~60 pounds (4.5 gallons) with 30 minute feed time. Preliminary test of The Nano "Max?
มุมมอง 2987 หลายเดือนก่อน
Running roughly 60 pounds of cons in 30 minutes through a larger version of the Nano. Half of the cons were classified to 1/8th material. There was some cross cotamination and my fine gold wasn't mixed into these cons, but it seems like it is still effective when scaled up. There is still a lot of work to be done but the results look promising so far. Royalty Free Music: Bensound.com License co...

I like this concept you are trying to prove out, good luck with perfecting this. I had a similar thought about the same thing a year ago, but using a 5 gallon bucket version on the river, so you only have to bring back home a small amount of cons that would have gold instead of a full 5 gallon bucket just for a few flakes of gold.
What pump and panel are you using? Going solar powered seems like a good option. 🦊Riki
The pump is a 180 L/H (~50 GPH) and the solar panel is a 10 year old GoalZero Nomad 7+ and it seems to be a little bit too powerful. I am sure there are smaller panels that are more efficient by now so I am starting to explore some options.
Now take that and upscale it to do 5 tons of material per your! You just got yourself a gold mine without the gold mine.
@@shineyrocks390 I was really hoping that by increasing the size, it could increase the size mesh that it can handle but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the case so far. However, with the right auto classifier, it could run a larger version while sending the plus 20 mesh material to another trap.
bagaimana kalo digunakan untuk emas debu yg sangat kecil, apa emas itu tidak terbawa air pak??
It actually seems to do well with the fine gold, there is a lot of “drop out” area with a 3 dimensional, 360 degree trap.
My assumption is there’s probably just a little piece of wire being pressed down onto the battery completing the circuit therefore turning on the pump spitting out water
@@LogicLincoln You must be new to my product. It isn’t really about the battery, but what the battery is powering :)
@@toothpickminingyou don't provide the name or description of your product. Also the video does not clearly show what the product does. It just shows water flowing through it.
@peatmans it's the toothpick mining siphon sluice but I'd rather it be called the siphon classifier as there is no matting involved. But I really can't wait to get mine and run it
@@peatmans Yeah I need to work on my descriptions more for sure, it has been a while since I have attracted any new people but it basically just catches fine gold at a fast rate. I just got used to people already knowing what it was but thank you for the input, I will work on explaining it more to all the new comers :) and thank you for your comment.
@@WrenchRepairsAndProspecting I know “Sluice” maybe isn’t the best term. My very first customer called it a super concentrator, so maybe The Siphon Concentrator is a better name but just because it is a more 3 dimensional sluice doesn’t mean it is not a sluice, I think haha. I know you said you would order one when I get the drain component figured out, I did make a lot of progress toward that but not enough yet to send a TH-camr to review. I thought you didn’t care for it after that last Miller review but maybe I misinterpreted your comment on his video. Either way thank you for commenting bro, I thought you were with the rest of the people who “seemed” to be against me. Maybe it was just me being overprotective of my baby.
Isn’t that just completing the circuit?
@@Drivelinemgt Yes sir, the point is that it is amazing that the smallest clean up sluice on the market could possibly run on 4 1.5v batteries, for 6 hours according to Grok 2.0. Still all experimental at this time but it seems like this system needs the minimal amount of energy possible
@ all we gotta do is 3d print a bunch of fingers to run 1000 pumps then we are off to the races😂. Still interesting tho. Figuring out stuff is fun, and making new things always gives you ten more ideas for the next 10 things.
Ah I added an extra battery to the mix taking it from 4.5 to 6 volts, and has been running for the past hour nonstop. So I should clarify that I now have 4 1.5v in series that is working pretty damn good so far.
@ that’s cool! Keep making videos!
@ I understand what you are saying, but this isn’t anything new. This device has a global reach at this point, it is world wide even though it doesn’t show up on your main prospecting feeds that most people watch :)
I've seen that device before. What's it called? Some kind of filter system.
@@paulshrove9901 In a way yes, but so much different at the same time :)
@@paulshrove9901 Ah and it is called The Siphon Sluice - Nano, I didn’t answer your question last time so I apologize. It is basically a super concentrator for gold bearing material, it doesn’t get it down to pure gold but it significantly reduces the amount of cons that needs to be further processed.
@toothpickmining Thank you. I've seen it before and couldn't remember the name. Making it much harder to find again. I'm always looking for different and better ways to get the small stuff. I appreciate the help. 👍

@@savinvera836 I was recently contacted by Muhseen Hassan in Kenya, a community advocate, who is looking for a way to reduce the use of mercury. I am sending him a Dual Nano but he mentioned that they are off grid. I had this old solar panel and thought id try it out, seems to be working good so hopefully this will be a big step in the right direction for them :). Thank you for the comment 👍
This is a real solution for a lot of problems facing artisanal miners in Kenya, especially the women who wash cons for men miners and use mercury with their bare hands. Energy efficient, saves water and portable. Good stuff.
@@BabaTaifa Thank you good sir, it will take some getting used to for them but I do believe it will help in some way and hopefully enough to significantly reduce the amount of mercury they use!
@@BabaTaifa Sawa Gold eh… :)
@toothpickmining lol yes brother, Yes. Can't wait to test this out.
Does the dual nano you are currently shipping come with the extra pieces/options?
@@bnae38 I used to include some experimental pieces that were meant for crushed ore but I wasn’t able to test it enough and when I did it didn’t seem to help much. I have updated the look of the design a little too recently so I still need to take the new photos and update the website
@toothpickmining I'm interested in using it on bond wires from incinerated IC chips (e-scrap processing). Likely classified ultra fine before sluicing.
@@bnae38 For some reason it doesn’t notify me when you comment so I just now seen this. That would be interesting to see how it works with e scraping, it will most likely super concentrate the material but you may have to do a little post processing after that. Send me an email to toothpickmining@gmail.com. We can discuss this further and figure something out so you can test it.

@@MerchantMarineGuy Bro! Welcome back. Things are getting good 😎
What’s the buzzing sound?
@@brittdoss there’s a vibration component that helps stratify the material
@ It is a “vibe capsule”, better known as something else lol but it turns out to have a really good use for prospecting
Okay, you got my attention since i have the nano sluice. Is it a vibe module used on cell phones?
@@savinvera836 I meant to reply yesterday but had to find a video and ended up getting side tracked. I just uploaded a short though that shows my good friend/OG customer testing the vibe on the Dual Nano with a stand he developed that acts as a third trap and magnetite separator. He has been non stop testing and developing new products for the past 2 years or so that we are about to be promoting so definitely check him out. As of now, him and his manufacturer has a Facebook page that they created a few days ago “ Gold Hive Originals “. Follow them for all the latest updates. He is ready to launch a vibe setup that should pretty much work on every cleanup sluice. As far as this video goes, I was mainly experimenting with embedding the vibe into the stand but his approach seems more practical and is wireless. With a pound or two of alluvial gold you shouldn’t really need it but if you are running more than that, or if your running crushed ore like he is then it makes a bigger difference.
@@savinvera836 Ah and no it is not from a cell phone, its from more of an adult type stuff haha, which is weird to talk about but it turns out these things have more uses than its original purpose lol

That sluice is neat but I have no patience 😊
@@mandybrown7758 Ah yeah, this was in my earlier years before I had a sellable product. This design still has some potential that I will explore more when I begin to have free time again :)
Neat little setup
I know the Nanos, but who made the tower!!!
Are the STL files any where to get this downloaded.. that wouldn't take long to 3d print.. it would probably cost about $2 to $4 worth of filament, I have a nice transparent blue that it would look good in... was this one made from recycled plastic from drink bottles. The black sand, a lot of it is iron, use a magnet on it to take it out.
I thought about providing the STL files but I spent so much time developing and redefining the design to create a product that I could start a business with, I am afraid of selling the STL and then having it shared for free. Although I do understand most of my customers are older and dont have 3d printers so it is definitely something I think about doing but I have some concerns to address first. I know about removing the black sands but I like to test each run without removing them to see how it does (as well with panning to challenge myself) and in some cases like in Australia, not all black sands are magnetite. From all the testing though, it seems like the black sands help to recover gold, which I know seems completely opposite from most other devices but it really does seem to help, or at least doesn’t affect the recovery rate unless you run 4 gallons or more of material. That depends on the material of course but nonetheless black sands dont usually seem to affect the recovery rate. Id be willing to do a trial type run with selling the STLs if you are up for that. No promises as there is a lot to figure out about that but I am willing to talk more about it if you are interested, email me at toothpickmining@gmail.com.
@@FrankBlackcrow Oh yeah, right now its PETG filament bought in rolls but that is the plan one day to recycle old bottles to turn into my own filament and then print my products from there
Works like a charm
@@shineyrocks390 Thank you sir, I am working on a video running 8 pounds of crushed ore from Alaska. The velvet turbulent flow of material in the tailings container always amazes me. The bigger one still needs some work but I will be getting back to work on that pretty soon.
What is the final production run on these that you are satisfied with? Thanks. John from New Zealand
Gezz a I forgot to respond, I apologize. Im not sure what you mean with final production run. If you are talking about the amount of material it can run, then it should be able to run for hours and maybe 120 pounds of concentrates before it starts losing gold. However it still needs some more work to retain the fine gold. This is based off of the smaller version which works great but scaling it up seems to have some challenges so far.
A new project? A good test, sir 👍🤠
@@Ltn.Immelmann Yes sir, just a larger version so I’m not completely starting from scratch but there is still a lot of work and testing to be done :)
It's like an old school tractor sediment bulb that filtered the fuel line before they made fuel filters.
@@shineyrocks390 I had to do some research on that and yeah surprisingly it is kind of similar. I couldn’t find any good videos of it working or a cross section of the design but it seems like this device would work as a sediment bulb if it was made of the right material for gas. That is interesting though, thank you for making that comparison, I might have to try that out one day just to see what happens.
Sold
I only have one question. Do you use jetdry or some type of soap in your water to catch the ultra fine gold? I think this would be a great thing to have for catching beach gold. I live on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon. There is literally tons of beach gold mixed in black and blonde sands. If you can scale this up, I truly think you are on to something great. What I like most is it wont rust or be destroyed by salt water. It doesn't weigh a ton like some of the commercial models already out on the market. So many people go for big gold and most likely they won't find it. This would allow me to get the small gold that I go for and not break my back or my bank to get it. Small gold weighs heavy when you have enough of it. Also many places won't allow you to run any gold catching tools that have an engine unless you have special permits. This is a great idea and something I want to add to my arsenal! 👍
I do use jet dry with just about every run. This would definitely work for beach sands, it might be slow for all day use but I am working on a slightly scaled up version that I ran about 60 pounds of cons in 30 minutes. The last video I uploaded shows that one. I am hoping this larger version will be good for beach sands or high volumes of crushed ore. The material has to be classified to -1/8th inch material, other than that it seems like it would be good for the beach. It should be as fast or slightly slower than existing products on the market right now but with this you should be able to fill up a 2 or 5 gallon bucket hopper full of dirt and walk away while it processes the material by itself so you dont have to constantly hand feed it. There is a ton of fine gold everywhere and with the right equipment it should end up being easier to get than the bigger stuff, thats just a guess a this point. And yeah you should be able to use it in most places. I live in California and we have the same laws but I think you can use it as long as it’s like 50 feet from a water source and you recirculate the water. Send me an email to toothpickmining@gmail.com, I can send you a prototype of the larger version to play around with. I’ll just charge the $18 shipping fee. It will be several weeks before I finalize that design but so far it seems like it will be useful in certain situations.
this would be good for a lot of things grate work
Thank you, yeah it still needs a lot of work but it seems like a would be a good device for field work when using - 1/8th material
Looking good indeed fam. Cool setup indeed 😎. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Yes Sir you keep doing the same and keep up the good work, “Strong emoji” haha I’m not always sure how to do those emoji’s like yall do.
That is looking very promising for folks who would like to run larger amounts at a time. Hope it works out for you.
Thank you for the comment, there is still a lot of work to do on this model. It handles 1/8th inch mesh pretty good but only time will tell if it is practical for that mesh size. However, at this point I do believe it would be great for handling large amounts of crushed ore.
مرحبا بك يا عزيزي من فضلك من اين نحصل على هذا الفلتر لو سمحت الرد ازا تكرمت
How much sand can it process at a time? Can I run 10 kg of sand through it and trap all the gold that was in it? :)
Hey Teo, yes sir, I have ran 11.3 kilos and it did a good job. I thought I made a video to share with you but I guess not. It will take an hour or less and you will probably get around 95% recovery in the first run. After the first 20 minutes or so the feed rate will slow down but as long as there is material coming out of the discharge tube then it is still processing. Another TH-camr ran his 5 gallon bucket of cons and was impressed so yeah it will run as long as there is dirt coming out of the discharge tube.
Awersome keep up the amazing work. Look forward to your next vids.
Thank you Sir, I am getting back into the swing of things and have some things to make new videos with :)
I bet you can change the flow rate by lowering the pump to adjust the material retention.
I apologize for the late reply but yeah that is one way for sure, the height of the discharge tube plays a role in that as well and also there are USB motor controllers that others and me have been using to control the flow.
@@toothpickmining I did see the USBs in your other videos. Your setup is epic.

Thank you, there is more to come :) it takes a lot time but step by step I am making progress.
Seeing any improvement with the vibe?
Not yet, it’s all sulfides so it’s hard to see the difference in a pan but the vibration definitely helps. Even with the material compacted on the bottom I see it all move a little when I turn the vibe on.
stop edging it
Surfactant is necessary.
Why not build a much larger one that can do some volume?
I do plan on making bigger ones but it’s best to start small and figure out all the little details before going bigger. This setup can do 4 gallons in little over an hour though so, it can handle more than it seems like it could.
interesting but i can hand pan a lot faster.
Um ok, thank you for letting me know lol

It is pretty cool huh? One of my customers started with this idea a few months ago and has been collaborating with another customer to come up with this beauty. The loose rings hold a vibrator that settles the gold deeper in the traps, and yes that kind of vib lol I will be doing a video explaining it in more detail hopefully soon.
