Hey, wouldn't it be funny if this night was the last time we ever talked to each other?
มุมมอง 229K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I think there are people that help you become the person that you end up being, and you can be grateful for them even if they were never meant to be in your life forever. I'm glad I knew you too. "Knew," huh? Mm. Hey, wouldn't it be funny if this night was the last time we ever talked to each other?

    What i love most about this, is that it's on her terms. She could've been bombastic and told him off with the most hurtful and poignant words, or she could've given him the comfort of forgiveness (even if she didn't mean it or he suspected she didn't mean it). Instead, she was finally able to do what she She wanted to do in these types of moments: be fully honest and uncompromising in her choice. She doesn't have any leftover hate for him (or at least none that she feels like sharing with him) and hopes, for his sake, that he gets better, but doesn't care anymore if he does. She doesn't want him in her life anymore, doesn't want that pressure, that weight, that worry. It's very bittersweet, but it's what she wants, better than what he deserves, and is a valid choice.

    I swear there's another show with this line, but I can't find the show anywhere. I know it's an anime with a chibi spinoff, it has 'dog' somewhere in the name, and people kept editing that like with "Space Song" playing in the background

    The show was absolutely worthless. There was no point to it. Oh, Jack was the same person at the end that he was at the beginning. Diana got fat and married a water buffalo for some reason and move to Chicago. Let me tell you with someone who just moved out of Illinois and down to Florida. No one is moving into Chicago. This series did nothing but waste my time. It wasn’t even funny just a long stretched out bore of a TV show.

    This show was very mature despite how it looked, I learned a lot about trauma and how it can alter a person if you refuse to address the issues you have faced. It felt very real when you watch bojack and how he hid under all the alcohol, and multiple lovers as his coping mechanism to escape himself

    I was sad to see that Diane had full intention to part ways for good with BoJack. And BoJack seemed sad, too. But he didn't push it, and she didn't explain further. They both knew that they brought the worst out in each other, and it wasn't healthy to hold a relationship just because it may be hard to let go of someone who understood your more difficult thoughts, even if they did help a little bit. It was a sad scene, but I felt proud of the growth they both underwent.

    I love how at the start of the relationship Dianne knew nothing how Bojack really was. She only had her dopamine filled illusion from seeing his show as a kid and projecting this onto him. He knew very well that she was a Nothing at the time. In the End he has the illusion of a Dianne that again will fill the role of his friend while she has written him off already as she now is able to see him as he is. Amazing show. Wonderful writting. Obviously dramatic sometimes. I love how they managed to pull of an emotional ending without going the classic happy or sad route

  • @johnmartin4119
    @johnmartin4119 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder which people from Bojack’s life he’ll see again after he gets out of prison. Obviously we all would love it if Bojack still got to have his friends or we would think it would be more fitting that most his old friends move on without him. But I like that the ending leaves that all open, because you really can never know because as long as life just keeps on going you’ll never know what’s in store. Maybe Bojack will get better or maybe worse. Maybe his friends will all leave him and he’ll have to start again and make new ones. But life is ambiguous and what seems like the end now might be a new beginning later. This ending really does capture how ambiguous and unpredictable life can be and I appreciate it let’s the audience make its own interpretations of what comes next now that Bojack has his life back and has a chance to be sober again

      not attacking back isn't virtue, it's weakness. The adequate response was "fuck you, bye" and leaving. You don't sit there and wallow, you light the bridge on fire and smile knowing the toxic person isn't in your life anymore.

    • @Iamthe1who
      @Iamthe1who ปีที่แล้ว

      The medication that keeps her happy has lead to some weight gain. No one makes fun of her for it or treats it as a bad thing because she's happy and healthy. It is a change, but she wasn't "drugged by some guy(who loves her dearly) and made to gain weight". People will change and sometimes it scares those around them or themselves. But if it's for the better, it's probably a good change.
