Definitely using that air fryer analogy 😂It's so funny because I am the exact opposite with my FanRo (i like pretty much even with plot and romance) I think you might like L J Andrews or Danielle Jensen - their books are less fantasy and more romance set in a fantasy world, there is still a decent plotline but they felt more romance heavy to me. Great vlog as always, this has been so fun, so glad we decided to do this 💞

I love the infernal devices series its arguably one of Clare’s best word and I highly recommend that and the last hours series after it. The mortal instruments is good but it’s questionable in theme at points but there is a graphic novel being released of it which might be easier to read. I’m still to read her dark artifices series as I’ve only read the first one when it was first released and she has a couple spin offs that aren’t essential but I’m a huge Clare fan and I have pretty much all her shadow hunter books

The Art of Prophecy is EVERYTHING!! The writing is humorous and witty. The world building is grand and intriguing. The fighting scenes are action packed and well written. I LOVE Taishi, she’s an older FMC that you can’t help but fall in love with. I would recommend this for someone looking to get into fantasy 😊

Cassandra Clare is really easy fantasy to get into in my opinion, it’s YA and written as good entryway into fantasy. Clockwork Angel and City of Bones both deal with characters being introduced to the shadowhunter world.

Just a little tip try keep your books closer to the front of your shelf rather then the back just so that they have breathing space which will give them less of a chance to get damaged and book mold. Love your shelves and your cherry jellycat :)

for the shadowhunters series, if you'd like to start with Clockwork Angel, then I'd read it as The Infernal Devices, Mortal Instruments, Dark Artifices, Last Hours. If you'd like to read it in what I consider the best reading order, then read the First Three Mortal Insturments books (City of bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass), the Infernal Devices, The last three mortal instruments books (City of fallen angels, city of lost souls, city of heavenly fire), Dark Artifices trilogy, Last Hours trilogy!

The 1000 subscriber plaque 😭 that’s so sweet! You have so many books I want!!! The litfic and mythology sections as well as some other titles. I don’t think Time War is the best introduction to sci-fi just because it’s also very poetic and lots of real world references and things, I don’t know. It wasn’t my favorite so I’m biased but I’m sure there are other books that would be more straight up sci-fi you know? The bookshelves turned out so so nice, very good job with that. I can’t wait for Castle Rules! 😄 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! 😂 And you need to read Beartown!

Great vlog! I’ve really wanted to pick up Phantasma! I love reading dark academia this time of year but mostly it’s just fantasy and fantasy romance. If you wanted to read more horror but on the tame side, I loved Mexican Gothic my Silvia Moreno Garcia

Ok so two things. First: read LIGHTS OUT! It’s not dark. It seems like it is but he is such a cinnamon role. Second:Insatiable is one of the darkest books I’ve ever read. ( I think it’s darker than Haunting Adeline) It’s suuuuper messed up. But I will be reading the second at some point bc it leaves on a cliffhanger.

I reaaally disliked Caraval so I guess Phantasma can only be better (for me personally) 😁 But I don't know if I would go for it because of that negative association...

I’m a coward, I’m reading everything but spooky books this time of year 😊 I would love for you to read Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. It’s quite short, gothic and beautiful, but also creepy! It says it’s YA, but I think that’s mostly because the characters are young. There’s a bit of teenage love in there. I would love a reading vlog with that one just to see your reaction 😅 Free time in your own apartment is such bliss!

Loved the seven year slip! Also loved the dead romantics by her- novel love story was a bit meh but still good 😂 I agree completely with your reckless rating, dnf’d that series because I just didn’t care at the end! NetGalley is so addictive but agree, try to hold back on signing up for all the arcs 😂 just end up stressing and for me it impacts my enjoyment of the book Great wrap up!
