  • @WayneTulip-zm9gw
    @WayneTulip-zm9gw หลายเดือนก่อน

    Turning near side to near side allows traffic flow but it also restricts the view of vehicles from the opposite side, turning offside to offside doesn’t improve traffic flow, it can easily get gridlocked but the view of oncoming traffic is better turning in this way, obviously if the junction has road markings telling you how to turn then you must follow them but if the junction has no road markings then you have to read what vehicles from the opposite direction are going to do and mirror image them, if the other person is turning in a particular way then you have to do the same, you can’t do the opposite, it’s also important to take into account the position of the vehicle opposite, obviously if you’re both turning right and they’re positioned directly in front of you then obviously you can’t turn offside to offside, if the junction is big and long it’s best to turn offside to offside if you can do but always mirror image the vehicle opposite, imagine there’s a telegraph pole right in the middle of the junction, turning offside to offside you go round the back of it, turning near side to near side you turn in front of it, if you’re not turning with anybody take the shortest route and get out of there, you also need to look in your exit road, that shows you how far you need to turn, if there is a potential filter arrow that could come on turn near side to near side because filter arrows come on when we need to flow, if there are no road markings there’s no right or wrong way to turn, you have to have the flexibility to adapt your plan and change what you do depending on the situation.

  • @WayneTulip-zm9gw
    @WayneTulip-zm9gw หลายเดือนก่อน

    The car wanting the enter the middle did the correct thing by waiting for you to leave the middle as there is not much space even though it’s two way, they flashed their headlights a few times, probably got a bit impatient, well done for not letting them pressure you and for only going when nothing was coming.

    Let's be honest, the cycle lane shouldn't be there... Or, at least that wide. Catering to cyclists is all good and well but let's not pretend the lanes get half the use they were built for. Manchester is the same. Big cycle lanes everywhere but I can drive 200 miles around the city and spot three people on bikes if I am lucky. Gotta love the tax wasting though... But on that note and rant aside, anyone breaking a solid white marker into any cycle lane should be a fine and repeat offenders should be points and a fine.

    Yes that's right, it way over time for a total review of driving in UK before it ends up like Italy and other countries like that. The law needs to be a lot tougher on the standard of driving. I would suggest a dedicated police driving unit maned by retired police patrol drivers, only those that have been through advanced police driving courses, it could be funded by the fines issued for bad driving. This is one way to reduce accidents and the lose of so many youngsters driving cars that are too fast for their very little knowledge and experience. It should be that they aren't allowed to drive cars above a certain cc that have limiters on them. And certainly not allowed to drive after dark until older. The son of a police driving instructor.
