That man deserved his flowers while he was here. Great guy.
This Gettysburg Train Station used to be run by the Gettysburg Railroad, which was a heritage railroad that first started in 1976 all the way until 1995, due to the backdraft explosion incident of one of their engines, Canadian Pacific 1278 (A G5d class 4-6-2 “Pacific” built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in April 1948 for the Canadian Pacific Railway, in the country of Canada) that they caused by poor maintenance.
Thanks for posting 📫
i think george marshalls dodona manor is better looking. of course we're comparing apples to oranges here as one is a farm vs an actual house in a more residential area.
The most important thing that pitching style did was to hide the cues that batter used to judge a pitch. Because the ball is only visible at the last moment, the batter has to nearly start his swing before he even sees the ball.

I graduated from Holbrook High school, the Roadrunners. I went from k thru 12 grade
I live nearby. You can feel the energy in the building. My 2-year-old niece stared across the room, began screaming, and wanted to run outside. Someone has remained inside.
I assumed this place was torn down and turned into condos or something like most things greedy a holes do in this country. Glad to see its still there and well preserved. Buddy would be glad this place is still standing.
Why ignore the fact that he said he felt no remorse for Chapman's death because it was an accident? Maybe had he shown even a sliver of responsibility, especially since he lobbed that ball in anger because Chapman was 'crowding the plate'... He was talented and successful but a complete and total narcissistic jerk!
You're a know-nothing nincompoop.
He didn’t buy “a farm.” He bought the farm originally purchased by Nicholas Redding, who’s family lived on the farm for generations. It was sold to Eisenhower by Allen Redding. The Redding’s lived on subsequent farms until their deaths.
if im not mistaken ike paid redding $44,000 back in 1948. for 189 acres. that's a lot of money if you convert it to current dollars that's over $500,000.00 like who knew ike had that kind of money on hand. even with a loan. that's no joke back then. then when he had to rebuild the house and finished it by 1955 the house alone cost more than $200,000.00 like ike was loaded.
Let's be honest, you all read Ray & Me by Dan Gutman, that's why you're here.
They said one time carl mays got bruised up broken ribs fractured jaw after his fight with junk Walter.
I live in holbrook

I have lived outside of Snowflake for over a year, now. I love this area immensely
Well I didn't even know that existed. Definitely on my list of things to see this summer
R.I.P. Coach!
I go to Mansfield school and this is the gym
May he R.I.P. he was a great guy.
I thought it was wrong that Coach Haskins only played the black players, but luckily something good came out of it. The white TW players weren’t their top scorers anyways, so playing them wouldn’t have taken the spotlight away from the black players.
I'm not one to talk down on anyone or speak against good people. Realization here is the game of football back then was played much differently than it is now. Look, that was a different time of era and as much as we want to think very keen about it the Notre Dame teams back then would just get destroyed by nearly every Alabama team's of the past 20 years. Like I said the game was played differently back then.
2:15 at first I thought the narrator said “but this b!tch” lol
😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this fantastic video! Keep them coming!
At the age of 5 in 1964, I met Carl and Esther Mays at a small ranch outside of Dayville Oregon. They both were characters and very good friends of my grandparents. Carl had taught my brother and I how to hold and throw a baseball in his backyard. Later, he taught me how to fish and he taught my brother how to shoot a rifle. If I remember Carl passed in 1971 and the last time I saw Esther was about 10 years later. I very much enjoyed the time I spent with both of them.
This one of the brokest towns in the world
@@CloneGoofy Its true though
Lol it’s a great town tho
a better way to look at it is affordable
The glamour of Route 66 doesn't have it's charm when people are unable to afford things, anymore.
If I ever visit this place even though im 1 generation past these three great artists I would be in tears
Interesting video, well done👍
Cobb threw his bat at Mays once, and another time tried to spike Carl,to keep him from throwing at his head.Mays was a notorious bean baller.
Thank you for this video.
Thank you to everyone for keeping our beloved coach’s memory alive. I’m from and born in the South Bend, Indiana home of Notre Dame.
Their death gives me depression because I love the three stars as brothers their music lives all that I can say 😭😭😭😞😞😤😤 I can’t get over it is a memory that we will never forget the great three men who worked hard to raise their families and treat their fans with love ambition they opened doors for all the rock n Roll artists is a gift from the lord
Who plays Amazing grace
We all love those three angels in heaven they are alive in our soul heart the music lives it’s not dead we keep it alive through generations
Sometime in 2019 or 2020, I would like to take a trip out to visit the Surf Ballroom. I use to listen to a lot of oldies music back in the late 90's when I was a kid and I remember hearing Buddy Holly's music. I wonder what his music career would've been like if he had survived the crash. As long as the Surf Ballroom stands, their music will live on forever.
Havok1988 did you do it?
Good stuff. I'm a huge fan of Gettysburg and Ike, so...yeah.
You also left out the facts that Mays was mad at Chapman that day & you left out the 1921 World Series cheating scandal. How convenient.
You left out the fact of him being a head hunter. That’s why Ty Cobb hated him!! He purposely hit Ty Cobb & many other players!!!
If parents hated rock n roll so much what would they think of modern music.
I live in santan valley and I've been wanting to explore all of Arizona. I've lived here for pretty much my whole life and I haven't really began to touch what Arizona has to offer. I'm excited to start my whole journey! :)
Skip Holbrook, I lived there for 30 years and it is dying.
I wish Mays had been sentenced to life without parole for the pitch that killed Chapman.
I love the Indians obvious we weren't born but it wasn't on purpose
Lord Jadus chapman shouldn't have had his head in the strike zone.
Mays was a head hunter. He hit many hitters on purpose. He was mad at Chapman that day. He didn’t mean to kill him but it is likely that he did mean to hit him.
@@jayq.mcburger9030 You BASTARD!
This review is concerning "Six D Tire & Auto" at 2421 Navajo Blvd. Holbrook,AZ. The owner and so called mechanics name is Jason. He is a Liar, a Fake, Fraud and a phony, hot tempered Idiot. I wish I knew more about him before taking my vehicle to his shop. He could Not repair my vehicle after he said he could many times. Incompetent Idiot. Don't go there, waste of time and money.
ROFLMMFAO. That is what Holbrook is known for way back in 50s that I know of. It will never change.
