Unusual USA Made Surplus Haul
I found these USA made Schrade knife surplus blades on the Chicago Knife Works website. When Schrade shut down their operations in New York Chicago Knife Works came in and bought the excess stock from the manufacturing floor. These will be a benefit in knife repairs and customization.

I have one of these hatchets and i was wondering what to do with that pry bar end. I looked at it to see if it was removable But nope.
Never had that with my Hilti…🤪 Love the battery though
I'm right there with you brother
Just ordered one with my Ocoins and plan on making a kydex sheath for the pry bar! Great video!
Pretty good score. There were a lot of pieces there......Heavy box
I just bought these yesterday. I fell for it too. I don't totally care that they were made in Taiwan, but I wish they would have distinguished that, and I think $38 (the current price) is ridiculous. $40+ with a sheath is what it should be if they were made in Germany like how their cheap set is $20. Next time I'm going with Japanese or American. These will probably do really well for HVAC though. Hopefully they work on hoses and 460v power line.
Great kit. Very well thought out. Subscribed.
I dont have the olight, but i do have 2 of the hd01s. Because they are pretty great, there are no issues whatsoever in mine, they meet the majority of my edc needs ... and i got both wurkkos HD01s for less than 1 olight. I need that IF23, btw.
I was at HF yesterday and was looking at it. There were 3 available. I was still thinking if I was getting one. Then a guy came in and got one. Decided to get one too before HF runs out of it.
Very practical budget micro edc kit. Thank for sharing. To me, I will add duct tape wrapped around the lighter. A micro fiber cloth and a small screwdriver for my glasses!
This is by far the best copy made of a Leatherman, even the made real improves 😅
Several companies also make short or stubby spade bits. Good idea.
New sub right here

Phil that is actually a filter, you’re missing the filter part that goes inside the funnel. I have one that’s complete with the filter.
Isn’t this the cart Austin Powers drove?
Hoto
That is so Awesome! For some reason I instantly though of Austin Powers. LOL.. I don't know why?
Looks like a fun project. Most of the parts are probably available still.
That is cool, and it looks to be in excellent shape. Good find.
It’s a Charge clone not a Wave clone.
Part of the reason I still have my ancient Leatherman Super tool 200 is because it has an adapter with it that accepts any hex bit.
Forgot u pulling a trailer?

Lovely tool haul , love that Stanley hammer
Did that going through Colorado one morning the best morning of my life💯🐻
Great find for a great price! I think the thing at the end would hold a flag of some sort and you could clamp it onto a vehicle. Like maybe it just held a red flag to attach to the end of a long thing being hauled in a truck or trailer???
Wow that is in interesting looking plier! I have never seen one like that before either! Great find! Maybe someday I will make it to Jacktown.
Fresnel lens card, paper clip & duct tape. ...
I could cut a lens down to the oval shape of the kit. Paperclip is a good one. Duct tape is too fat. I managed to get some electrical tape in there. Thanks.
The adjustable pliers are very similar to Facom brand pliers made in France.
It's probably been dropped before and was cracked when you started. It's happened to me before.
I love buying thos loaded 20ish dollar mystery boxes. My kind of gambling and always so much fun going through.
I've got a few that are kaput if you want parts. I think I now have 5 or 6 and only 2 work. I just got another at Zagray come to think of it. That one works but doesn't look pretty. The dead ones have cracks in the case. If you ever take one apart watch a YT video or 2. The clutch/transmission assembly is a bit tricky to deal with. I got on the Bauer band wagon recently. HF had one of those deals that I decided not to pass on. Buy a hammer drill/driver kit (drill charger and bag) for $69 and get a 1-amp hour battery for "free". They also had the same drill on clearance for $29 but one generation older. Funny thing was the sale was over but they forgot to take down the sign but they gave it to me for the sale price.
Thanks George. The model that broke is the DC720. Is that model one of the broken ones you have?
@@MrPhil1969 no unfortunately. The ones I have are hammer drill/drivers. I'm not sure if the parts are interchangeable.
That Amazon battery was too much 😂😂😂
That Amazon battery kept these 18 volt tools from going in the trash. Went red at work and had no real use for yellow except around the house.
Great find!
Classic metal fatigue. 😃👍
$10 well spent. Nice haul
Notice the tool box is metal? No big plastic tool boxes until 1990s??
Looks like someone's tool box from 1970.
You are correct about the drill adapter. It attaches to a drill and the ball bearings are designed to hold a screw onto the bit as you drill it in. The one I have has different bits that can be swapped out for phillips and straight slot screws.
Thanks for the info
Perfect example of why you should use the right tools for the right job.
I thought you were supposed to use drills to drill holes 😄
Chinesium- You just can’t trust it. 😃👍
Thats quite a deal for ten bucks! The tool box itself is worth it to me. Sorry I missed the meet up. I was caught up shopping in the back.
supposed to put screws in back of magazine sales 1970s my dad had one crap fitted to electric drill lol john uk
Lovely little toolbox, Great haul 🛠👍😊
I'm not personally a fan of the Leatherman style bits myself. The byberry clone has a better bit option imo then this gordon. The byberry also has a better diamond/file also but of course still not no Leatherman but definitely better then this Gordon imo.
I am partial to my Daicamping DL30 which is the Bibury BLT-PRO-B
Good stuff Phil!! Doesn't cost much to have alotta fun!!☻
It does fit in the case with the pocket clip well you just have to put the multi tool in the case with the pocket clip facing back into the case and thank you for the video and the Gordon Leatherman wave is a great tool I purchased one yesterday 😊.
I had the silica gel packet in there keeping it from going all the way in. It fits now. Thanks.
Nice, Phil. The slip joint pliers are probably Vlchek. Yesterday I found the 22" version of this box but no tools in it for... $10. It's in pretty good shape and I had to read the price tag 3 times to be sure. There is an indoor flea market in East Durham I saw on the way to Howe Caverns so I had to stop on the way home and at a couple other yard sales where I got an almost new Porter Cable brad nailer for $10 too! Several other items at both and a good haul from an estate sale the day before made my weekend. Can't wait for you to show everyone your other Jacktown finds. George
This afternoon on break at work I picked through some of the rustyness I keep there to clean up and low and behold the SAME slip joint pliers! I probably have more in the hoard but I'm going to go look...lol
