I love pleated skirts, they’re so feminine and swishy when I walk in them. I love the new wider-pleat and kilt styles and have added them to my wardrobe over the past year.

Yes, I follow trends and wear some of them, especially the more classic, less extreme ones. I adore the Polo top and pale pink trends.

You can easily create an asymmetrical skirt by chopping one you own off. Cheaper than buying a new skirt. I took some pants to tailor and had her turn into long shorts. Cheaper than buying new. I turned a couple jackets into “cropped” also by having tailor alter. So many ways to alter clothes we already own verses buying new.

Not a fan of those camel-coloured trousers at all (I think the front crease looks very old-fashioned). Also wearing them with red, light blue and black in the last outfit looks all wrong.

Sambas are definitely not out of style , and the classic denim jacket is never out of style

So I am going to be unfashionable as I’m not getting rid of any of these “trends”. My message would be to wear what makes you happy. If you are happy and confident it will show, as opposed to wearing something that you have been told is on trend but doesn’t make you feel comfortable.

I don’t want to be elegant or classy, I want to be individual and unique, it’s the way I roll. I find elegance boring tbh, I don’t wear skinny jeans, distressed jeans or Apple Watches, I like Swatch 😁 don’t own any samba trainers or a pleated skirt in any form either. My cross body bag is staying though, I like to be hands free. I have a denim jacket but not worn it for a while , nice to hear your take on things though 👍😁

For all the others: carry on with copy and paste a style which others dictate to you!

I believe - the way you wear a jeans and a top is always about you! Jeans are made for you and how you feel in them!

I’m keeping my Apple Watch-there’s no question about it. Because I need to use a walking cane, I need one hand free so the crossbody bag stays put. Style isn’t my priority; functionality is.

Cross body bag is never out, its an essential for those who walk a lot, have an active lifestyle, kids etc, i can have a clutch or a sholder bag only if i go to the restaurant...by car...and thrn straight back.

Those prints shown in number 7. are very frumpy and would make almost anyone frumpy

You make some great points but I disagree slightly on the Sambas - they had been going strong for over two years at least, that's not a short time. Probably because they are easily recognizable AND they're super versatile. I think you can wear them (and their siblings Spezial and Gazelle) still in a suede version, or in beige and brown tones. I personally am over the very colourful versions by now, but you'e right, they're probably still trendy this year.
