man when you got that much experience, makes it look like a breeze.
Was looking for an easy way to remove the connector with a soldering iron... Now I've found it. Awesome, thanks for the video!
9 months???? HELL NO. Tell them they don't have lifetime warranty
It deff not the fan , if there anything else you can do to make quiet then yet try to fix it but if only option is another new fan then I don’t think so , only way I’d say to replace fan is if they said it was fixed and then crapped bed again cus it is possible first fan broke and the new one you put was faulty and had problem quick
The customer is the problem, not the fans
It is probably thermal throttling when playing specific game and then the fan spins faster than normal. Maybe it’s not a fan issue.
@@ConfuseMedia that thought crossed my mind. When it was initially brought in, they wanted the fan replaced because they didn't like the sound coming off if, and replacing it made them happy for 9 months.
Bonjour tout ceci pour quel utilité ?? Je comprend pas c'est soudure ? Cdlt
thankyou. very helpful
Holy crap i never got this issue in for repair until earlier today! This is the ONLY source that replicated the same exact problem my customers' console was having. Took the same component from a donor board, and it worked! Thank you so much! How did you even pinpoint that fault??
Oh nice. Another channel destined for greatness. Buckle up friend.

I need this exact fix on my edge. How can I reach you? I’ve looked everywhere
@@JackChevalier-xu1hk GrimwoodFix@gmail.com
just wanted to let u know even tho u probably wont look at this, when an xbox one of any gen may also be the x/s to idk but the splash not showing is one of three problems, 1 moniter/tv is blanking cuz of resolution, 2 and update failed on said console causing the splash not to install properly or 3 the hdd/ssd has ben replaced or upgraded improperly being the person that did it forgot the splash file
My experience is that any time I replace the hard drive, the splash is gone until the next Xbox update. I think it's weird that is the case when the OS1 file comes directly from Microsoft's website.
Have you done this with a USB-C port on a cellphone? This would increase the life of my phone by 2 years! Nice video...

Never designed anything with an HDMI but don't you need those pullups/termination resistors? @16:47
@@jimmy2drinks they're supposed to be there. But will work fine without them. Sometimes you just do what you can with the damage.
Great fix once again. Good job.
Great video! I was trying to find infos regarding the 19 pins situation and it's perfect! Thank you sir!!
This is pretty much prototype.
TRy this when the disk go in force it little faster in
I'm really curious to see if that card slot stays mounted to the board or if that was just where they were at during prototyping for whatever reason
Interesting outlook. My experience with prototype gaming hardware is that it ends up pretty close to the production hardware. They have to design an this stuff before making it, I'm not sure it's practical to design a proto differently.
Curious if those Thompsons have a lazer adjustment pot? If it has one then it may need a little tweaking.
True. I always consider a tweak a last resort. This one may just need a tiny adjustment.
Finally replaced my DS lite shoulder button today. For those watching who don't have a (precise enough) soldering iron, dont worry. You have 2 options: 1) Take the original button apart and replace the contact inside with the one from the new button. There's another video on here with a lot of views where the guy basically does this, though he just cleans the original contact rather than replacing it with a new one. 2) Simply glue on the new button using gorilla glue instead of soldering it. This is actually how the original button seems to be attached - using an adhesive rather than solder. Use gorilla glue as I doubt superglue would be strong enough. This is what I did as the original button was coming off - otherwise, just use the first method. Hope this helps!
@@lowkeykenobi5039 solder cannot be substituted with glue. The original part is soldered on, and replacements need to be soldered on as well.
Hello mate, ive got the one under next to the battery connector not showing current. Is this norm.
Like the bottom side of the battery connection port.
This is what super helpful, thanks for sharing!
I did this and it worked!! Much easier than repairing the trace all the way past the damage.
Does the board ever blister from the hot air.
@@Sctronic209 you'd have to have the hot air on there for a very long time for that to happen. These boards are very thick.
Thank you for sharing 😊😊😊
Old analog things. Seems like hall effect would be better. But gamers always need something to blame when they lose.
hall effect sensors wouldn't have any difference with this specific issue. the actual spring inside broke
Wow interesting if thats true
Great video my friend. One thing to mention is the serial number on the case of the PS5 will not match the serial number in the BIOS. You can edit this using this method here - th-cam.com/video/BBNpot8nrGg/w-d-xo.html hope that helps.
@@TweakTips thanks! Very useful
You can appeal negative reviews on google. Ive had all of my negative reviews removed by doing this. Not had many negative but managed to get them removed so def worth trying

@@christoffer6527 I was using CST. It couldn't get a read on the system with the corrupt bios I suppose.
I missed the part where you said you connected to CST, my bad! In the video I linked, coder say you need 12v rail in order to read codes so maybe it was missing in your case. A cheap EEPROM programmer for the bios and a copy from a good chip would probably be a good investment in case you ever run into this issue again
