I love how you’re sharing it all. Pressure is so easy to get caught up in and we often don’t realise it. I also sometimes think that all this marketing advice, ‘it needs to solve a problem for people’ can become a big hindrance for creatives. Because they get too caught up in future audience reception instead of just taking the risk and following their gut. Any kind of art is for the soul and doesn’t need to make any sense at all or teach something. That’s what I believe.

Having had negative experiences with Doctors myself and one traumatic experience. I understand your reservations Joanne. Although, I think doctors are better than they used to be. Plus we as patients are getting better at advocating for ourselves too.

The only person who can advocate for your health is you. Ask the questions. Sometimes if you don't speak up you get nothing. Doctors are not authority figures. It's not as if you'd go to jail for bringing up a concern. You can do this!

I loved listening to this version of Creep, because I really enjoy listening to Radiohead and love the original track, plus I and am a massive Thom Yorke fan. I love the way the mother in her and her sons version is trying to pass on Indian singing traditions and the idea of belonging coming from having connection to the earth through caring for animals, appreciating the world around us by being out in the world everyday; and through service to others.

Lol, I am glad to hear that I'm not the only procrastinator. I am happy to report the I have perfected the art of procrastinating in countless ways.

This was a fun track. Loved the guitar. Music for me is soul food and often a learning experience or a way to feel joy. I could see the joy on your face watching this track 😊

One thing, just one thing. Lists are great but achievement are the goal. Write a list but star ⭐ the one you will do no matter what. That way you achieve a star everyday and the confidence that everything else is then a plus

Joanne great interview with Billy this was such a genuine conversation. Joanne you always come across as a warm hearted, thoughtful person who cares about your content and is a great listener when interviewing people. Just wanna say that I think Billy and his channel are amazing. Billy always comes across a brilliant, intelligent and empathetic person who knows how to breakdown both music and lyrics. He warms my heart because of the way he communicates with his audience, embracing them with a real sense of full connectedness. I love his passion for music and anime, and the fact he isn’t afraid to lean into his subject matter receptively and wholeheartedly. His Ren and Em reactions are second to none.

Stuff the experts! It's that thing about "asking permission". Doing everything the way the experts say leads to standardised content and it's like saying "please, sir, can I do it this way?"

Ah, Bells is lovely. She's also in Wynand's song for Ren. She also does covers of songs I've never heard of, so as far as I'm concerned, she's the original. Oh, and she covered a song IN ITALIAN the other day. I'm actually kind of in awe of her--so young (did I really say that? Lord, I'm old!) and so accomplished. Be well, Joanne.

DIDN’T READ COMMENTS YET: but for me… I’m chasing that feeling of shock and awe I felt and the chills I felt when I first connected with him…and seeing that same thing happen to someone else… whether it’s REN, which I watch an unhealthily amount of reactions of his work, Billie eilish or 21 Pilots…. Seeing someone mirror and emote what I think I felt lets me reexperience by proxy…. That said, not all REN Reactors are the same…so there are different things I look for in different reactions from technical to emotional to both and the community is amazing.😊

When I look at the "trends for 2025" (most of them I will ignore because they don't relate to or have anything to do with me), it was said that shorts help people find their way to your longer content while also giving you the extra viewability on bite sizes. The fact that it is still valuable to you means that what you say has relevance for others - none of us is THAT unique You are keeping yourself honest AND pushing a boundary that's still there for you.

This version is so beautiful!! But I still prefer the original, because the voice is incomparable, but I loved the reaction, congratulations, big hug from Brazil ❤
