I wish you well. Your bird feeders are so beautiful. Closed forms are fun to make. I hope you get your kiln fixed soon. Clay is a wonderful medium to work with.
thank you!
Always fun to check in with Nu Kua! Clever tip on the shammy/chamois. Frustrating power problems! How would you adapt the bird feeder for a rainy climate?
@@skcamerican thank you! I woild maybe make some holes is the bottom for rain water to drain. Otherwise it is fine, it is fired to it's peak temp so no problem for rain.
These are beautiful and I would love to see your hibiscus flower pattern on them. I think that would be stunning. These are just as stunning, you’re very talented. I love your work and your down to earth attitude. You’re fun.
@@heididerksen8227 thank you Heidi! I will probably make more with sgraffito on them so stay tuned for the hibiscus pattern. 😄
Very cute bird feeders Monique! I'll have to try that out. On your video editing, take a look at DaVinci Resolve. They have a free version which works very well, but they have a paid version for just under $300, one time shot with lifetime updates. The paid version has a very good noise reduction feature. I use it to take my hubby's TV sound out of my videos, or remove the AC noise in the summertime. You do need a pretty decent graphics card if you're doing more involved editing, but I use it on my standard laptop for my clay videos.
@@patspotpage looking forward to see you bird feeder Pat! Thanks for the tip! It is usually pretty quiet here but for a car every now and then. Ow, and the roosters off course. 😄 I think my editing program has a feature like that too, I hadn't thought of that so thanks! I'll look it up.

Oh!...and that carved vase!...GORGEOUS!
Thanks Audry! To be honest, Thr pictures don't do it justice, I couldn't get it right. The colors in this glaze on texture are really amazing.
@nukuaceramicsbonaire It's a bummer we can't see the REAL beauty of a glaze through the camera lense!
Hey, Monique! So many cute things! I love the sailboat and the face planter! Soooo cute! Sorry to hear about your challenged electricity source! That IS a bummer! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Audry! The power situation is very frustrating, but it is what it is.... trying to cope.....🥴
Your big vase is lovely! And I like the little coral ring holders. Somehow the raku blue adds a special touch. The little boat is so cool! the wired-on sail adds a nice touch. Good luck with your sale!

Beautiful Carved vase Monique and I loved the bud vases and your game board with turtles also! Thanks for sharing this lovely kiln unloading!❤
@@anasclayhouse thanks so much Ana! ☺️
I didn’t know you could use Raku glazes on regular clay in electronic firings. How cool is that!! Omgosh that female planter is adorable!! My absolute favorite piece besides the carved vase!! Just stunning!!! Great kiln unload. Thanks as always!!
Thank you Heidi! Any glaze can be fired to a higher temp, you need to test though! I have had this raku glaze run of a pot like crazy! Which makes sence beause it is a lower fire glaze. As always, test, test, test! 😄
So wonderful kiln opening 😊 I love the face planter!!! So cute!!! Thank you so much for sharing ❤
@@AniasKitchen thank you! 😘
Great stuff Monique! I love that vase! Congrats on getting it successfully through the entire process! Too bad about the power. Can your power company do anything to make it more consistent? Is it a brownout situation? I also love the flower pot. I immediately thought of a spider plant in there. Such a cute idea!
@@patspotpage Thanks Pat! The power company say that fluctuations are normal...pfffff. I don't have fluctuations, I have constant to little power and they can't or won't do anything about it. I don't know what a brownout situation is?
The vase is amazing! Beautiful carving and color. Best of luck at the market!!

Such sweet pieces for your market ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for sharing!

Lots of little cuties. I like the way the small bud vases turned out, my favorite is the big one with flamingos and the multicolored fishes-Liana
It’s the power company’s fault, huh? If anyone can convince them to fix it, that would be you
@@lianaholtochsner I tried.....got my own measuring tools and the power is just not up to speed. The power company hides behind the fact they say there can always be fluctuations, that is normal they say, pfffff Bonaire is going through a growth spurt and the power infrastructure can't cope. Same with the roads, water and other things. It is what it is......
WOW that coiled vase…the shape , color, and carving , the whole package , is amazing! Sooooo beautiful. It kind of reminds me of flowers but then the swirls turn into waves and maybe curly hair. Like the way MC Escher drew things that turned into something else. Am I making any sense?-Liana
Thank you! Hmmm, yes, I can see a bit of an Escher vibe in it too. Not nearly as good as his work off course!
I get so excited to see when you share a kiln opening! The hanging jellyfish wind chime is going to be ADORABLE! How many pieces, other than pocket trinket type pieces do you usually bring to a show? Just curious. 🙂 Hang in there & be kind to yourself like you would your dearest friend💜; life is certainly hard but you are a strong woman. 💪🏼 Hugs!

I love all the ocean pieces! We have been to Bonaire on 5 dive trips. We love it there. But, that was before the cruise ships were going there. I think 2013 is the last time we visited. Hope to be back in the future though! I love the flamingo work too!
matte is luxury man.... Its really pretty if you know how it design it and add some textures to it. I saw a matte colored car and I fell in love with that dark green, navy blue really really luxury look.
I am just wondering if you can mix two or more pigments to create a different color. The green one you showed can be made very similar look with little white added to it to make a dark-ish sea green.
Yes you can! Have you downloaded the pdf? There you will see I have made colors by mixing more pigments. I use a white slip to make these so I do not have to add white, different percentages of a stain will give different shades of a color.
Thank you very much. I am new to this and I hope to learn more about it. Really appreciate your sharing of knowledge.
