I got a free Craftsman T2200 and got it running and found that it must have transmission problems as I couldn't get it to move either. I will look for a broken part like you did.
Good luck
Of course, look at the belt and all the drive pulleys and then also look at the pins in the axles to make sure they have the little metal spacers(I forget what they’re really called)
It’s very rare that those transmissions actually go out
@@MurphyMower I will do that. Thanks
Great video. Can the engine run when you are off the stand on platfrom? Im wondering if i can walk it up rmaps for loading on a van...
Maybe someone else can answer as I don’t have it with me, but it seems like as long as the blades aren’t running you can step off of it Kind of like a seat on a riding mower
do you have used one for sale ?
I do not - I have a few but there are all on different machines
I've got a sears sitting in a barn with a original set of wheel weights I think I found a purpose for them
Cool- let me know how it goes
That is one fine pice of machinery. I need one of this, it would serve my purpose just fine.
It is a great machine 😀
I have this mower and it cuts uneven and misses strips. What other “brand” mower decks fit this Ariens? I’d like to keep my eyes open for one.
Craftsman ,Poulan,Husquvarna, there’s probably some more I just can’t think who they are
I don’t remember in this video, but there is a way to level the deck
Problem with standing mower straight up is oil drains out and into combustion chamber. Just my opinion but works for me,get the mower on a home built 24 in high table.Lift mower from the wheels on one side.My table has 4x6 x 8ft corners,I just rig chains to hang hoist.
Table is a great idea- I don’t I have enough room I don’t lift to high unless I need to for that reason (oil drainage) Thanks for watching
@MurphyMower My table ramps are removable and I use the table frequently for other tasks,I am considering screw Jack's on the corners.
@@randolphsnyder1505 this is a great idea. I may consider doing this.
@@randolphsnyder1505 my mind is now spinning
Good afternoon! I just purchased this mower and I am struggling to find a replacement side trim piece. I'd also like to know which bumper is that? I'd like to purchase one of those also. Would you happen to know where I can purchase those items?
I would start at Searsdirect.com
But you can probably get them on eBay
🚜🧑🌾👷🏻♂️I have a NEW Kubota BX23S! Her name is “Clementine”!
Kubotas are great machines
BIG, BIG LIKE #9 LEE from Mr. Garry. Found you on Noel’s channel! Full Support!
Noel is great Thanks for the support
Some nice looking tractors . Thanks for sharing .
Cool tractor s
Sorry I couldn’t make it sucks not having a truck
Saturday week we’re meeting back up at the coffee shop again
The 1641 was made by MTD, but that is known as the Cycolps series, they’re the last that were still utilizing the old IH design with just operating improvements over the years.
Good information, thanks
Very cool tractors. We have two Cub Cadet Original's waiting in the queue for the workshop
Excited to see as you work on those
Captain America or Jeff go? Those are some nice-looking tractors.
They were not able to make it Very fun show
If it’s a 1641 model Lee. I could not quite see the number, it is not international, it’s MTD. Nice F30. If you noticed the cables, they apply the brake when turning to help the tractor turn. A buddy of mine has one of those Farmall 240’s. Nice looking tractor. Great show Lee. Thanks.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was a 1641 Very fun show
A great turnout there at the memorial day parade then
We had a fun time
Its a nice unit there that troy bilt
I think they’re pretty good mowers
As edwardlittle5541 said, I have this same exact mower. Unfortunately, after doing all the work you showed, it is still very hard to start. I also replaced the spark plug and installed a new air filter and fuel filter. 🤔
I would also make sure(going by memory) I think that had a automatic choke so you wanna make sure it is fully choking
Ha-if that makes sense
@@MurphyMower Yes, mine does have the automatic choke, so that is another possibility, but I don't really understand how it's supposed to work. I don't suppose you have a video on that, do you?
@@scottkempton6085 no - I guess the main thing is that it moves freely- and is actually chocking Good luck
Hey Lee question for ya.. 1993 craftsman gt 6000.. dark grey do you have a paint code or color.. I want to touch up my hood from a rattle can..Thanks
I do not have a paint code and in the past when I touched up I just got whatever I thought was best in rust oleum That was several years ago, so I really don’t know the color match Let me know what you decide on. I would be curious as I have one of the GT 6000 with the onen that needs that done.
@@MurphyMower yeap no problem
By ring does he mean a rubber O-ring..? Fixed mine w/ a tiny little rubber O-ring.. Didn’t need a rebuilt kit. Didn’t need a new gasket seal for the bowl. Make it easy on yourself and just do the work that needs to be done.!
Yeah- but for $20 it all new Thanks for watching
It looked like a good show with lots of cool equipment
It was a fun day 😀
I have to tell the truth I was incarcerated in the state prison system and one of my job was outside maintenance with meaning we had to keep the prison grass cut and etc etc.... That John Deere 725 is what I was using to cut. Man let me tell you that is a good lawnmower. The guy that was in charge was Mr Jim Davis. He showed me how to cut with it. And it was brand new when I got a hold of it😂😂😂 I always remember how sounded like a 88 honda accord because my mom had one
They are fun to operate and a good mower Thanks for sharing
Nice tractors. Allways liked Allis Chalmers tractors.
Me as well
Cool
Fun show
Hey Lee , those were some nice tractors . I wish they had more shows like this around here .👍🏻🇺🇸
We have three local then there several a few hours away
It looked like fun but I think you were right about not wanting to park too close
Ha - bad idea
Nice work lee sir 👍
Thanks, turned out to be a good mower
Hey Lee , that was a hoot . Never seen that before . Thanks for sharing . 👍🏻🇺🇸
It was a fun day
That'd be fun
It was a good day
Great video Lee. Nice tractors. Fun game. Never seen that one before at any events. Sure like that Allis Chalmers. Thanks a lot. Great game for garden tractors. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
As long as you don’t get in their way, ha ha
Ya stay out of the way. 🤭. Dandy game
Did many years ago.
It seem to work pretty well
Do NOT do this with a carbide blade which appears to be what you did. Those carbide tip can come flying off with so much force that the personal protection you are using will not protect you. Buy a saw blade without carbide. Plywood blades work great in this application as they have small teeth.
Good information
Look as if they would do the job. I made a solid tow behind wooden roller 2ft in diameter and used palette planking 3ft wide drilled with 5 inch wood screws drilled at 3 inch intervals through the individual planking pointing outwards. Cost next to nothing, bar the time and a box of screws. Hitch it up and run around the lawns prior to a rainstorm and the next morning - works great.
Sound like a good idea Would like to see photos
Learn this yrs ago roofing out in the boonies in rural WI. IT WORKS
It seemed to work well
I have not heard of that trick before, thanks. We have a metal cutting circular saw and that will cut most metals
I was very pleased on how it worked and would use that method again
Morning Lee , I use one of those cheap HF 4 1/2 inch grinders with cutting wheel BUT I like your way better because you are cutting more material and cutting faster . 👍🏻
I was surprised it did cut pretty well
That worked pretty slick.
I was pretty happy with the outcome and I didn’t have to buy anything well except for a new blade
I’ve always heard about turning the blade around but have never had a cause to try it. Now I know.
It seemed to do pretty well
You could had used 3/8” chain links to hold the spikes together I see where you cut back the two brackets from hitting the mower rear frame
This was manufactured I guess in the 90s
How did you come up with this ideal
Not my idea, but I remember it from the 90s and I saw it at a yard sale and had to get them
They would be great to have on my mower for digging in the earth while climbing out of a deep ditch after cutting the grass
You would definitely have good traction
We don't have those flying things over here. The building looks great
Thanks 😊
Those spikes look wicked 😊
I would hate to run over my foot
Many thanks for directing me to this video. I don’t see any reason why a fabricated one would need to be kicked in, just make it square. How long is the slot in that bar that connects to the lift arm. My rig is a 20HP Kohler GT Craftsman, it just won’t die, 25 years old. Hope my zero turn last that long.
I don’t have that with me right now, but I would make it probably an inch and half longer on each side than what your base is But I think you could buy category zero pens from tractor supply and bolt those in for to hang on as well
I like the custom hitch there lee
Thanks- works well
Tractor show this weekend at long hollow jamboree 😀
@MurphyMower oh ok cool, I'll see if I can make it there this weekend would love to come there again
Those UFO's look like you may have a cottonwood tree somewhere. Those are good for clogging up a/c coils. Just my opinion
Well there are actual bugs
The lean too looks great Lee . I’ve got to add on to my lean too off of my wooden building . That way I can get my tractors out of my big garage . If it was spring time I would say they were May flies or ant swarmers .
Hey Lee, watch this video again. Think what could have happened if the wrench gave way... Look where your noggin was. How about a hard hat and safety glasses next time???
Hummm I need to go back and look😬
Has anyone had any luck finding a kit for these? At this point I would take an aftermarket built one as long as I don’t have to sell a kidney.
These kits are hard to find, but I did make this video because of that at least showing measurements. It really should not be that difficult to fabricate especially if you have some parts. th-cam.com/video/WOGhR7zoz1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vCgKMsEvdW6ivAJr
I think you can still buy the manual lift online
The one with the handle to the side
I’m not 100% sure it would work on the older tractors , but it would be a good starting point to fabricate from
Did you ever figure out what was going on with that one that you had worked on?
Not yet, but I still got it in the back of my mind. I’m going to check the voltage on that plug to make sure it’s at least 12 V. A lot of people said that is a possibility.
The battery went dead on that one and I’ve just been too busy to mess with it But it will be done
