    Given that hippos irl are the deadliest animal of all responsible for hundreds of fatal attacks each year, if house hippos were real they'd be kind of terrifying. That cat in the commercial would be very dead if house hippos had a similar temperament and bite force as a real hippo.

    What are we talking about here? Canada kills their own citizens today through the M.A.I.D program. No, you do not have tk be dying to kill yourself in Canada. The poor are doing it with Dr. approval. Abortion and gender reasignment (especially on minors) is no better. Canada is not inclusive nor tolerant.

    American terms? Bombs??? My family is from Burlington and I grew up back and forth across the border because my father was a metallurgical engineer. I now live in California and my sister is in the Muskokas. Your “bomb” comment is exactly why I have lost respect for Canada. I have never heard a slur from an American person in regard to Canada. Yet Canadians seem to still love to make rude comments about America. We are a much larger and more heavily populated country with 50 states and 50 different sets of state laws. Our place in the world brings us in a position to constantly be supporting other countries financially and with military aid. Canada tends to like to play the “Sweden” mentality and stay out of conflict while we fight for the people who are being devastated by communist rulers. If you think anyone of us wants to send our sons into battle or wants to see “bombs” exploding on this earth, maybe you need to stop judging and educate yourself. Shame on you. Americans are good people who are usually the first to show up. We are tired and sad and don’t want to be involved. However we also don’t want others to suffer at the hands of monsters. Canada is beautiful and I love it. I miss the easy lifestyle that we have lost from Overpopulation and political instability. However, if Canada were attacked tomorrow…. who do you think would show up to protect you first? Your knowledge of this country is very obvious and before you toss daggers, maybe you should learn more about the history of the US and compare numbers and issues that make it harder for a large and powerful nation to turn their backs to world instability. You are what I find shameful in Canadian people. I’m proud to have dual citizenship but I won’t tolerate either side making assumptions about the other. You owe Americans an apology.

    • @SaltyBeaverExplores
      @SaltyBeaverExplores 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your comment and I apologize for offending you. I have many American friends and certainly have no ill feelings towards your country or its citizens. I actually had to go back to the video as I can’t see myself saying anything about bombs, or to be disparaging towards another country. As you will see in the video the bomb comment is not my words, rather it is part of the quote from Bon Appetite! A Celebration of Canadian Cookbooks.

    Five Fishermen used to be myself and my family's favorite restaurant until they changed their menu years back. We must have gone there a good 20 times, mostly during the 1990s... sorry but I never saw anything out of the ordinary. There is an ice cream parlor in the Chateau Frontenac, been there and in the lobby, I spent 4 years in the Quebec City area so I passed in front of it countless times, never saw anything unusual. As for the Fort Garry Hotel, passed by it numerous times when I lived in Winnipeg for 6 years but I can't recall ever going inside, my brother had a hockey tournament in St Andrew's when I was a kid, saw the Algonquin but didn't go inside, also saw the Banff Springs when I went to Banff but didn't go in... I did hear that the haunted room where the murders occurred is not barricaded by a wall and nobody can get in.

    ' Aboot ' the Canadian accent or accents really ... I just listened to sixteen seconds of Mackenzie King speaking. He was prime minister for much longer but wasn't very much more interesting than witnessed here. His is described as having a ' dainty ' transatlantic accent. Could anyone discuss and identify the great pianist Glenn Gould's accent ? His rhythm idiom appears to be rather English, perhaps in want of a better word, He is a wonderful talker but what would be described as his accent origins ?

    It's hard to listen to a person talk about Natives used the wool from sheep because it was easier. It's not true back in 1876- 1956 First Nations weaving and arts were outlawed, they would be fined, jailed or harmed/ killed for practicing old ways. The police & the military took the dogs from our Elders they were never seen again the Elders told us they do not know what the police-military did with the dogs 😢 they were a victim of genocide, & them wanting to assimilate First Nations from the old ways that made us stronger.

    • @SaltyBeaverExplores
      @SaltyBeaverExplores หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching and your comment. It is a shame that indigenous culture was stripped away and outlawed. I did read, and heard, that the police or military killed the dogs, but I was not able to find any documentation to substantiate it (though that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen) so I did not include it in the video.

But with every visit, he becomes cooler and calmer around me. I could even hug him now and he's doing less bites with every visit. Lets see if I can get him tame. Their bites are very hard and hurts a lot. :) But with wild geese, there are rarely any bites. Love geese to bits! <3 Thanks for the video!

      I think we were lucky to get a spot at this park over a holiday weekend!

    That's a nice RV park. It looks like the fulltimers have the best spots, but who can blame them? I like birds, although I'm not a birdwatcher...😏

      I like birds too… but they pooped on everything! LOL

    The place looks great! I can't believe (or maybe I can) that they book up that quickly. We would to be able to travel one day with an RV. That's the goal!

      It’s a good way to travel and explore areas. This park was in a good location close to town and surrounded by wineries

    Thanks for taking us on a tour of this RV Park. It’s good to see the layout of the area and where the full timers are located. Glad everyone seems to be friendly. And I love the water nearby. Also good to know you should book early interested.

    Would be useful to mention Minister of the Interior Clifford Sifton being sent to search for immigrants who could first clear then farm the harsh Canadian Prairies. Ukrainians were the perfect fit, and Halychnya (Galicia- west Ukraine today) at this time in the late 19th century was overpopulated with literaly medieval living conditions.

      Thanks for watching and your insightful comment. That may be a good idea for a future video. My husband’s family left what is now Ukraine to farm in Saskatchewan in the early 1900’s.
