Bikepacking the Alps
In the Summer of 2019 I rode the Albrecht route on my mountain bike. The route took me from Munich, Germany, through German, Austrian, Swiss, and eventually Italian Alps, ending in Riva del Garda, on the coast of Lago di Garda.

Zagreb is a great city to live in. Especially if you're a mountain biker, since you have the beautiful mountain of Medvednica right around the corner, with it's varied network of trails. This is how my brother, an avid mountain biker, spends his Sundays. Enjoying what both Zagreb and Medvednica have to offer.

In September 2018 I set out to ride the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri bikepacking route. I got all the info from www.bikepacking.com/routes/alta-via-dei-monti-liguri/, including the gpx for the route. I'm locking forward to do a bikepacking trip this summer but for now i need to heal up my foot and get fitter but whilst doing so I'm enjoying every single TH-cam video related to bikepacking 😂
Thanks, @Nikola, for posting this video. I see you have a MTB. Do you think experienced bikepackers could do this on a gravel bike with thick tires?
Joe Cruz, one of the guys who made this route, says it's possible, but not advisable. Some parts are a little rough, but the route is mostly gravel, so I'd say you'd be ok on a gravel bike.

@@nikolagereci2808 - one more question - is the route sign-posted or will we constantly have to consult our GPS or paper maps when we're coming to a junction?
@@sometimestempersfly no signposts I'm afraid. GPS device mandatory. I even managed to get lost in spite of consulting it every few minutes. But that's the beauty of bikepacking I guess 😅
Do you think you can do this route with a gravel bike?
No. Unless you really like to carry your bike. Some sections require a real mtb, either full suss or at least a hardtail

Some sections require a real mountain bike, but I guess you could walk through them.
@@nikolagereci2808 as long as the sections are not 10’s of km’s ;)
