Dude he sounds a lot like BILL BELICHICK lol
This guy is such a biased bigoted left wing jerk.
99.99999% of the intellect in this interview is on Neil's side of the table. The fact that Charlie Rose has interviewed so many legendary guests is a shame. I want to listen to the guest, but the mere presence of Charlie there, about to interrupt, makes these unwatchable.
“An Afro-American guy” That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in months.
I've heard that before about the "muse". It's a moment of clarity, of genius that comes and goes. Really cool. Many of them used to carry a notebook and pencil everywhere so that they could write it down before they lost it
Bob Dylan sucks ass.😊
Bob sucks he wrote a great song that Jimi stole...lol
As far as American singer/songwriters go, why don't journalists and critics include Paul Simon? Look at what he has accomplished! He's been more successful than either of them!
Dylan . . . . . . Paul Simon Neil (That's the list - maybe Joel too. Maybe. That's it)
Neil sounds exactly like Bill Belichek
Gordon Lightfoot
He could have mentioned Joni and Leonard at least!
When I listen to Neil singing Cortez the Killer or Ohio I feel that connection that is so real and so ephemeral that he is talking about here. Live music surrounded by others is so much different than recordings, but recordings can transport you to those moments alone and still get a taste of that pure feeling. Both Dylan and Neil have an economy of language that paints vivid pictures and stories. It is a real gift, and we are lucky they share it with us.
Nonsense.
Robbie.
Neil ❤
I once heard someone say that if songs came down a river that Bob Dylan must be living about a mile up steam from everyone else. It’s not fair, he just sees the songs before everyone else. 😂
He's not close to Bob
Neil WHO?! I'll ask GRANDPA...
What is going on in Dylan's mind when he writes is that he has an enormous amount of working memory available to him. This is what enables genius. Your best mathematicians have large working memory. The people in school who effortlessly get high grade have large working memories. I watched videos of Bob Dylan sitting in front of a rypewriter typing up the lyrics to a new song. Young works harder in his songwriting. I am pretty sure that it takes all his effort to create a new song and this can cause tension throughout the body. With Dylan, it appears almost effortlessly. I like both of these guys songs, but I recognize the difference in how they approach a song. Someone with large working memory generally has good garbage collection and throws out whatever is not necessary. This is one reason Dylan saysa he doesn't recognize the person who wrote the song. I am pretty sure the effort Young needs to put into his songwriting puts the memory of that song's creation into retrievable long term memory. He also has a lot of garbage floating around his brain. Dylan is a genius. Young works real hard. Different mental makeup, but the end results are similar in that they are both prolific and commercially successful songwriters.
All these artists with their "it comes from beyond" bullshit... why can't they just own it?
Townes Van Zandt, John Prine. and John Fogerty.
Daryl has side-burn hair under her fingernails.
Neither one were actually opera singers but they did have distinctive voices that you either embraced or rejected. Young's lyrics however do not even approach Dylan's vast repertoire.
Afro American guy lmao baby boomer
Dylan has so much more depth, wisdom, creativity than Young. Also Dylan is humble and has class. Young is a loudmouthed douche.
Awesome song.❤❤. Billy Ray.
I'm embarrassed for him
That's no different than beaucoup of others. Watch Elvin Bishop & his guitar playing 'Fooled Around And Fell In Love' on the Midnight Special. Look at Rod Stewart in every song he does ~too many singers to type out. This is way more entertaining than the static guys who just stand there in the middle of the stage the whole concert like robots.
Is it the hi-tops, the mullet, or the fake catching your breath like a figure dancer???? Nooooobody knows!!! It's the mystique of the Cyrus!!
Niel is kind of like a Canadian Bob Dylan. I wouldn't put them at the same level of songwriting ability and fame
I love Neil’s music. That’s powerful. I can’t stand his liberal bs but that doesn’t matter. Live at Massey Hall was enough for me to live him no matter what bs he said to the media.
0:16 - cue the Ironside siren because shit's about to go DOWNNNN!!!!
Neil has a huge ego like Bob. That’s one of the em reasons I don’t like them as human beings. They’re huge narcissists
They were doing this in Thailand too.. 8am. Absolutely brutal. Zero respect for anybody else trying to sleep. Therefore they themselves should have zero respect from non-muslims
Worse than a rooster
NOW I know where all the trump supporters against democracy and the constitution AND their now adult offspring got their stoopid frum!
most of the great songwriters are people you have never heard of who wrote and then sold songs to the stage singers
World class shitty audio!
Robert Plant said the same thing about Led Zeppelin's early work. He said, 'These songs were written by a different guy, a twenty-four year old guy, not me....'
James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, just to name a few that could be on that list.
I prefer Neil to Bob probably because he has a better singing voice.
Just watched the entire clip…… yep!!…. Retarded for sure
That retarded dance made him Rich DAMIT! 😅
If anyone is close, bob Dylan, Neil young and Leonard cohen.
I was actually there then I was a little girl at the time and watching them come down our block was scary I couldn't stand them because they tormented the block
As much as I dislike Neil Young he's right on this one
The Muse
We must ban the usage of loudspeakers for religious chants...for all kinds of religions...
no one is in the league of Bob Dylan especially not Neil
