We are Craig and Lucinda, two Canadians in early retirement travelling around the world looking for where we can either retire to or snowbird in the future.
We found a way to be able to retired early, to take care of some mental health concerns that was leading to some physical health concerns, since then we have never looked back.
Our next adventure will take us to the Philippines, Thailand, Loas, Cambodia, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan

Did you sell your place while looking? Was the language a huge barrier?
@@mrright1068 - we sold out place years ago and downsized to retire early. No regrets. We did a couple videos about that this past summer. Honestly language was not an issue. We won “the language lottery “ by speaking English. English is most everywhere but it wasn’t hard to communicate with Spanish speaking people anyways. Thanks for watching and for your questions !!! How was electricity reliability, plumbing quality, trash pickup, road conditions?
@@mrright1068 - it was all better than I expected except for the trash. They do have a plan that they execute for trash removal but it is different than what we are used to. Public transport was way better than we expected

We were there in Coronado in December two years ago and loved the black Volcanic sand that sparkles as well. It was neat to visit but not sure if it could be "home" for us. Great and honest review! 👍

Great insight. I am a Cannuck and left CDN when GST came in. I have travel in over 9 countries. I receive income from my businesses and 67 years of age. I visited Niagara Falls and area where I am from but had not gone back in about 8 years. WOW very crowded region ( understanding the falls tourist destiny ). Very high costs everywhere and the hidden fees like your carbon tax. I currently live in Jacksonville FL and FL and the condos are charging up to $2000 a month. Retirees cannot afford them and leaving. Crime and Crazy people growing. So I will be coming to Panama to scope out my next move. Thanks Eh!

My goodness, to complicated getting to the beach, not interested. Too many other places in Panama with less complication.

We watch tv via Roku, you can set it up to not show political adds. Well it don’t work lol. I laugh at most of the adds. I look at their voting past and stand on the issues. Not what the tv adds or the news says there stances, but actual look at whether they did in the past. This election scares me and then yours next. We could be in trouble lol

Great video and perspective! As a first timer to Sturgis I have a bit of a different perspective. We loved the riding and it’s definitely second to none. We stayed in a hotel in Rapid City which was quiet and clean (we’re not campers). Overall prices were unreasonably high but it’s a big rally so expected. We found the crowds everywhere a little overwhelming as well as the riding: too many inexperienced riders on big bikes. We also found the political element a little too much. Everyone wanted to talk politics which isn’t my thing: it’s a bike rally so let’s talk bikes 🙂
Yes. You make a great point. We have been there many times and the group of friends we meet there every year, we all agree … we don’t talk about politics and a couple other topics (being Canadian LOL ) Cheers
Rode to Sturgis this year… first time there! Loved the scenery and rides but found the crowds a little overwhelming 😮
Awesome. ! The Black Hills are so great to ride around !!! Hope you had a great time … and this year was light compared to some others. The worst we had seen it was 2015, 75th anniversary- was so crowded we stopped riding by Monday and just stayed at camp. Too much.

also, I got there around noon and left around 1:30pm. I came in via hw 6 and there were a lot of people but not as many as I was expecting.. once I got in it was nuts lol

I spent 46 years trucking...rule number one was absolutely nothing east of Winnipeg. Anywhere south...north or west but after that revert back to rule number one.
Haha. Understandable !! Wasn’t easy riding in Ontario, lots of two lane, and furthest east I was the more crowded it got !!!! I really think I could have been a trucker, I love riding/ driving and booking the miles don’t bother me. But on the other hand, maybe mixing a hobby and a job might not be the best recipe. 🤷♂️ Cheers

I just drove from Marathon Ont to Winnipeg and was bagged after that 1000 km drive in 1 day. I couldn’t imagine doing it 4 days straight and on a bike!

True. South to go west would have been shorter also but I wanted to stay in Canada and save on the currency exchange rate.

Yes, cruise control sure helped on the prairies once I hit 4 lane highways and the new Mustang seat I bought this year was amazing. Sure made those 12-14 ride days soooo much nicer !! No didn’t have to replace tires. Have been on the same ones for 31,000 kms now. Will need a new set next spring though. Thanks for watching and for reaching out with your questions !!! Cheers

Well! If I could choose, I would choose to ride! I used to love to fly until I started riding more... When I was younger and working, time was more limited but now that I'm retired and have the time to ride well by golly that's what I want to do. I think it's great that you rode across and I think it's wonderful that Lucinda could join you and you guys had a great time! 💜🤗

This event over the years has been ruined by town council the OPP. At one time. This was a great event now you can’t even park bikes on Main Street because they’re making so much money off the vendors.
