LEGO Working Sniper Rifle (Remington MSR - New Mechanism)
Inspired by Kevin's take on the MSR (th-cam.com/video/bpMewe6Ew6Y/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared) and Guenthur’s M24 (th-cam.com/video/OgdE0IhTyZM/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared)
I thought of ways to improve on both aesthetics and functions of the model; After 2 days of non-stop building, it came to life pretty well! I really like how the mag well section turned out with the use of smooth plates and ingot pieces.

The webrick parts finally came 😌 Definitely recommend using gobricks, honestly felt more sturdy and sounded more expensive than lego ones

The rubberband mechanism has some issues (inconsistent release of rubberband so sometimes the bolt stays locked back) Feeding and ejection mechanisms are very solid though, so as long as the rubberband mechanism is reliable then the gun should be working well

Too much friction and it’s just not reliable Tried the alliance rubber bands - they are only sometimes powerful enough to fully cycle I’ll try some other bands too Instead of scrapping I’ll redesign some problematic sections and see if that helps I also want to start making a shell ejecting gm6 lynx since that thing is so damn cool when you fire it I might pick up this project again next year a...

Give this man his own workshop and a whole heap of lego bricks so he can make more of these very detailed builds
So get a better spring, try to make the AK internals similar to the real internals. I see that the recoil spring is correct it just needs to be stronger to push the bolt back hard enough to lock and catch the next round

try to add a recoil spring spring on the rear guide ( rod that goes into the bolt carrier), or try to use more shorter bands, so they are tense at all times
