The Blackest Day is my favorite song on honeymoon album 😭
@KnowledgeLand-z4x I’M SORRY! 🙈 Still not a bad song though - she doesn’t have one!! 👌
Awesome advice!❤
@@LadyTidePod Thanks so much! I’m glad you were able to take something from the video ♥️
Great episode Ellie
Thanks for watching! 🤩
Sadly, yes, there really are people who believe the moon landing was faked. 🤦♂️ Statistically, it’s mostly your generation. 😜 Over 90% of people who were alive in 1969 firmly believe the moon landing was real; it’s younger people who doubt it in alarmingly large percentages. Rather than get into the weeds of things like angles of shadows and crosshairs on photos, I personally find it much more fruitful to at least start with a “minimal facts” approach if I’m asked why I believe the moon landing did happen: 1) In 1969, there were about a half dozen nations with the technology and equipment to track Apollo 11 by radar all the way to the moon and back; and they all did. Including the (then) Soviet Union. So if you think it was faked (not YOU, Ellie-just a generic anyone “you” 😊), you have to believe that our rivals in the space race knew it was faked and were in on helping us BEAT them in the space race and give them a very public humiliation. Seems a tad less than likely. As a side note to this point, some have suggested, the Soviets were hemorrhaging money on the space race, with their smaller economy than ours, and were looking for any excuse to to get out of the space race, so they were happy to let us fake landing on the moon to achieve that. But the logic just isn’t there: If the Soviets knew we were faking it, all they’d have to do is expose us, give the US the big humiliating black eye, and then they could still say, “A moon landing is impossible” and they could STILL get out of spending more money AND get the win over us all in one go. 2) There are about 16 or 18 nations (can’t remember exactly) nowadays that have space programs that actively fly missions. One thing they all tend to do is moon mapping missions. Now, many people will say “just point Hubble or James Webb at the moon and zoom in on the Apollo landing sites if they’re real”; but those people have no concept of camera resolution (although they could easily gain that knowledge with minimal research, on the myriad of photography information websites or websites maintained by various camera manufacturers, almost all of which contain calculators to help you figure out a particular camera’s resolution given distance from the subject). The ONLY things that can resolve a small enough area to actually be able to pick up something the size of the Apollo landing sites are very high-resolution cameras on moon-mapping satellites, which can orbit VERY close to the moon’s surface because there’s no atmosphere to disrupt their orbit. And these missions have done just that. As just a few examples, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), South Korea’s Danuri lunar probe, Japan’s Selene, and China’s Chang’e 2 all captured some images of Apollo landing sites. So if you’re still insisting that the moon landings were faked, you NOW have to believe about 16 or so nations are in on the scam with the US. And note, that would have to include arch rival CHINA, for crying out loud, who’d LOVE to humiliate the US. Notice how the conspiracy is getting VERY wide? It’s beginning to be like the whole world is in on it, just to fool…you. One wonders what they gain from such a Herculean effort at fakery. And this should, indeed, be a red flag to anyone: If your conspiracy theory just has to get larger and larger and larger the more you know, it’s probably a signal your logic is lacking. 3) Armstrong and Aldrin left reflectors on the moon, carefully placed by them, by hand, to be aimed back at earth. This allows any facility with the proper laser equipment to bounce laser beams off these reflectors and get a very precise measurement of the moon’s distance from earth. Observatories and scientific facilities from virtually every nation do this, all the time. So NOW we’re getting to literally almost the whole world having to be in on the scam, again, just to fool…you. 4) This last one was pointed out by an astrophysicist I saw in a TH-cam video; and I found his logic sound, so I added it as a fourth point in my “minimal facts” approach. He pointed out that, in 1969, a high percentage of NASA employees-including Buzz Aldrin, who had the first Communion on the moon-were devout Christians. And as unlikely as it is anyway that so large an organization as NASA could’ve kept the secret of a faked moon landing without anyone ever blabbing, it’s even more unlikely that none of these Christians, who believe lying is a sin that God will hold them accountable for, would-not even one of them-have an attack of conscience over living a lie all those years.
Wow, thank you for providing such detailed facts to further prove that the moon landing did in fact take place. Very interesting stuff, especially the point about how many NASA employees were Christian. I also didn’t know about Buzz Aldrin holding a communion on the moon! Thanks for watching 😊
😂literally
Well explained. I have been on TH-cam for a long time and I have never come across a hoaxer who can show proof that the 6 moon landings did not happen. Often they are not the smartest people, recently someone said that it must have been made by A.I.
I didn’t know this! This goes to show that theorists will use new scientific developments to make their theories sound more believable rather than focusing on the science that proves these landings actually happened. Thanks for watching! ✌🏽
2001 was my favorite movie for a long time. Now it's The Great Dictator. It's a bit surreal. You might not really get what's going on without reading the book. But it's still amazing. Every frame is a work of art. The special effects, in my opinion, are even more realistic looking than the ones today. And when you see how they did what they did, it becomes even more amazing. This was q1969. They didn't have liquid crystal so all the screens you see in that movie are projected by a movie projectors backwards, onto the inside making a forward image. In short, you have to see that movie. One of the subtle things I liked was Kubrick's use of silence. You NEVER hear silence in films today. But when they cut to the external shots in space and the whole soundtrack just stops, it's unnerving. That to me really embodies the emptiness of the vacuum of space. No explosions or "pew pew" sounds like in Star Wars. Just utter silence that's juxtaposed to to all the bleeping and blooping inside the pod. You'll see. And Ligeti's surreal soundtrack was chilling. If you have questions let me know. It takes a little explanation. Kubrick would never just exposition things into making sense. The viewer is tasked with much of that. Perhaps a bit too much.
It's not just that. With no air there's no friction so the flag does kind of wave. And the gravity amplifies the effect. But if you want to know the one thing that at least to me, debunks the lunar conspiracy theories more than anything, go look at Wikipedia's list of lunar missions. Just scroll through them and pay particular attention the tab marked "outcome". Apparently, both the US and the Soviets were downright determined to humiliate themselves.
❤Who knows, do it and show how!!! I liked this!! Show!!!
Thank you for watching! I’m kicking myself for not getting more footage.. But we used MDF strips and measured them up. Then I painted over the wall & boards with dark green paint, then painted the top half with yellow paint. So simple! 🙌🏼
Hi Ellie...All three stories were very good...i can tell you a true life ghost story that occurred 40 years ago.... There was a family who used to live in a 1970s semi detached house in the South of England, everything seemed normal until one day an apparition appeared in the Living room, this was not an apparition of someone from the Victorian or Edwardian era but it was a teenager dressed in 1970s clothes in a wheelchair. This particular family who lived in the house did some research, yes their was a family who lived in that particular house whose son was in a wheelchair due to a childhood accident. The Son had died by the late seventies and the family moved away....When i first heard that true life story it was back in the 1980s and what struck me is that we associate ghosts with men and women dressed in clothes from centuries ago and not with ghosts who came from the 1970s that is more resent which made the story quite interesting....it is good to hear different ghost stories.
Such a good point! Ghosts can come from any time period, we just often fixate on spirits from a long time ago. Thanks for sharing that spooky true experience 👻
@@ellielavender9247 Your welcome Ellie, just a very brief true story several years ago a woman opened a shop in my town where she wanted to sell soft toys. so at the end of the day they where put back on the shelves. The following day she opened up the shop and in the middle of the floor a small group of the soft toys where sat in a circle! Not long afterwards she closed the shop permanently...how strange is that?
This is so good you have a great vibe
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 🙌🏼
In Bristol? For god‘s sake what’s next? What I ate in a North Korean prison camp? Get outta here
Hi Ellie, thank you for sharing your own paranormal experiences and your families experiences it was interesting to hear, I have been a believer in the paranormal since i was eleven years old when i had my first experience of seeing a apparition. In occurred whilst visiting a stately home that had a stable block, the stable block had been converted into a Antique Centre that was on two floors. My parents where on the ground floor and i went and explored on the first floor. Halfway along the corridor my attention was suddenly drawn to a figure who was over 6 feet tall, middle aged smartly dressed in a Victorian suit standing at the end of the corridor, he had no facial expressions except he was staring at something behind my shoulder. He then raised his arm and pointed at something behind me, during this time he was silent, no words were spoken. I looked behind me and then back at him...when i turned to see him again....he had vanished, no trace of him. This whole experience lasted about a minute. To this day i reflect upon that one summer afternoon and i still feel i saw a ghost of a Victorian gentleman probably a former owner of the house....was i scared not really just curious!....i have had other unexplained experiences from the last ten years but i will share my Dad's experience that happened in 1995...My Dad was very close to his Uncle, and about a month after he had died. My Dad went to visit his Auntie in her bungalow and the living room was very large and at the end of the living room was a former pub settle (a wooden high backed seat) on this afternoon my Dad's attention was drawn to this settle and looking from behind this pierce of wooden furniture was my Dad's Uncle as a boy of no more than eight years old, my Dad knew it was his Uncle instantly although my Dad has never seen any childhood photos of his Uncle, he just recognized the facial features. It was like his Uncle was playing peek a boo one minute he was there next he would reappear until he just vanished. One thing is interesting is that the bungalow was not old as it was originally built in the mid 1970s. but somehow my Uncle left an imprint on that property. I apologize as its a very long message but i thought you might find it interesting.
Wow, thanks for sharing those experiences! It’s interesting that they were both very different to each other, one being a Victorian spirit and the other, a spirit of a family member. It goes to show that there must be something after death and that this has been happening forever! 👻
@@ellielavender9247 Your very welcome Ellie, i agree there must be something after death that scientifically we cannot explain, in recent years i have experienced poltergeist activity in charity shop in town. It is fascinating that somewhere in the world someone will now be experiencing some kind of paranormal experience.

Hi Ellie, great video i was particularly interested in the music elements, i can remember CD's when new releases were released from Woolworths it would cost you £15.99 and that was around 1990 which was a lot of money as i was still at School. I am one of those people who is interested in the resurface of the Vinyl Lp market as you rightly mentioned the artwork on the new releases are creative, imaginative and original. I hope you have a good rest of the weekend.

That was a great reaction..knew there would be tears 💖💖 Looking forward to part two...and so will you :):)
Taylor's voice in the album is so so so good...The softness..The Breathiness ( if that's a word :) ) The pain...The hope..The despair....How Taylor just makes these emotions come to life in a song...and this is even before we get on to the lyrics...Where in the world does Taylor get the time to come up with outstanding lyrics and put them into songs..Time and time again...Then the production...each song sounds amazing...Taylor is just the best there is for me a country mile in front of anyone else...and for Spotify and all other steaming platforms...The only person Taylor beats is Taylor....Thank you for your reaction...Your smile in the first second of the video..showed me your thoughts
i love it
Glad you loved it too! ☺️
Lovely video, I really enjoyed the format and am happy to see you posting again! As a fellow HSP I resonated with a lot of what you said. Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on highly sensitive people and music? I've always found it so odd that tiny noises like chewing and computer mouse clicking drive me insane and yet I LOVE going to the loudest concerts imaginable. I wonder if HSP's are drawn more strongly to music, almost as a way to drown out the intense sensory input that we get from our environment.
Completely agree with this! As an HSP I connect with particular types of music more in terms of my emotional response than other people would. I actually make an effort to listen to music that makes me feel this way, as I think it’s a comfort to be able to feel raw emotions. On your other point, I also hate certain sounds such as a tap dripping or clock ticking, especially if those sounds are there when I’m trying to sleep. 😩
Hi Ellie! This summer has been ROUGH on my emotions; a bunch of family issues took hold where I've been wondering if I've just been a "sensitive guy" for the sake of things. I'm glad to relate to someone who's been not exactly alright as of late, thank goodness! Thank you for the video!! :)
Hey Travis! I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a difficult summer and I hope everything works itself out real soon. Don’t let anyone make you feel that you’re “too sensitive” because there’s no such thing. Every single person on this planet holds different qualities and tolerances for dealing with things. Our ‘kind’ also has the ability to connect with others on a different level, so always remember that ☺️
Thanks Ellie really great to have you back...missed your video's...Regarding HSP I do really believe I am in some instances..but not all...I don't like confrontation..I guess I would stick up more for a friend or a family member more than I would for myself..I don't know why I just would always been the way...I am amazingly sensitive when it comes to animals...I love them with all my heart..the joy I get from them is amazing...But the hurt I get when I see or even just hear about something bad happening to one..breaks my heart...I can't watch any animal video's just in case anything happens to them..I used to watch a rescue video and a few years ago they rescued this cat...but it didn't survive...I didn't know this cat personally..but my heart thought it did and I couldn't stop thinking about this cat for about 2 weeks..I didn't want to go to sleep in case I had dreams about it dying..I cried all day long just thinking about it...jeepers I am crying now just remembering it..I only saw it on the program for 2 days but I loved it so much..I don't know if that is HRP or just being silly...To me it's me and if it means I don't watch animal video's anymore I won't...I've has so many dreams about winning millions of £££££ and used it to save all animals...I even dreamt that I convert 4 buses one each for England Ireland Scotland & Wales into mobile vets that toured the country helping people who couldn't afford vet bills...In my head I had 2 vets and 3 nurses on each bus all funded by the interest I got on the stack of cash I had..so all treatment was free...Have you any idea how unhappy I was when I woke up the next morning to find it wasn't true...I have this dream of saving all animals who need help all the time...Even driving round in a van with lots of timber and when I see a horse in a boggy field...I build it a stable so it can be safe...I never kill a fly or a spider I just get them to go outside...I feed the pigeons where I live...One day one of the neighbours told me to stop doing it as they were vermin...and I so felt the need to protect them...I asked the neighbour if they eat...they said of course...so I asked how they got their food...so they said they buy it from the shop...So I asked do you feel privileged that you were born a human so you are able to do that kind of thing..they never answered...So I said what if you had been born a pigeon..and the pigeon had been born a human...would you like them to treat you like you suggest...no reply...but I felt the need to stand up for the pigeon...sorry about this going on...I do have other things that I feel I am very sensitive to also a big one is Taylor Swift haters who have never even met her...But If I started on that I would be here just a long as the animals...Any way thaks for returning...take care stay safe
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I feel the exact same way about animals. They are only ever trying to survive and people that kills spiders and don’t feed pigeons, I just can’t understand. I feel the same way with people who don’t like rats. They’re just living creatures trying to get by. I definitely agree with you on Taylor haters also! Thanks for the support 🤟🏼
Glad you’re back and loved the vid, found you from the Wolf Alice vid! ☺️
Glad to have you here! Thank you for the support 🙌🏼
I must admit, I’ve never heard the term HSP before but since I identify with a lot of what you said (especially the being overwhelmed thing) I guess I must be an HSP as well! Nice to see you back btw 😊
I don't think a lot of people have! I'd highly recommend Elaine's book - there's so many aspects to the trait and it'll teach you so much about yourself that you may not have been aware of 🙌🏽
I remember when I first heard Play The Greatest Hits it didn't feel right in the album. I went to see the band at the start of this year and seeing the song played live it all just clicked. Such an awesome band, I think this is one of their best made albums yet.
I stumbled upon your channel because of a Wolf Alice review, but I'm glad you're covering this topic, which is rare in a YT channel. Just wanted to say that this feeling of being inadequate is really an underlying consequence of capitalism, which you've touched upon and hit the nail on the head with its exacerbation in social media. Great video. Keep on carrying on.
1. How not to drown 2. Final Girl 3. Lullabies 4. Violent Delights 5. Asking for a friend
known chvrches ever since recover. fantastic music. this and love is dead are my favorite albums by them actually. thumbs up, great reaction. love from Germany
They are a great live band. I can hear their influences. One is Slowdive. If you get a chance, listen to Sugar For the Pill by them.
Late response, but yes, "Final Girl" song does stand out and it gives me The Smiths/Johnny Marr vibes. I really like it too. Electronic but with a noticeable mix of traditional instruments and composition.
Love your raw reactions! Just revisited this album last night and it felt like I’m listening to the album for the first time again with a few goosebumps here and there. It’s just their stuff is so easily loveable from The Bones of What You Believe to Screen Violence I could say there isn’t a single track that I dislike.
Might be weird but “Better if you dont” helped me stop gambling. Whenever i get the itch i play it. I know its about a relationship but still.
This album reminds me of a late night out in a city in the UK in a bar or pub, I love it so much!
Your review was very good. I've seen a number of them. "Play the Greatest Hit's" keeps coming up as the outlier. IMHO, I don't think it quite fits on the album and kind of breaks up the flow. I do think however, that it's a great song and is a real crowd pleaser . People went nuts when I saw them play in November. Made me glad I decided not to move into the pit (plus I'm in my 60's and don't want to get beat up that much!). The rest of the album his kept growing on me and I like it quite a bit more than Visions of a life.
I’m glad you enjoyed my reaction! I agree, this album is better than Visions of a Life. There is so much energy and character to it, not that Visions didn’t, it just brought so much more to the table!
aaaahhh love is dead was my favorite too, it's rare to hear anyone else say that!! though i think this album might be my favorite now...hard to say just yet. love is dead really spoke to who i was in 2018 but this one is hitting hard for me now.
Such a good reaction you guys are so much fun ❤️❤️ keep it going!
I’m glad you liked the reaction! 🙌🏼
I love your stuff a lot just subbed😊 LOVE this album and Delicious Things is my favorite by far
Thank you so much for subscribing! Looking to do some more albums reviews soon 🤩
Top three: How Not to Drown (Robert Smith, duh), Better If You Don't, Asking for a Friend or Violent Delights.
Something about this reaction had me feeling like I was listening to the album again for the first time, and I loved every second of it. Thank you.
Wow, thank you for that! That means so much 🙈
pls react to directors cut too!
Great review. My favourite LP of the year. How can I make it ok is simply wonderful! ❤️
I can't believe what they've achieved sonically and musically. I love seeing someone else getting this / loving it!
I kinda bounced off this album when it first came out, I liked it but didn't really get the hype. I think I just wasn't really in a mindset to vibe with it (outside of Smile and Play the Greatest Hits) at the time. I gave it another shot since I'm gonna see them next week and yeah no I finally get it. Delicious Things, Safe From Heartbreak and The Beach II have been living rent free in my head the past few days and the entire construction of the album is so captivating. I still think She and Blush are my favorite tracks by them (primarily because of how amazing a story they make together when you consider the videos) and I think I MAYBE like Visions more overall, but goddamn this album captures a very specific jumble of feelings perfectly.
Don't know if you're into a mash of grunge and punk but irregardless if you like those genres of music or not I highly recommend a band named Bully the sounds really match well with female lead vocalist. Bully has a bunch of great songs just a suggestion if you looking for new music to jam to peace just share some jams. Check them out with or without a react video
I love every single song in this album but Better if You Don't is my absolute favorite, for some reason that song made me cry as I was going through a breakup, the phrase "I mumble when I speak, but I mean it when I do" just hits home, honestly all the album is so relatable, honest and personal, for me it's their best work.
Wow, thank you for sharing such a raw feeling that you associate those lyrics with! I can say that I have been through the same recently and some of the songs do the exact same thing for me. Keep on going, you got this ❤️
Awesome reaction/review! Even though this album's production was toned-down I feel like it's very enjoyable. Btw, in the Oceanic Feeling, the dude singing was Jack Antonoff!
Thank you for watching! I think the fact the production level is lower allows this album to carry across its message of taking life a little bit slower and letting go of things that are overwhelming you. I did not know he sung in that, thanks for the tip! I will be listening out for that now 😀
@@ellielavender9247 That's another nice way to see it which I never thought about!
Um no, not Jack. It's Marlon Williams, also from New Zealand.
@@LambchopsNZ I feel betrayed... I was thinking its him the whole time. Thanks for the clarification!
Wolf Alice is one of my all time favorite bands and I don't know anyone else who knows them, so this is a treat to watch someone else react to this album 💙 The Beach is the perfect intro song, one of my favorites on the album. My top three though are Smile, Play the Greatest Hits, and Feeling Myself; but all of them are amazing 😭 I'm seeing them Oct 30th and I'm fucking beyond pumped to see them again!!
Hey! Thanks for watching and for the lovely words. I no hardly anyone who knows them too so I’m glad this made you happy! Lovely top picks there, you like the faster/darker-sounding ones I see 🤩
@@ellielavender9247 I do!! But I also love their sweet and soft ones - like We're Not the Same, Leaving You, Heavenly Creatures, Baby Ain't Made of China, all the oldies 😍
This album is great. Final girl is my fav
Yes! Best song on the album 😍
If you actually look deeper into the lyrics, you'll realise that only 2 songs are about relationships. He Said She Said is about gaslighting and Lullabies is about a bad break up (I think). The other songs deal more into mental health as well as feelings of loneliness and isolation. California is about how California was a really bad place for them when they were there for a bit making music.
Amazing insight there! Thanks for sharing and for watching 😍
