yes, motorcycle is an add on to the regular car test. Passing this will turn your “class C” dl to “class CM1”.

I have no car and 2 motorcycles and they ( DMV ) told me this , so I took the safety course , told them about it and they handed me my M1

@@flukyreview9128 I guess you can do that also also, then if you take the car test, your drivers license will be updated to CM1 from M1

You guys seem to think the autobahn is a F1 track, I for one would like to know that the wanna be Speed Racers are capable drivers.

When it comes to licensing requirements Germany is amongst the most stringent. While stationed there I had to say the alphabet backwards while with left hand control the right hand throttle. The alphabet was in German. I was amazed to see some great riders there. California this is only a formality. easily 30-40% of riders have no registration, seeing bikes with no plates are the norm. I have friends that ride without an M1 and it's totally possible since getting pulled over in California for all but the most grievous infractions, is a non-event. Cops might wave to you slow down, but get pulled over at least here in SF, it's an insult to be law abiding then have some dude wheelie past you at 120.

Yeah dont think to much and just start riding, enjoying and learning. Once confident enough that lower cc will be helpful to clear this test as well. I have a 1300cc cruiser and thinking to rent something lighter and better in control for the test lol (PS I have been riding for more than 10 years and started with a 250cc)

Search for CMSP. It is the MSF of California. CMSP is a motorcycle training program under the supervision of the California Highway Patrol, CHP. You will get the DMV skills test waived if you enroll then pass the training program. For it to be waived, the training program you need to enroll to need to be included in the CHP approved training provider. There are other training programs but it does not waive the DMV skills test.

yes this is free. I think i paid like $30 bucks for the paper works. Very easy if you have experience in riding. As a noob, do not underestimate it...

@@THEMOCU yes ofcourse. if u decided to own ur bike(like what i did), it needs to be registered and insured. i was able to buy a used bike from a dealer with just permit👍. If u borrow or rent it, make sure bring the registration and insurance of the owner**

So is this like a trainer course that gets you your license after taking the online test ? I thought the $450 one was required you can just do this and the online and be set ? ( pls reply with a link or where to go to the website )

@@TAFRESHII The MSFC ( motorcycle safety foundation) course is an educational course consisting of riding on a range, followed by a test on paper, and a range riding test. If you pass the course you don’t do the riding test at the dmv you just do the written test and if you pass you get your license. It’s for all levels of riders and people of all ages; from experienced but unlicensed riders to someone who’s never touched or sat on a bike before. It was also like 3 days long😭 but very helpful non the less. Note that if you fail or drop the bike you’re done, no refund nothing 😅 If you’re interested just lookup “MSFC near me”

@@Lord_Bones Technically its 150cc but I know plenty of people that have done it on a grom, odds are the person doing the test doesnt know much about motorcycles
