HEALTHY Bird Chop Recipe | Nutrition For Cockatiels & Parrots
Nutritional Birdy Chop Recipe:
1x Cup of Quinoa
1x Cup of Corn
1x Cup of Walnuts
1x Broccoli
3x Chili
1x Zucchini
2x Carrot
2x Beetroot
1x Handful of Tuscan Kale
• This recipe is a blend of colors, flavors and packed full of vitamins & antioxidants.
• We use this recipe for our 4x Cockatiels who absolutely love it, and wanted to share with you all.
• Please note we mix up our recipe's often to ensure our birds are getting a variety of different nutrients, as it is important to add in different fats and carbohydrates.
• We also supplement this with a seed mix sparingly to add in more fats and carbohydrates.
• The beetroot may turn your birds poo red or pink - this is completely normal when digesting beetroot due to pigment Betanin inside Beetroots. This phenomenon is known as beeturia and is harmless.
*This is our way of maintaining our 'Tiels health, we are not licensed professionals, always contact your local Avian Veterinarian for professional & qualified advice for the health & safety of your birds.

QUESTION-What are the birds eating at 2:26:17? They obviously love it and it looks really healthy!
That was a day I ran out of chop - this was a quick put together Spinach, raspberries, chia seeds, walnuts and a sprouted seed mix. We have days where they are fed whatever we have haha :)

I've switched over from another video on cockatiels singing, etc. The other bird was distressed, calling out by itself for up to an hour and probablymore! It was aware of the camera, but nobody was there. My bird, my wife, and I became concerned with a little sympathy and almost depressed for the bird, so we had to change over. We are so head we did. Your bunch are so well catered for, and so happy. We are in Perth, Australia, West Coast! The man singing needs to stay in tune and on key, though 😂

Our own birdy chop recipe's :) We make Birdy Chop every few days - our 'tiels were eating in the video: Parsley, Spinach, hemp seeds, green capsicum, snow peas, a very small amount of pasta (as a treat - not ongoing) and sprouted seeds.

Hello do you keep all 4 tiels in that one cage? I already got 2 tiels and that same flight cage, was planning to get another 2 so do I need another cage for them? My tiels free roam all day except when sleeping.
We do - most of the time our birds are out too - its a HUGE cage so they are happy with toys for a few hours if we are out and it is unsafe.

What are they eating?
Parrot owners call it “chop” it is essentially small chopped vegetables and fruit sometimes cooked grains, such as barley or rice, sprouted seeds. The smaller parrot species seem to like it like that, also gives the chance to offer a larger variety at once. You can change the ingredients to what you have on hand or what’s seasonal.

I have 2 parakeets with blue whatever they're called. 1 just chirps and the other squawks loudly. I was told the one that squawks was female. Is this normal and could it be a female even though blue nose?
