Great video thank you for your perspective... I have watched so many of these videos offered on TH-cam and some are so informative and others lack the detail and honesty of yours... how long would you run the 2500HD AT4X AEV?

I got 2024. This truck is a beast. I was hoping GMC will upgrade tires for 2025. Factory tires "Wrangler Territory MT" not that great in snow. Beside that this truck is the best in the market.

5th and final issue... And the number 6. lolol I could see why those things would irritate me also. Not sure why the 2500 and 3500 can't have the center console shifter.

I do love these trucks. I’m just not crazy about the interiors. Especially for how expensive they are they just seem kinda cheap/plain. I love the exterior. I’ve owned all brands of trucks but in the past 7 years I’ve owned a ford. Just purchased a 2024 limited f250 this past April and I absolutely love it. But to each their own. Thanks for sharing. There’s no tailgate warning symbol in the cluster to let you know if ur driving away with your tailgate down…. BECAUSE YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED THE TAILGATE RELEASE BUTTON RIGHT ABOVE THE STORAGE TRAY!!!!

If my budget allowed I’d a gotten your exact truck… I got the Chevy 2500HD ZR2 and like you said it’s just solid inside and out and the ride albeit an HD is almost like driving a half ton. Love the truck bruther!

My biggest grip is NO tailgate warning symbol when it’s down. When any door is open, it will show it in the cluster, not the tailgate…

I Don't know anyone willing to spend 85 grand on a pickup.. Maybe someone in the trades That needs a write off on taxes But not your average guy. I bought my wife a Mazda cx5 about a year ago. Walked in test drove it made an otd offer Several thousand less than dealer cost, they took it. The key is be ready to buy now only make an out the door offer , if you're financing have your approval in hand if they want to stall be ready to walk out... And do it. Once you know how much you're going to spend out front, be firm. It's no negotiating after your offer period.

Not only do dealerships often have special or promotional rates, many times there will be an additional rebate, or even a deeper discount on the price as well. Another thing you can do is make the deal on the third, second or last day of the month. I started with the 3rd to the last day, because if they don't make the deal that you are comfortable with, often times they will call you back on the last day just so they can make their quota for certain incentives that the manufacturers pay to the dealerships for hitting certain numbers.

There is only one way to deal on new. Call all dealers in your area ask if they will beat other dealer price. eliminate ones that won't. Go to first dealer get price. Sit at sales pwrsons desk start calling the other dealers that will negotiate. Go back and forth untill the best price is obtained. Ive done it many timea

I'm replacing with all black badges and will have the AEV badge removed and painted black (if I order the AEV option). I'd change the door handles to the body color and pull that silly sticker on the top of the tailgate, but that's me...

I'll add two items (at least for me) 1. black door handles 2. black "tape"/wrap on the top of the multi-pro tailgate. Both can easily be fixed (handles replaced with body colored ones, wrap removed) I'm ordering a 2025 sterling metallic AT4X 2500 in January (but can't decide whether or not to get the AEV option.) I do all of my own PMs-and won't likely go "crazy off road" (though I will use the off road ability some). What does preventative maintenance have to do with the AEV option? I don't want to have to remove skid plates every time I change oil and filter. (I need to get up under one to see if the extra protection will be a regular PITA for me). Can you share if this is an issue or not? BTW - I agree with every single point you raised (issues you don't like). Thanks.

I bought a 2025 Denali Ultimate HD and I hate the shift column blocking the screen. I’m in love with the truck but that one thing irks me 😂. Nice truck!

The lack of a switch for the box lights in the box is a big fail on GMs part. It was a small factor but still part of the decision to go with Ford as it wasnt offered on the 1500s at the time. I use this feature all the time when Im camping.

What website tells you how long the truck has been sitting at the dealership?

Hey TNB.. so it looks like the regen took about 11 miles? Not bad.. I've got the Banks I dash, the edge looks easier to read and looks better.

There are even more trucks on lots now than ever,at a price than most people cant or want to aford. They are going to have to bring the prices down to near where they were along time ago.. Especially being tgat the trucks today are poorly made,by the big 3 .GM IS out selling Ford ram and with good reason ,but GM quality isn't much better. So as far as im concerned they can rust on the lots ,till they are sold for what they are worth.

Its funny how TH-camrs say don't but a new truck. But get one so you don't have to.

I tried the site you suggested and this is in western Canada, it did not show a fraction of the trucks I know are listed on various dealerships in the area. But that was not the main reason I spoke up as while the theme seems to be of youtubers walking around dealers lots and claiming the sky is falling on the dealerships and they are so desperate, that certainly has not been the theme with heavy duty trucks where I am. Ok so yes GM had and may still have incentives on whatever 2024 models they may have in stock which in some instances is not much, however on 2025 models and I will zero in on the larger GM dealership in my area. So they had a certain price listed on trucks that are physically sitting on their lot which were MSRP prices, however now those listed prices are crossed out and the price went UP, yes now the price is around 3000.00 above MSRP on the Denali trim and 6000.00 tacked on to the Denali Ultimate trim HD trucks. So tell me how that shows they are desperate to deal, seems to me they are saying F U to the customer getting a deal here and better buy one before we jack the price up even more !.

The part i dont understand is what leverage do you have to negotiate if THAT particular model isnt being discounted to begin with. Its easy pickins if there is a dealer some where doing it. But you have to have compelling reasons to negotiate them down

I have this same exact truck I looked at everything out there and this was my favorite, I bought it in May and still am very happy with my choice. I did black out all the emblems and do a few mods to it as well.

I have a 2025 HD LT. Not as fancy but still an awesome truck. What i found for Android not Apple car play, to maximize the screen is if you hit the icon twice it fully expands across the screen for maximum viewing. Not sure if Apple car play does the same thing. Didn't know you could change layout of the side buttons. Good to know.

Beautiful pickup. Im not sure about the 2024+ but ive got a 2022 AT4 2500 and when you put it in tow/haul the amps guage changes to tranny temp so you dont have to scroll

Ok I agree with you on the bed light but everything else I work around without thinking about also use Banks Idash to monitor as mush as possible, I have a 2024 Denali Ultimate 3500 HD and your right I love it

Got my AT4X HD 4 month ago. By today I think I hate already absolutely everything about it and really miss my old Denali LML This whole infotainment system is actually biggest trash ever manufactured by human. BTW, dealer already replaced whole thing, now radio at least always plays, but half of the time my phone doesn't connect to it. You forgot to mention seats being harder than wooden bench. I also hate those stupid buttons for the tailgate, and power steps(dealer told me I can't remove it, and I want some full time deployed standard ones) Just didn't really have time to unplug those and really check what will happen. Mileage sucks big time vs my old one (200 miles less on full tank of fuel). edit Also light turn knob being at height of my knee, well half of the times I get out of this truck I accidentally turn lights on. Just dumb dumb dumb design. Shame on you GM

I own a 2024 gmc hd. This is the best truck I ever owned. I love everything about this truck inside out. Ford and Dodge make a great truck to but choose gmc any day

I own a 2500 Denali ultimate. none of these things are an issue, I have had mine for 18 months. I am buying this exact ATVxev next week. the only issue for me was that the running boards don't come out far enough on the truck. the are also a little short. So I replaced mine with the AMPS XL running boards, much better. other than that, the truck is great. thanks for the review

Honestly, great video, really great video. I've been looking for a video like this that WASN'T a car salesguy or youtube car reviewer. This was helpful. Please made a few more like this if you can. I am really hoping to grab either the chevy 2500 bison or *deep breath* GMC 2500 HD AT4X AEV. I only see a bit of luxury being the difference despite some mild grilled/headlight differences. But I am having a REALLY hard time justifying as I don't off-road whatsoever, but will be getting a 5th wheel travel trailer for my family. I just love how the Bison/AT4X AEV look. Otherwise the ZR2 / AT4X would work fine (seems to only lack the additional skid plates and sweet although heavy bumpers). Do you daily drive this with your family?

interesting that the gmc likes to start in 2nd gear from a stop unloaded vs the ford which always wants to start in 1st and then shift immediately.

Great choice and color. I've had the 2024 white version of the same truck since May '24 . Been loving it. The ride is smooth.
