    Do you just reapply it after 8-10 weeks? Or is that going to overfertilise? I have a tiftuf lawn.

      Hi Glen, we would recommend then moving to a more sustainable approach with he use of a slow release fertiliser and dedicated pre-emergent such as Barricade, Spartan or Onset. Terralift TX10 is a low input fertiliser that is perfect for TifTuf.

      Hi Jason, you will be best to treat the weeds first, apply Bow and Arrow and allow uptake to get control , you could then look at topdressing a week later.

    Hi guys thank you for sharing lawn passion. Im just getting into it and have approx 100-150m2 box sir Walter buffalo infested with grubs and damage, bare patches, from house/garden hardscape renos as well as the grub activity. I live in Sydney and have missed this past spring season (had to be away o/s) and wanted to know what I could use in Autumn /Winter. Do I use my Acelepryn or is there something else I can use? Also I find that I have big fat grubs in my flower gardens and pots with ornamentals can I use accelepryn in these areas? Again thank you for sharing knowledge and love of lawns.

    i built a new house last year and moved in November with new lawns, I have been completely attacked ever since by both black beetles and army worms. Ive gone through about 12 bottles of Richo Grub spray from bunnings and still fighting! I just purchased this product in the pellets. I have Kikuyu lawn that's super thick and tall(not sure why, cant get it to go down) should i mow first then apply it so the pellets go in deep? I have the Scotts® EasyGreen Broadcast Fertiliser Spreader and cant figure out what setting to use? front lawn is 158 sqm and back 69 sqm. Thanks oh these moths are destroying the outside of my house. Everyday cleaning the things they lay on the eaves gutters etc

    • @lawnprideaustralia2159
      @lawnprideaustralia2159 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mozzos, the product you are currently using is only a quick fix and requires to be used frequently to keep chewing pests at bay, the only product to use is Acelepryn as this will provide season long control , you will be best to mow first then apply at 1.5kg per 100sqm, we are unsure as to the correct gate to use on your spreader at this point as we haven't tested the product through this spreader. Simply add the required amount to your spreader to suit the area and using a low gate do multiple passes in different directions to get an even coverage. Removing the egg sacks from the side of the house is ongoing unfortunately as that is just a part of nature and there is nothing we can spray/apply to prevent them.

The product can then be left on the leaf to dry and or watered in.

    I have 2 questions if you would permit your valuable time. In FNQ I started with buffalo which appears to be Sir Walter. Other grass breeds have moved in and are taking over, as well as weeds. In some places the other grasses have widdled the Sir Walter down to separated 10-20cm diameter regions. Is there some way I can kill all the other grasses so that the buffalo will spread out again or should I dig all that up and lay new buffalo? The other question is should I spray chemicals when the grass is long or short? I'm a bit overdue for a mow now. I have with me 1) a concentrated Bromoxlyn and MCPA and 2) Roundup with MCPA, Fluroxypyr and dicamba. They both say buffalo friendly and a weird thing I noticed is that another product with exactly the same chemicals as the roundup said not suitable for buffalo lawns! I said exact chemicals but the MCPA is present as a differennt salt compound. That was just my added observation, probably irrelevant. I have been pulling out many many weeds one by one out of the remaining pure buffalo dominant areas and spraying those the whole lawn. I'm winning the war of the weeds, but losing the war of the other grasses. One of the grasses (or perhaps it's a weed) is a definite teel colour and leading the race.

      Hi, Due to your primary variety being Buffalo grass you can be limited as to what herbicides you use as to not damage the Buffalo , we would suggest whilst the grass is longer apply Bromoxynil MCPA as any mature broadleaf weeds will be easily controlled due to the larger surface area of the plant to can apply the product to. This will in turn leave the grass weeds and in your situation and due to herbicide tolerances in Buffalo you will be best to either dab the crown of the plant with Glyphosate to minimise damage to the surrounding Buffalo and or hand weed. An application of Oxafert would be beneficial as this product will supply nutrients to the Buffalo to aid recovery as well as providing you with a pre-emergent barrier that will prevent further weed seed germination whilst you tackle the hardier grass weeds from your plot.

    Impressed with the co-host. Helpful video. Wasn't aware you could pigment the lawn, or in my case the bindy patch.

    Should I be using one of the Turfmax fertilisers as well as the Oxafert ?

      There is no need to double up on fertiliser mate, Tif actually likes a low input diet in terms of N, I would soon rather see you move to Maintain or TX10 fertiliser and dedicated pre-emergent like Spartan. These two products in my opinion are better bang for buck, and will deliver even better results than Oxafert.

      Many thanks. I will probably change to the products that you mentioned. I really appreciate the advice.

    Hi Rusty, I am a contractor looking after a Tiftuf lawn. I use Oxafert every 10-12 weeks and 'Green Xtra' every few weeks and Seasol every few weeks. and Acelaprin GR once a year. Does this sound like a good program ? Are there any other products that might help to improve my program ? Thanks for all the good tips and advice.

      Hi Mate, a program can be as simple or as involved as you want really as it does come down to time, budget and goals. There is nothing wrong at all with what you have mentioned above as the Tif will be getting nutrition, protected against chewing pests and has a pre-emergent barrier in place, there are more products you can use to support overall health which we mention in our free program lawnpride.com.au/pages/santa-ana-tiftuf-lawn-care-program this covers everything mate all the products you need and timing of there applications. This program looks busy but it is quite easy to follow.

    Thanks for the video. What setting do you have your internal PSI regulator on? Or recommend. I think I have mine on 2 which is 30 PSI, but I'm still using about 8 litres per 100m², which I feel is a bit high.

    Just got some, but the label says to use 30ml per 5 to 10 litres of water ? So which is it. Am I missing something because one sounds like half the strength of the other. Don't want to waste my time with the wrong strength.

      Hi, you will get very effective results using the rate 30mL to 5ltrs.
