ceiling (1.5” r7.5). Spray foam may be better but Is more expensive, fiberglass can hold moisture and mold and fall apart as we found when removing the stock insulation while gutting the bus. I also cut wooden ribs to fasten our ceiling to to create more of a thermal barrier rather than screwing the new ceiling to the steel bus...
Removing rivets and gutting bus conversion part 4
มุมมอง 2065 ปีที่แล้ว
Heres some clips of us gutting the walls and ceiling of our bluebird. This was our first time removing rivets in a bus. The most important thing we’ve found is to punch the center of the rivet out with a hammer gun and punch bit, or a hand punch and hammer. This makes chiseling or drilling the head of the rivet off much easier. screws are definitely easier to remove in most cases. these are som...
Floor rust removal and subfloor installation bus conversion part 3
มุมมอง 1425 ปีที่แล้ว
Our bus floor wasn’t too rusted and luckily it was a thick metal floor so we had something to work with without replacing the metal. we went with 1 1/2 foam board insulation on the floor with a 7.5 r value and 5/8 plywood on top. From past experience if you don’t insulated the floor it will take forever to get warm in the winter and in summer it will let a lot of heat in especially when driving...

How much did this sell for last year if you don't mind me asking? Looking for some comps. Thanks!
This video saved me around a thousand dollars. Soldered in a new capacitor, runs and shifts like a champ.
Hey has anyone had an issue on a DP where you have to push D more than once to get it into drive? Like it will light up and say it's in drive with the red light next to D but it doesn't shift the first time - Is this a simple fix?
I have an AT545behind my t444e International I removed the trans cooler lines from the radiator and and run it through a fan powered heater core. never goes over 185 now except once when the fan failed.
Please explain this like if I was a 10 year old. Your original lines for the transmission cooler went to the bottom of the main radiator and you completely diverted this to a fan powered heater core?? What is a fan powered heat core ???
That god damned transmission. If it just had a lock up torque converter, the transmission would be nice and cool AND you'd go up hills faster because you wouldn't be wasting 25% of your engine power just creating heat and turbulence in the open torque converter.
Do you happen to have the part number off that controller? Someone stole the push pad out of my fire truck and I have no idea what the part number is to buy a replacement. They seem to have a bunch that work on the MD3060PR but I assume they are all different. TIA!
I do not sorry, I no longer have the motorhome
Nice rip Thomas ef or er
Where you guys at in Va? Definitely would love to get some upgrades on mine.
In Floyd county
She's toast!!!!!
Very good info, thank you. Kindly, ....I have to ask. My eight point three alison is probably identical to yours having the same issue.. Before it was start and I assumed the batteries were still adequate. Tried with a jumper box and i'm still getting a zero when I hit start... Turn the key on and everything. Powers up low air buzzer and then. As soon as I try to start everything goes dead.. Had the same identified issues. Involving the allison no shift... At that point eventually. It would go into year and it always started.... Haven't started it for almost a year... Was assuming it was a battery issue. But charge them up and even had a jumpbox, still no start... So then after seeing yours. I might assume that it is going back to this shifter issue.. I'm really not capable to do that kind of repair.... Give me a New control box or pad or something. But I sure is that can't sit in the middle of the road. Trying to hit reverse or get out of a gas station when it won't go into drive.. Who needs that stress?
You trying to burn it up driving in low on a flat for that ling. I don't get what you doing. For what I seen it was a flat when you had it in low.
Good work that was exactly the way to do it whatever it takes to get it running shows Ingenuity for sure
Price?
$40k
Nice build
No yea this is awesome
Why don’t you have an exhaust brake on your rig ?.
Thank you for sharing this. Heating my ECU did indeed enable the RV to start. I've been working for probably 10-15 hours to try to trace down electrical problems and narrowed it to the ECU but never would have known about the capacitor issues. Thanks!
Killin' That Ally !!! For those who say add a cooling fan. Cooling was doing it's job. Notice the trans temp was the same as water temp, so even with adding more air, the radiator is still going to heat the fluid to the radiator temp. So unless you put an Aux cooler inline AFTER the radiator, in hopes it'll cool even further before the fluid re enters the transmission.
Can you get cruise control for one of these or is that just out of the question?
There are aftermarket cruise control systems that don't depend on the type of vehicle, but I wouldn't trust it. If the Chinesium fails, then you might crash.
Love to see it
Love to see it, over it
@@N8sk8bus yea no yea, no yea
Nice stuff and things bro!
Thank you fine gentleman, come visit
That seems like the right thing to do.
I just repaired my control panel using this video as a guide. Mine had the same defective capacitor which I replaced with a similar but different rating. Seems to work just fine. With the ignition on and the keyboard flashing, I only had to hold the capacitor with my thumb and forefinger for a few seconds and it quit flashing. No other components would respond. A hair dryer or similar was not required in my case. Thanks to this video, I was able to successively repair my control panel. No other TH-cam video addressed the problem with enough detail to be helpful.
How did you removed the keypad?
Y’all I’m laughing so hard. I can’t even watch the tour cause I can’t get past Him🤣🤣🤣💙 Love the Bus but it’s the Driver for me… Mikey: Should we just go jump in the river Me: Mikey Nooooo🤣🤣🤣
Are you pulling a trailer?
I hope he was pulling a trailer at least because 20.mph is slow slow. Or at least fully converted RV bus with full water tanks
Hello my friend. I have the same one and it hangs after 4 minutes. There is a piece that says 41113 T06 on it. I suspected it but could not find this piece. do you know?
funny seeing thats my username in games
Great 👍 job!
When you say "start the engine" are you meaning the engine would not crank over or the engine would crank over but not fire?
No crank.
How much for your bus
Dude that’s a nice Bus! Got to get some more videos up man. Your channel is great! 💪
The smartest way of doing the curvature template I saw so far. Congrats!
yesssss, best tour video
He ordered that custom wood ceiling on Amazon? For real? Link, please. Thanks!
This is amazing. I have a problem with the display coming on when it's cold. Today it was really bad and now I know what's wrong.
franks of course.... its good on everything... even says it....
😂
what a video... lmao you guys tried so well... haaah haaa
I'm only 6 minutes in and laughing so hard I can't breathe!
That’s how it went filming it too haha
Did you keep within the cargo area weight limit?
Yes but it was close, the owner had some beefier leaf springs installed to be safe
Wow, that is so slow! Is it floored? I wouldn't think a bus is that heavy.... but I guess it really struggles. How much power does that engine make?
185 hp 420 foot lbs
@@austinwlock plus unlocked torque converter
This is super slow bro. 20mph even for 10000 ft elevation this would upset me. Was this on a 40ft long bus? Were you towing a car? Was your bus a converted RV with lots of weight and water tanks full??
This model is more liked in costa rica the bkue bird model
This is really good, Played through headphones, cars speakers, and a boom box and the quality is top shelf
Thanks man
How did you get the wood to bend along the curve? The framing, is it wider board and jig saw a curved cut?
That's your karma for being a trash mouth.. 🤷♀️🤦♀️😂😂😂
Would kevlar clutch packs and different valve body help with climbing?
A transmission not based off a 70s design would help
Dude, you made really clean cuts but there’s an easier way. Tape the cardboard just like you did. Then cut a perfect circle with a hole in the middle out of plywood. Or you can use a plastic lid to a jar big enough to fill the gap between the edge of the cardboard and the buss wall/rood. Put a sharpie in the hole and roll the circle or plastic lid along the edge of the bus wall and roof while drawing with the sharpie in the hole. Walla! Perfect pattern. Now cut it on the cardboard first and see if it fits. Make any minor adjustments and transfer the pattern to the plywood.
I really do appreciate you opening this controller up, video taping and posting it to TH-cam. There is so little service information available and the price of these components/scarcity of them make it very intimidating to open up and try figure out. My father-in-law had this same problem and we found a great guy on line to fix it fast by shipping the controller to him, but it cost in $500. Now I have a diesel pusher with the same controller and before I take my family cross country, I will save this video and buy some capacitors and ribbon cable! I owe you a steak dinner for this information, thanks again!
Glad I could help, I know the feeling seeing how much these cost with little information online, I also found someone who repairs them for that price, might have been the same person. I was planning to send it to them which I still think is a decent deal compared to the price of these things, but I figured if I’m gonna ship it off to be repaired I might as well have a go at it myself trying to fix it
I wonder is there is a down grade from this system. Something simpler maybe.....
Pretty great
