That’s was my dream to ride the Cape Epic 10 years ago. I thought I was too old to ride, but seeing many riders who look like they are in their 60’s gives me hope of one day participating in this epic race. If I had a chance to ride it though I’d opt for loose riding shorts with the Lycra underneath for support. The Lycra riding shorts alone don’t provide enough protection on falls.

Thank you for this very inspirational work Wouter. I watched every stage of the Epic here in Australia from the comfort of my lounge chair. The heart and soul of an event like the Cape Epic is the amateur riders, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes. I could only dream of entering this event. I love mountain biking and ride my bike as often as I can. Thank you for this fantastic work. You should be proud of this mate.

It is the most beautiful marathon until the participants come along and trash it. Is there an award on constantia neck for the biggest slob or something?! You would think a person running a beautiful route would be inclined to appreciate that route but you would be wrong. Good luck to the clean up teams. Theyre going to need it. Watching this video really got me to tears,I can’t believe that I’m going to do my first Two Ocean Marathon,I’m excited,anxious it’s really a bucket list thing that I’m going to tick off..I have an incredible support system,from my Coaches at Fitcity 🇳🇦,the whole team,we celebrate each other’s PB.Two Oceans 2024 here we come 🇳🇦
