Hey I’m a developer and curious: even with (currently) poor see-through resolution and quality, would this still be useful? Or is the tech too early?
@@anthonybustamante5736 I think the Qust 3 could handle it pretty well with it’s current pass through. I think the tech is good to go. It is more likely the architects and engineers doing there drawings in a formats that can be spatially used by a VR / AR headset.
How much is it to use the argyle tool for the subscription I wish there was something like this for free on my headset

Global Industries will sell anyone watching this a scaling ruler for $11.40 and i can only assume that's cheaper then this. Like all this does is make so you do not have to look a set of drawings. I will bear the burden of that extra .001 labor unit its gunna take for my guy to look and read a physical set of blueprints instead of paying whatever for this gay shit. shysters.

No. Currently Magic Leap 2, HoloLens 2, iOS. Our AR is used in the field on active construction sites and safety is a concern for VR/Passthrough devices.
@@argylebuild Is it though? With passthrough on the Meta 3, FOV is not bad. I've used HoloLens2, and found it very janky. No timeline on v3. I hear Magic Leap bricked their v1 devices, so I'm not about to buy v2. I want to use a system that is going to stick around.
Agreed. The response time for the pass through on the Quest 3 is amazing for the price. I would feel no worries about moving around a construction site with the Quest 3. Put this on an Apple Vision Pro so I can justify the purchase price :-)

Great question. It’s really hard, right? We have a patented alignment tech called RISA that was specifically built for large scale alignment. It’s continuously checking the environment for a discrepancy and correcting for it. In fact, that alignment problem was the missing piece that, when we figured out how to solve it, convinced us to fully commit to building Argyle.
I know the video is sped up, but it feels like the draw speed is much faster on the Leap 2 versus the Hololens 2. It looks smooth.
Word. Argyle renders where the user is at a certain view distance based on performance. When we switched to Magic Leap 2 the render distance was so huge. We'd never seen so much of our models at once.

How does the device scans its surroundings? (lidars?), Can It be used in other headsets like Meta Quests and How accurate are the augmented model in terms of measurements?
Computer vision + Argyle's Alignment. Yes lidar. No, Meta Quest. Within a finger (cm) for defined alignment points set by user (compared to control). Within inches during travel throughout the building or site.

This is just awesome! Infinite possibilities in the future. Tailoring to the specialty contractors and honing in on their work for QA/QC would be another revenue stream and a benefit to the industry. Just my few cents worth.
