Lemax 2023 Rudolph the LED nosed Traindeer
Hi, this is our 2023 Lemax Christmas village set over 3 level. Various new items required an expansion to the previous setup.

Here is our 2022 Lemax Christmas village, it is different on both levels from last years. See if you can spot the changes. I've put a new motor into the skating rink so that's working again.
Lemax Christmas village gets a visit by Davy Crockett

This years Christmas village on two levels with backdrops and some series 4 track with Davy Crockett (should have put some smoke oil in) A few 3D printed items on there and a lot to be done for next years layout. Didn't run the wagons as they kept jumping the tracks, methinks they need more weight in them? If you enjoy please hit the like button.

Picked up a cheap train on eBay, described as a runner, broken cow catcher, an engine I had wanted as a young lad. Got it out of the packaging, had a look over it. Popped it on the track and applied power, turned power off, added some oil down the smoke stack and after one lap captured it on my phone. Watch the video and tell me if I'd got a bargain?

That's the inner loop live and running trains, the session didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked but these things happen. Still got a lot to do on the outer loop and even more on the inner but it is so satisfying to get another step forward. Winston, syncro smoke 1st loft layout

The first loft layout was approx 5' x 6', soon realised it was far too small for what I wanted. I did have some fun testing and trying things out. This short video is of Winston Churchill with syncro smoke in fine fettle. The engine is currently in the engine shed awaiting a replacement smoke unit (piston seized)

Hi, thought I'd have a play this evening, it all went pear shaped! With the camera wagons bogie jumping the track, derailments, knocking over a tunnel portal, train disconnecting from carriages and a final jump of the points into a stationary engine! I'm sure other more professional modelers must also have bad days... Take a look, smile at the misfortune (I did) Make a comment, hit the like or ...
Happy with the outside track

I'm happy with the shape and run capability of the outside track even at high speed. Filmed again with the SQ8 at the back with the B12 and 6 very old blood and custard carriages inc the two from my original 1960 train set.

2nd run was a non event, littered with failures and expletives so into run 3. which is a play with a couple of Pullmans, the trailing carriage is also lit but has connectivity issues.

Hi, after many years (since 1960 and my 1st Triang) of tentatively playing with I have finally got around to building a layout in the loft of our current (and final) house. The loft is huge and open but is full of all sorts of 'Yep we'll need that later' as will be seen when I load the first efforts on approx 6ft x 5ft base, it didn't get very far as I soon realised I wanted something bigger. Did you have the Tender too? I think they released it again as the 'Toy Story 3' set.

@@alansoogaugetrains2281 I saw a video on that Toy Story train a while back but it's not the same. It looks like some cheap, repainted Chinese toy. Shame.

Thanks for the comment, it's most appreciated. Target for next year is to get children's choir recital and the skating rink working again, also a complete makeover of the train. Methinks the 3D printer is going to get a lot more work to do. Happy New Year :-)

Thanks for the comment Oscar, most appreciated. The wife saw it and said that'll look good pulling the Christmas train! so I managed to pick up another to respray etc. undamaged body but heavily play worn, run well and smokes, no light as of yet.
