Why is Maltese the only Arab based language of Europe, if ones like Hebrew, Turkish and Armenian are also similar?

Grew up in Lazio, but moved to South Tyrol as an Adult. One of the most gorgeous regions in Europe let alone Italy.

' Hidden in a convent ', the life story wonderfully narrated by Marco, ends abruptly @ 13:36 minutes, where he is telling about the first chocolate of his life that he got, from an American soldier. From 13:37 minutes onwards, a totally different and unrelated film starts .... Want to know, what happened in Marco's life after liberation. Is there any other complete video about Marco's life? Please tell.

' Hidden in a convent ' narrated by WW2 survivor Marco Diporto,is very touching. However, the story seems imcomplete,.... because what happened in his life, after the war ended in 1944 and after the family returned to their home,..... is not narrated. Marco must be 83 now. I wish him peaceful and happy years ahead.

Can't visit a Maltese video without annoying Imperialistic Arabs trying to claim it as their own language. It's not. Maltese is a descendant of Phoenician and it's not mutually intelligible with Arabic.

I grew up in Vipiteno/Sterzing and went to school in Bolzano/Bozen. My Grandmother who raised me was from Napoli and moved to South Tyrol where my grandfather was from with their 5 kids. My Dad went back to Napoli for high school at the Nunziatella military academy and then moved to America at 19. He sent me back to live with my grandmother and my aunt and go to school. I spoke South Tyrollean dialect with most people but exclusively Italian and Neapolitan with my grandmother. I love South Tyrol and try go back a couple times a year. It is a beautiful place.

Mr. Citera of Cosimo's, thank you for keeping that Vespa on display and never riding it. These were the old stock work horses sent over to Vietnam in the 60's, and like the old cars in Cuba, they were kept alive by all means necessary. Parts cobbled together and suspensions altered in alley shops in Vietnam, most of these Vespas were parts and pieces welded together and bondo'ed over and coated with pretty paint. There are plenty reputable shops in the US, Italia, England and beyond which would never cut corners.

The blond kid spoke a perfect italian without any germanic accent. The other kid with dark hair, you could tell that his italian was influenced by his other language, german. All in all they're italian citizens and they do speak italian. If they also speak german, doesn't bother me one bit. In my view it's an added bonus. I mean why not? What's wrong with it? I myself for instance, speak italian of course and english as well and nobody has ever bothered me about it, ever. So it's about time we give these people of South Tyrol some slack.

Dope seeing this I was born in the city of Poughkeepsie where my mother lived also my grandparents and aunts all came from Belmont ,morris park Pelham parkway areas of the Bronx . I lived there a while but also had moved to fl where my grandparents retired I would visit every year and even as. Young kid I noticed a big Italian community in Poughkeepsie lagrangville and hopewelll area! Cool to see this and makes sense that lots of Italians go to the city first and then Poughkeepsie after ! I’ve lived in Westchester ny for a long Time and tell everyone I’m from poughkeepie and they don’t understand why Italians went so far up and this video kind of explains that thanks for the great content !

Im ftom morocco ,livvr in austria,i met today 3 women from malta near the bus station i understand all what they were saying,i thought they are from lebanon,then i ask them if they speak arabic and they say no,haha its arabic they just call it maltese

Italians love South Tyrol and I don’t think they hate its inhabitants. Lots of Italians learn German in school. I think it’s the opposite. As Alex said, if you bump into a farmer up in the mountains, they are likely to run down Italy but I am confident things will change in the future.
