Great video Ger. Thanks for making and posting.
Great 👍👍👍dedication. You do this work in the knowledge that you'll never get your money back if you sell.
Looks great I have 150 and 250 both punch above their weight
nice
Very nice effort! Thanks for doing this <:=)>
I just wandered in here from your Royal Enfield top end rebuild video. You did a fine job on that MZ. Yours hardly smokes at all! I've always had a soft spot in my heart for those "ugly duckling" East German things, and would gladly give one a good home if one came my way for a good price--especially a 250. Sadly, they're a LOT rarer here in the States than in the UK or Ireland. In the UK they were super popular in the '70s for learners, limited as they were back then to 250cc. Cheap, rugged and rammed near unkillable, they may not have won any beauty contests, but they were, after all, German made with lots of thoughtful practical features. Since I speak German, perhaps I should tell you that the comment below by "M W" translates as: "Instead of the music, a couple of explanatory words would be more." Precisely what there might be "more" of is left unclear. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed both the video and the music. Too bad it seems you haven't put any "more" up here in quite a while.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together. It gets a "thumbs up" from me.
Thanks for the video. i only misses how you put on the rings. i suppose you dit that on to the maked piston, prior to the barrel...
Lovely job. Had a TS 250 Supa 5 myself. Still got a soft spot for MZs. Well done. Thanks for posting.
Statt der Musik ein paar erläuternde Worte wäre mehr gewesen.
Superb sound what is exaust name ?
how much is a TS 125 worth? I have one in my shed and was wondering what to do with it..
Martin Byrne in germany about 300-700€
Thanks for the reply, hopefully it will be a bit higher in Ireland.
Martin Byrne In ireland i dont know. But it will be difficult to sell it.... But a top Modell about 1200€
Wunderschön Restauriert 👍
bringt nix wenn du deutsch unter einem Video von nem Iren kommentierst xD
A very nice bike and a good video. I have a 1964 Royal Enfield that I restored and I have fitted it with the 18 litre petrol tank. Makes my small 350 look way bigger and meaner. I do not like the newer Royal Enfields they just look like every body elses motorcycle. I just love the original British look of the Iron Barrel Royal Enfield motorcycle. Unit construction is for Japanese motorcycles.
Nice work man !
yes
Howdy. I have a Hitchcock 612 that had a piston seizure. With the help of your video (and it was a huge help) I've torn it down and pulled the piston out. The top ring is seized in the groove and the piston is scuffed up to the point it warrants replacing. I noticed in your video that your head bolts have a hole in the top and mine do not. Would you know why they differ. Thanks.
...and it starts up on the first kick!!! Excellent work! The annotations are great. Thank you for making this video.
A kormány nem eredeti de nagyon szép lett :D gratulálok
This is fantastic work. Thank you. Are you in any community where I can get some RE restoration/maintenance queries looked at?
Well done, thanks for the great video. Gives me courage to dig into my 2003 deluxe classic and get her running!
Excellent job and a great finish. I'm a couple of weeks from completing a resto on my 1980 TS250/1.
Nice MZ! Can you write for me the RAL number of this green color?
zjebana muzyka!!!!!!
At 3:37, ou show that there is no charging? As the orange control-lamp is still on while the engine is running?
very nice i have a cg 125 too and a cub 90
Great vid,but worries me that you did not get rid of the oem piston, they are a terrible piston. They let go and take top of piston off above gudgen and your piston, with that millage on it is way past its safe operating life.
Hi There, Thanks for the very informative vid. I have a Sixty-5 and was wondering how easy a decoke would be, now I know! by the way, may I ask what tank that is? it looks VERY wide, unless it is a trick of the camera, but it looks a lot wider than mine. Thanks again Dave
Looks like you had a good time, will have to come over one year.
ohh super sound a muffler :-)
cool
Nice !!!
That bloomin two-stroke noise all the way through!!!! Nowt against strokers normally but I'd ban 'em from Honda runs for ruining the gentle atmosphere!! Soichiro would be spinning in his grave if he heard that!!
