dude youre a life saver
If the mesh is non-manifod, it'll just fill ALL instead of just the single hole, witch is really bad for photogrammetry
Yeah, the algorithm would need to be really smart to properly handle those more complex situations...
Thanks man it helped me a lot 🎉
Nice work! 👍
Thanks mate.. 🙂
Thanks!
really helpful
There's another type of range in the VSE, looking like a transparency grid, the frame range can extend further than this other one, and then the audio does not play. any idea how to change this odd second range type ?
Oww Damn, all that time I was inside a meta strip...
I guess you are talking about the "Preview Range"... In the same "Range" menu (that I showed in this video) there are some commands to deal with that preview range..
@@TheRedWaxPolice hehe it's actually yet another one, it's the Meta-strip range, that you see when you enter a meta strip. I was editing a nested meta strip, a meta strip inside a meta strip, not realizing I was already in this first meta strip, so it's meta range was overiding the scene range, the audio wasn't playing after frame 1200 which was the size of the first meta strip I was in. pretty meta.
can u edit colour with vertex map?
I don't understand the question 🤔
Thank you. Coming from 3ds max i was missing this snapping method :)
As soon as I add the curve circle, Blender crashes. So I don't know if this works anymore.
It still works... The crash might be a bug or something else... which blender versior are you using?
actually, what I'm looking for is kindda the opposite of what you show here. I need a way to instance a specific geometry (with custom shape, UVs and vertex color for example) on hair curves so I can "groom" them using sculpt mode. It seems like this is the set up you have at the beginning of the video but may be i'm being fooled by appearances. I know It is possible to do it using the "Instance Particle" modifier on your custom geometry and make it spawn on hair curves you generate using the old hair system in Blender, the one with particle system. But there is a big issue with that. When you groom your curves, not only you have way less tools than in the newer hair system "sculpt mode", but also, your geometry is getting squished and squashed while you groom the curves... So I'm trying to find a way to do the same thing using the newer system. Does anybody have an idea ? :x thank you
such a relief ,great tutorial , so move on how would undo it?
when I do that it only rotate to 90 degree increment. How can I rotate smoothly like you?
Release the shift key
@@TheRedWaxPolice Thank you so much
genius, I should think that earlier
Useful. I do the same in blender - th-cam.com/video/8_snhrVIcy4/w-d-xo.html
how do you undo this
There's no undo for this 🙂
can we do opposite , from poligon selection and convert it into vertex map ?
Yes, that's easy... Once you have your polygon selection, all you have to do is go to the Select menu and choose "Set Vertex Weight..."
Thank you so much, this is great
Thanks! 👍
Awesome tutorial!!
i've been looking for something like this for so long. Thank you so much. This is great. Deserves more views!!
Gracias!!
thanks for the detailed tutorial!
Thank you
Thanks
Nice! We finally have adjustable snapping increments!
Thanks! :)
Amazing ! Thx
great, now do i undo it? 🤣
fr
There's no undo for this 🙂
thank you so much bro here sub❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much ! this is definitely so damn HELPFUL! And I have one question: why can we only select 1 or 3 vertices, this is something that Blender needs to improve, this is not so good user experience .
Yeah, unfortunately that's what the feature allow us to do.... it would be great if they improved this, yes...
why you shifted blender??
what do you mean?
Thank you!!
Wow it's amazing! Thanks man! Is there a way to do the same but with redshift?
I haven't found a way yet 🙁
Remember you can only select 1 or 3 vertices (exactly), if you select 2 or more than 3, it will give you an error :)
Thanks for your good tips. Please tell me how to change material colour to "3rd and 4th colour". image is that... In this case.At first,"beige" turns to "violet".after that...3rd colour(ex.green) appers at the center of "VIOLETSs".and its raduis grows,so "violets"are exchanged to "green".And then...4th colour(ex.red) appers at the center of "GREENS".and its raduis grows,so "GREENS"are exchanged to "RED".
amazing
Ah yess, you very helpful...
If your hair is disappearing after converting to mesh, make sure you have a 'Curve to Mesh' node in the empty hair geo node setup.
How to animate this?
Using softbody physics would be one way, I think...
My hair vanishes ._.
super useful :)
the PERFECT tutorial. concise AF
hey this is great! I'm trying to render this using Redshift and doesn't seem to work. have you tried it?
Sorry, I didn't tried with redshift yet
i think there’s a separate hair shader for redshift. saw a tutorial on it recently. can’t remember where. sorry!
That will work for me, Thank you
Fascinating O_o
This is insanely good Thank you!

Hahaha... thanks mate
Oh you are the greatest. I am trying to do 3d-metal printed jewelry with your system. So I would like to start a hair from all vertices of a ground geometry. Would you have a suggestion how to do this? Ever so grateful!
You could start the hair on vertices using the old particle system, then convert it to curves and move on from there...
Oh thank you for the suggestion. Will try this immediately! @@TheRedWaxPolice
