Mike really undervalues SUNDAY. He is the real hero of this movie. There was even an alternate ending where Sunday dives into a submerged car and dies in an effort to save the diver but it was cut. Without Sunday, none of Brossier's accomplishments would have been realized. Brossier and Sunday were really just 2 sides of the same coin. Poor Southern whites and poor Southern blacks were much more alike than different and nearly the same in living conditions of the time. It didn't surprise me that Sunday was really Brossier's most important ally in the end. In the military this is an example of "steel sharpens steel".

Painfully and criminally underrated movie. Brilliantly done all around. Glad someone with common sense finally reacted to this gem.👍🏻

Pretty much every folk custom in this film (except the sacrifice) is still practiced all around the UK today, especially England. May Day celebrations, Morris dancing, rapper dancing, maypole dancing, harvest festivals, fire leaping, effigy burning etc are actually having a resurgence in popularity. Most people watching this in England when it was released would of danced around the maypole as kids.

Roger Linus DID NOT raise a monster. Ben Linus was never a monster. He WAS NOT responsible for the Dharma Purge. After "Dead Is Dead", you still can't figure out who was responsible? And the actions of the Dharma Initiative should have alerted you to the reason why the Purge was ordered in the first place. And the idea that the island erased Ben's innocence is too ludicrous to believe. EVERYONE loses his or her innocence. It's just a matter of time and it happens slowly, over many years. Does anyone who watch this show actually exercise their brains?

What version of the film are you watching? - I have seen the cinematic version (over cut & vague), the directors cut (extended & better) but have never seen the scene where Willow is explaining to Howie that she was inviting him in with her seduction & he explains again that he is a Christian virgin. Anyone know which version this is?

Yesss! - best reaction to my favourite film ever! You watched the right version & got it right from the start! Yes they gave him chance to escape if he went against his god & succumbed to Willow’s seduction he would no longer be a virgin & have no value as a sacrifice - you got that! - Child virgins are 2 a-penny but adult virgins are special. Also the girl showing him the tethered beetle in the desk was showing him what was happening to him. More of a psychological thriller than a horror (the ending could be classed as horror) The rites & ceremonies are based on real British pagan traditions. Don’t bother with the US remake with Nicholas Cage. It’s got nothing to do with this movie (just uses the title to attract the fans of this cult classic) & is a pile of shite!

The stuff taught in their school is nowhere near as damaging as the gender stuff taught in schools today - & that’s in real life!

They may have been young, but damn! They we're men. Real fvckin men. As someone who has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, I respect such men who are willing to fight fires to protect people and their homes. 😢

Im definitely pretty late to comment this. but the reason that the mustache grooming is so important is because, if the mustache is too long, or goes past the corners of your mouth, they can break the seal on your gas mask. Needless to say, a non-functional gas mask can be pretty bad

Hey Mike I really enjoy your reactions. You should check out heaven and Earth with Tommy Lee Jones. It's another movie about the Vietnam war. But it's told from a young Vietnamese woman's point of view and what she went through. Great great movie.

This movie is a great Sci-fi / western mashup with a stacked cast. I've watched it a few times. Not sure why it's not more popular but thanks for the reaction.

You do remember that Keamy and his men were the bad guys, right? And that Widmore had sent them to the island for selfish reasons. Why did Sun knock out Ben? What a stupid thing to do. And in doing so, she had inadvertently set up an unpleasant event in a future episode. What do mean by Kate and Sawyer's feelings for each other? Kate has never been in love with Sawyer. All she's doing is contemplating how she is going to use Sawyer, since she's currently angry at Jack. And I suspect Sawyer's feelings for Kate has changed.

Bill was looking down because he finally found his shadow again. The indians kept telling him that he lost his shadow. I also loved the foreshadowing when Frank's crew rode in and we got a glimpse at the graves they rode past before the chaos.

I like your comment about reason and logic beating out anger and hate. A lot of people “reason” based on how they think the world is, or feel it ought to be, not on the way it is. It can be tedious, unpleasant, and confusing to sort through contradictory evidence rather than reinforce one’s worldview, but to me, the consequences are too great not to. Especially in a case like this, but even in smaller situations. For example, internet gives us a voice. We all say stuff we don’t mean and can’t fact check. But sometimes, people need to check themselves before jumping onto some hate train just because it gives an adrenaline boost and makes “emotional” sense.

As with mamy of Wes' films the more times you watch it the more it means ☮️

Yes it is the most perfectly scored show 100%. The music you're tearing up at is the Charlie and Claire theme, it's so sweet and innocent and this rendition is its best version. And Michael G being the genius that he is brings it back one last time when you come to the series finale and they reunite in the sideways - listen out for it and you'll hear it there too. It makes their reunion in the end all the more perfect.

Thanks for posting. People who don't have the DVD's miss out on most of the fun and experience. You Tube has a lot of these.
