Love the TV and the car wow
why you show your hands so much in the video lol. Nice video though
Just randomly points and says change transmission fluid 😂
legit
Thanks for the video. Loved mine for 6 years. Now I got the P0A80 code with signs pointing at the hybrid battery. Think this might be the sign to say good bye. 😔
Their stuff is top notch.
It really is
That’s a really great car! I had two of them when they were fairly new. The brochure you are showing at the end is for the LS model, which was somewhat distinct from the normal Delta 88 series. You will notice chrome solid grill across the front. It also had nicer seating materials, as well as that steering wheel you mentioned and a few other things. Thanks for posting this video.
Still got this car?
Definitely
I wish I could buy it off of you I love this era of Oldsmobile
Yeah it's my favorite era as well
Still have the Chrysler?
Yeah sure do
#9 Oil Changes regularly
Thanks you for the tips prius 1.5cc, do more, how I maintain my prius 1.5cc hybrids battery,, 1.5cc prius converted in EV electric car. Possibly
Hi I m from Pakistan.. My name Hussain,, tell me about hybrid battery, 1.5cc 2011..how I maintain my car
Please make sure you Clean the Battery fan first, replace the PCV Valve second and then injector clean or as a minimum spark plugs if not been done past 2 years.
What viscosity HPL are you running?
5w30

gen1's have almost no friction in their transmission/transaxel. i would leave them alone imo. gen2's have a cvt style belt instead of a big solid gear which has exponentaily more friction, thats the only one i would change fluid in, especially if its in a hot climate and runs the motor a lot. just too risky for someone to refill to the wrong level or use the wrong fluid like im sure shops would.

Beautiful car! I'm currently doing up a 65 New Yorker
Awesome!! I've had a 65 new yorker as well. You'll love it
I'm surprised that you did not slow down to 55 or 60 mph when actually towing that would have helped to improve your fuel economy and reduce the overall load and stress on the car as well.
This is stolen video. That's lame.
How is it stolen when I recorded it on my camera in my driveway?
@MangieRaccoonsGarage this video is from Drew's Garage. I'm a subscriber.
I don't see my video on Drew's Garage. Though looks like he also has a Grey 2nd gen prius. Maybe we did a simular video? This is my first time seeing this channel.
Useful thanks.
Hi thanks for the video! What is the best way to clean the battery cooling vent? A vacuum or? I looked for steps online to remove it but couldn’t find anything. maybe you could make a video showing us??🤞
It looks like a very honest review Excellent job please keep doing your presentation about the Toyota Prius hybrid 2nd Gen, thanks a lot.
Thank you!
Toyota told me transmission’s fluid never needs changing. Also said I should only expect 125,990 miles. Told DEALER if I can’t get 350,000 minimum I’ll never buy another Toyota. I changed transmission fluid. Damage already done. I asked at 60,000. 80,000 then did it at 115,000. Hie dare Toyota just try to sell cars.
Think you for the tips
The Berrymans B-12 piston soak followed by Valvoline Restore & Protect works miracles. Blown away by the results on customer cars
Mix them all
What trailer size is that? Where did you buy it? How much? Was it hard to install the hitch?
Got a used 2006 prius for 1,500. 80k miles, everything original except the cat, which was stolen and replaced with oem. And a cat shield installed. Put over 200k on it. Still getting 52mpg combined, still running strong with the original traction battery.
HPL is a great company with very high quality products. That said II think you’d be better served by Valvoline Restore & Protect for the money. I’ve used it on countless customer cars with oil filter tear downs to show carbon. Also nothing beats Berrymans B-12 first, then restore and protect thereafter
Cool, old car took on an another new aspect
Thank you for video. Where did you get these floormats?
Y’all weren’t doing an actual test that stuff is proven to work extremely well
I wonder if AT-205 would solve the oil consumption? I have Prius with 280k and it eats oil at high speeds but not below about 65mph
I use at 205 to help with a rear main seal leaking. It won't help with oil consumption but will help condition seals
@@jd646 It works. Period end of story. 230K on my 2006 Silverado 1500. Was burning about a quart every 600 miles. 600 miles later oil still full and clean. Worth the 50 bucks.
@@patrickthennigan 🤣 at 205 has nothing to do with burning oil it's a re seal
@@jd646 Get a life!
Disc brakes or drum?
Drum all 4
What is the container next to the inverter? Mine shows below the level. Is it coolant or for the transmission? And which one should I buy to refill it?"
It's the coolant for the inverter. Takes the same coolant as the engine
The inverter pump won't shut down the car immediately. It will force the car to run much warmer than normal, which can lead to a blown inverter and engine if you don't fix it immediately. If you're close enough to home (less than a mile), drive it home, then baby it to the shop provided your shop of choice is close enough, otherwise absolutely tow it.
yikes, 2 pumps and a belt just for a pump that's so yukky
Also your air filter and Dr Prius software on you phone with and odb-ll Bluetooth adapter to check and measure your individual 28 batter cells voltage and fluctuations
How much does the trailer way unloaded?
Not much 400ish lbs
You had 100 miles with zero lube and just detergents….motor damage is already done.
Hard core crazy! The engine seems ok. Yeah, im surprised also, and after using hpl oil for a while, the oil consumption has drastically reduced. I've gone back to just regular synthetic at oil change intervals of 3000 miles with maybe 1/4 qt oil consumption during the 3k. Up 361k since this experiment.
Thanks for this video!! My Prius has done 111000 miles. It’s a used car. Single owner. Garage kept mint condition, was at 98k when I bought it. According to you what sort of things I need to do with my Prius? I have got new engine oil, transmission oil, new tires, cabin and engine air filter. Any more suggestions considering my recent miles on it. Thank you again!! ❤
GET YOUR HEADGASKET FIXED NOW
Coolant tested for compression gases, leak down and compression tests performed as well. Nothing indicates a bad head gasket.
Theres a chemical lube analysis lab that people semd samples to from boats, planes 18 wheelers to ordinary people and nascar, they got some 5/30 amsoil, 5/30 pemszoil, 5/30 mobile 1 and 5/30 HPL and then did their usual tests and was asked by one customer to do a handful of extra tests to show lubricity from high heat and boil point or boil over, viscocity change, etc and guess what??? Of all the oils (over 200 different brands including ceratech and moli), only 5 did not foam up hardly at all in high heat tests, HPL was the only one of the above 4 sent in for analysis that did above average infact it did excellent/unbelievable in a few instances and proved above and beyond in the added tests (HPL is used in high a few hogh performance amd racing, in marine high performamce applications, some racing aircraft plus many average people have switched over and tried the stuff amd say theyll not go to the old brand again. those same 3 didnt lose viscocity or the minerals during tests, while ALL others including the top 3 above (Penzoil, Amsoil, Mobil 1) dropped from a 5w30 to a 0w15. They also did 0w40 European mobil 1 and it dropped to a w25 viscocity. Oh and theres far to many people still calling oil by weight, BTW there is no such thing as weight as in 20 weight or 40 weight etc. In 5W30/40 what ever, the W stands for winter, and oil is by viscocity. Kind of like about 60% of mechanics shops and speed shops refer to torque as ft-lbs when thays incorrect and can not work in that form as it relates to 95% of all vehicle engines, you can not put 1 foot into 1 pound but you can put 1 pound into a area of 1 foot. Theres alot more to it than that but, point made. If a speed/performace shop uses ft-lbs on their website or in dynos avoid them as they might be good wrenchers and have good shop talk but they do not know what they say or do. They're in the biz to make $ and nothng more. Also, shops that do PROPER dynos close the hood and use 3 or 4 high performance floor fans that vary in speeds while dynoing, the fans will be on low at idle and as dyno hits 35-40 mph fans will be on mild then dial them up as the car dors the dyno run but I have yet to find more than 8 dyno shops mationwide that have varibly adjusting floor fans that auto adjust while on the dyno or use a person to adjust while on dyno. Thats why open hood dynos give overly false high numbers usually 12-20 hp higher than actual. Ask this: Do you drive around with the hood wide open?? NO, then dont dyno that way, because open hood dynos are good only for parking lot meets and bragging. Live on road tuning is a great too when you can.
