What is the folding bit under the seat for?
Anyone using this idiotic and unsafe crap is a moron. Not tested or approved. How can it possibly still be on your site?

In the manual that Britax publish they show the car seat belt going down and under the seat for rear facing with increased legroom, in this video it is up and over the seat, under the cushion. Please advise?
Why can't the rivemove be used with a group 1 carseat?
What is a Group 1 car seat?
Goup 0 and 1 have their own built-in harness. Group 2 and 3 seats use the isofix to locate and hold the seat but the vehicle belt to restrain the child. These brackets aren't strong enough to restrain the child also. Great care should also be taken to ensure their use doesn't move the child seat into the deployment zone of a rear side airbag, should the car have them fitted.

I know this is an old question but in case anyone else is wondering, it cant be installed on the front seat as to get a safe fit it has to brace against the front seat.

I did as the manual said at least. It also explains why its going on the one upper belt and not two of them, so Im trusting the manual☺️

Surely the green lock should go on the side where the car's seat belt clips in? In the video that is on the side where the camera is but in a real car it would be on the inside away from the camera.
Do the tether straps go on the bar or through the front seat? Your video of installation with extended legroom showed a different method of attaching the tether straps

What is the weight to FF in this
In one video it shows attaching the tether to the seat anchor, but in this one it attaches them through the seat. Is there a reason why you would do one over the other? I have a Zafira Tourer and the seat anchor is rather difficult and prevents the seat from sliding all the way back. Could I anchor them in this way shown in this video instead?
I believe you do it this way if you don’t have the bars under the seat

I am a little confused as I have watched this and a few other videos. However in this one the car seat belt only goes under the cover and not through the seat at all. Is this correct? Surely it needs to go through the seat to secure it?
Hi Joanna. The belt does go through the seat, its just quite difficult to see. If you aren't sure you could use the routing from the video 2-Way Elite CDH Adapted, this might be easier for you to see. Come back to me if you are unsure :)

How do you know if the seat belt is long or short though? And if it is long, should I use the method in this video r the other? I'm sort of confused, didnt really get the answer with "belt going down first". Is that this video?
If you are not sure about the length of the seatbelt buckle (female bit that you plug into) then always use this belt routing - it wont do any harm! I work for ICSC

We bought this car seat about 7 years ago. Now our 2nd child is 4 and ready for forward facing! Just a lovely car seat to have and worth every penny!

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question. When you use the two-way Elite on the front passenger seat, the tether straps should be crossed over underneath the passenger seat. This is not necessary when the rear passenger seat is used. I hope this is clear? In-Car Safety Centre

Can the seat be used in the more upright position in the front? And do you know why it makes a difference if the straps are crossed if the passenger seat behind is in use or not? Should it be changed each time someone is in the passenger seat or not?

What on earth are you talking about.
This same person made another video besides this one about installing the Britax two way elite in the front passenger seat. Click on their name. It shows how to put the tethers on (like here), but instead just sliding the buckles under the front seat toward the dashboard.
You attach the tethers to the front seat as normal as shown in the video, then you place the tether buckles (female ends) under the front seat torward the dashboard, then buckle them to the car seat. I hope I explained this well enough.
You may fit the Britax Two-Way Elite on the front passenger seat of the Fiat Punto, so long as the passenger seat belt is switched off . Please also read the instructions in the Punto's manual,concerning the use of child car seats, to make sure there are no other exclusions. Some manufacturers specifically state that seats may not be used in the front passenger seat. Follow that advice. Simon Bellamy, In Car Safety Team
Hi Gemma The fitting of the belt going down first would be used if the seat belt buckle was long as this prevents the buckle hitting on the underside of the seat. If the seat belt buckle is short the belt can be routed either way. Thanks. In Car Safety Centre Team.
