My favorite episode is our story part one and the scene with the two monsters dancing and it was on TH-cam about a year ago but it was removed for some reason part two is available to watch but nooooo let's take part one off so no one can watch it even though it's the best episode out of them all except for Halloween

The grandson of puppeteer Fran Dowie, who performed on Don’t Put It In Your Mouth, spoke out recently. He said that the majority of the puppets came from an attraction called Canadian Folk Puppets back in the 1980s. The background puppets were built for various shows. The raccoon and horse were in his dad’s repertoire at one point, and the raccoon would blow balloons in shows. The blue characters were made for the PSA and is certain they are now in possession of a friend of Fran.

My favorite episode ever since I first watched it.

Great podcast episode! I have so many great memories about Today's Special. A few of my early elementary school teachers even showed us a few episodes of the show (on VHS).

This is amazing! Join In was a huge part of my TVO viewing in very early elementary school.

Dear Billy Van, you are better than famous, you live in the hearts of many of us who grew up in the 70s. My father always called me "Grizelda" because I couldn't cook and I still love her today. I use her as my avatar/photo on all social media. She is my favourite character of all time. Thanks so much for all you have given my family and friends. We still use lines from the show every time we get together and laugh our guts out. Love you lots, Grizelda II

I looked up Nina's other credits, and wow, did she play a huge role in my childhood! Bookmice, Sesame Park, Groundling Marsh, and of course, Muffy Mouse! I always thought that only the male hosts wore the Polkaroo costume!

Another great episode. Man, I remember when PDD came to the Sault, it was an exciting time.

I loved the show ! I remember sitting on the living room floor watching polka dot door ,and always a little sad when it was time to say goodbye because it went by so quickly ! My favorite toy was Marigold ,and i loved polka roo!

Polka Dot Door is one of the first shows I remember watching. I don't recall exact details, but the one thing that always stuck with me was the comforting sense of flow to the day and the week. I liked the little routines of saying hello to the toys on Mondays and goodbye on Fridays, story time and reading the clock, checking in on the animals every week, little things like that. Such a nostalgia trip to see all this again and learn how the machine worked!

🤗 Fred Penner's Place! My goodness what a warm, beautiful and genuine show. The intro music never left my memory. I too, would always look into and walk across every log i came across lol. The story fred told about Mr. Dress-up loosing his wife , then playing the song on the show 😢... Also, what a crime to destroy everything from the set! Very unfortunate. I feel so lucky to have been a child who watched this show 💓 it's forever in my heart.
