Given that hippos irl are the deadliest animal of all responsible for hundreds of fatal attacks each year, if house hippos were real they'd be kind of terrifying. That cat in the commercial would be very dead if house hippos had a similar temperament and bite force as a real hippo.
What are we talking about here? Canada kills their own citizens today through the M.A.I.D program. No, you do not have tk be dying to kill yourself in Canada. The poor are doing it with Dr. approval. Abortion and gender reasignment (especially on minors) is no better. Canada is not inclusive nor tolerant.
American terms? Bombs??? My family is from Burlington and I grew up back and forth across the border because my father was a metallurgical engineer. I now live in California and my sister is in the Muskokas. Your “bomb” comment is exactly why I have lost respect for Canada. I have never heard a slur from an American person in regard to Canada. Yet Canadians seem to still love to make rude comments about America. We are a much larger and more heavily populated country with 50 states and 50 different sets of state laws. Our place in the world brings us in a position to constantly be supporting other countries financially and with military aid. Canada tends to like to play the “Sweden” mentality and stay out of conflict while we fight for the people who are being devastated by communist rulers. If you think anyone of us wants to send our sons into battle or wants to see “bombs” exploding on this earth, maybe you need to stop judging and educate yourself. Shame on you. Americans are good people who are usually the first to show up. We are tired and sad and don’t want to be involved. However we also don’t want others to suffer at the hands of monsters. Canada is beautiful and I love it. I miss the easy lifestyle that we have lost from Overpopulation and political instability. However, if Canada were attacked tomorrow…. who do you think would show up to protect you first? Your knowledge of this country is very obvious and before you toss daggers, maybe you should learn more about the history of the US and compare numbers and issues that make it harder for a large and powerful nation to turn their backs to world instability. You are what I find shameful in Canadian people. I’m proud to have dual citizenship but I won’t tolerate either side making assumptions about the other. You owe Americans an apology.
Thanks for your comment and I apologize for offending you. I have many American friends and certainly have no ill feelings towards your country or its citizens. I actually had to go back to the video as I can’t see myself saying anything about bombs, or to be disparaging towards another country. As you will see in the video the bomb comment is not my words, rather it is part of the quote from Bon Appetite! A Celebration of Canadian Cookbooks.
Hawkins Cheezies are great. And I'm in no way biased because I was born and raised in Belleville. Those things are freaking addictive!
I was around 30 when the first ones came out and thought the commercial was brilliant. The fact some millennials didn't get the fact they aren't real though is disturbing...
Five Fishermen used to be myself and my family's favorite restaurant until they changed their menu years back. We must have gone there a good 20 times, mostly during the 1990s... sorry but I never saw anything out of the ordinary. There is an ice cream parlor in the Chateau Frontenac, been there and in the lobby, I spent 4 years in the Quebec City area so I passed in front of it countless times, never saw anything unusual. As for the Fort Garry Hotel, passed by it numerous times when I lived in Winnipeg for 6 years but I can't recall ever going inside, my brother had a hockey tournament in St Andrew's when I was a kid, saw the Algonquin but didn't go inside, also saw the Banff Springs when I went to Banff but didn't go in... I did hear that the haunted room where the murders occurred is not barricaded by a wall and nobody can get in.
' Aboot ' the Canadian accent or accents really ... I just listened to sixteen seconds of Mackenzie King speaking. He was prime minister for much longer but wasn't very much more interesting than witnessed here. His is described as having a ' dainty ' transatlantic accent. Could anyone discuss and identify the great pianist Glenn Gould's accent ? His rhythm idiom appears to be rather English, perhaps in want of a better word, He is a wonderful talker but what would be described as his accent origins ?
How about famous American Ukrainians?
Thanks for watching. I am sure there are many famous American Ukrainians - I have only highlighted Canadians of Ukrainian descent as our channel focuses on Canadian content.
Yea so letter Kenny, red green, and corner gas actors sound nothing like most Canadians fyi.
Thanks for watching. I’m not sure what you mean with your comment… that they don’t sound Canadian?
Just came across your channel. Looks like a nice trail and you covered a lot of ground. How far was the ride and time involved ?
Thanks for watching - we will have more ATV videos coming soon. The ride took about 4 hours and we covered 54km and climbed 1674 metres.
11 provinces???
A mistake in the video - corrections noted in both the description and comment sections. I’m learning from my mistakes - don’t rush out a video when I am tired as I make stupid blunders!
I think people who have grown up in Victoria have a unique accent sounding a little more British then people from Vancouver or other parts of the British Columbia.
Great insight! I would not be surprised since Victoria has long had a huge British influence. I will have to listen for that the next time I’m in Victoria.
Oh Jesus I did not know you guys were hurt. I'm glad you've been able make that recovery and get back in the road. That's a beast of a car. Taking those off roads like a champ. Beautiful forest to drive through.
It is so nice to get up and do things again!
Canada, you had to have your canada day on July 1st, so close to the 4th of July, our Independence Day. Where our country had to do a lot more to get its independence than you did?.
What do you want a cookie?
Thanks for watching. We are a different and separate country from the US. We celebrate Canada on July 1st - it’s not a competition.
Now this looks like the type of off road driving I would enjoy. Your Yamaha looks like it has great power and easy to maneuver the off roads. And the mountain range looks beautiful!
It is!
I admire the desire, but this is BS. Holy shit, that "911 operator" is full of shit...
Thanks for watching and your comment.
Great video. Thanks! Any ideas of the best maps of trails in the area? Ive been coming up for years but new to quading
Thanks for watching! We just got home from this year’s ATVBC poker ride in Princeton (5 new videos from this event will be coming soon!). Unfortunately we can’t give you any information about trails around Logan Lake as we are not from that area, and have only done the one poker ride there. I would suggest contacting the Logan Lake ATV Club. They have a facebook page.
Exciting to see the Yamaha Rmax in action again! I like your adventures very much. Shuswap lake looks incredible! Keep up the great work
Thank you. More ATV videos coming soon.
I own a gold copper and silver claim near here
That’s really interesting. It is a lovely area. Thanks for stopping by our channel.
Great to see you back on the trails! The lake look amazing. Looking forward to more adventures from your side by side journeys!
It is good to be back! We love to ride and really missed it. More videos coming soon…
Fascinating history Calgary has. In the modern day though it looks like a fantastic city. Lots of public transport. It's great that they decided to revitalize the downtown neighborhoods. Love that river promenade. What's the population of Calgary?
Calgary population is about 1.66 million. It is a modern city built on the oil industry.
Beautiful place and welcome back to TH-cam with this lovely video . The location is magical. I'm a bit jealous of your Yamaha and really eager to try the experience someday 😉
Thank you very much! It is a lot of fun.
Must have been great to get back out on the trails! That's wild about the goldfish - probably like you said, someone getting rid of their pets or tank. The Herman Lake park looks pretty nice- beautiful dock over the lake for some scenic views. Can you camp there in trailers?
There is no camping at Herman Lake but there is an outhouse and picnic table. It doesn’t show on the video, but the forested part is really dark.
Haven't been to Calgary in over a decade and this area is new to me. Looks like a beautiful walking area - but beware of cyclists you almost got taken out. The little geese family was cute.
It is a nice area with lots of good restaurants and not too far from the zoo
It's hard to listen to a person talk about Natives used the wool from sheep because it was easier. It's not true back in 1876- 1956 First Nations weaving and arts were outlawed, they would be fined, jailed or harmed/ killed for practicing old ways. The police & the military took the dogs from our Elders they were never seen again the Elders told us they do not know what the police-military did with the dogs 😢 they were a victim of genocide, & them wanting to assimilate First Nations from the old ways that made us stronger.
Thanks for watching and your comment. It is a shame that indigenous culture was stripped away and outlawed. I did read, and heard, that the police or military killed the dogs, but I was not able to find any documentation to substantiate it (though that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen) so I did not include it in the video.
It must have felt good to be able to drive out there! You drove over your camera to get an amazing shot. 😊 You still had some snow out there. Is it normal this time of year! Beautiful lake! 😊
Yes the snow is normal. It should be all gone at the top of that mountain in another couple of weeks.
Gotta love a nice walk along the river like this. I love that there is a signage along the way to share some things about the area and its history. It reminds me of when I used to live in Iowa US along the Mississippi River.
Yes it is a wonderful place to walk
Nice to see another Rmax video from you guys, we always enjoy watching your adventures up there from down here in North East Washington. As a matter of fact we're headed up your way tomorrow, 50 years ago we spent our honeymoon at Lake Christina !!!!
Happy Anniversary! We hope you have an amazing time in BC. We really appreciate you watching our videos and your comment.
I am proud to be a Ukrainian Canadian. Ukraine deserves to be a free and independent country.
We totally agree. Thanks for watching and your comment
Great video Uta. The East Village is usually where I stay when I am in Calgary and the river walk is so cool. Well done my friend. Cheers
Thanks Eddie!
I love the paintings on the wall! Beautiful and colorful! Nice that you can walk, run and bike next to the river like this! 😊
Actually that wall is not paintings - it is all small tiles!
this video has helped us plan our vacation! thank you so much for posting :)
You're so welcome! It’s nice to hear that we have helped someone with their trip!
This village is really nice, quiet, and clean. I loved its history, the work of the street artists, the statues, and the graffiti on the walls.
Thanks. The wall is not painted those are all small tiles that make the pictures

I have to show this my friend In Saskatoon! She’s the one who told me about this commercial and is gonna be completely dumbfounded to learn that there are people who thought they were real! 😂😂
It would be wonderful if you share our video! I have to say I was pretty surprised to come across that info while I was doing my research!
Completely wrong. I am around Canada Geese and I can even pet their goslings. Frienldly humans are accepted (not just tolerated) around these friendly modern day dinosaurs. I'm around geese for 10 years already, regularly. Some geese count to my best friends. <3
Not all geese are bad LOL. I had a domestic goose who was so loving and always wanted hugs and to be near me…. but ONLY me! Everyone else would run in terror! Nice to hear you have been accepted by the Canada geese.
@@SaltyBeaverExplores Thanks! Cool to hear that you had a domesticated white goose. Yes, I am around a white goose pair at the moment too, and the gander bites me. Y'ouch! But with every visit, he becomes cooler and calmer around me. I could even hug him now and he's doing less bites with every visit. Lets see if I can get him tame. Their bites are very hard and hurts a lot. :) But with wild geese, there are rarely any bites. Love geese to bits! <3 Thanks for the video!
This video is a piece of disinformation. House Hippos definitely exist. THEY just want you to THINK they don't exist.
Very insightful! 😉 Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much! It was EXTREMELY informative!!!!!!
You're very welcome! Thanks so much for dropping by our channel and your nice comment.
Well hello wine Capitol!! I do wonder about wine from Canada. I've never tried it. I'll have to get up there sometime. Do a winery tour myself. Beautiful area. Good Wine always grows in the best places with amazing energy.
British Columbia has excellent wines as do Ontario and Nova Scotia (I’m not sure if grapes grow in the other provinces.
I had no idea that Oliver, BC was the wine capital of Canada! I hope to take our little RV out there one day to explore the area and try out all the wine! The scenery there is lovely and seems like a great park for a short or long stay.
There are so many wineries in the area (and we tested out some local craft beer too).
This looks like such a cozy spot to unwind after a day of exploring the Wine Capital of Canada! Thanks for the recommendation
Thanks for watching
Just the video I needed. Love that you actually gave a time estimate for how far away the walk to the falls are from the parking lot. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for stopping by our channel.
I didn't know that! 😊
I thought it was some interesting trivia.
It looks great. A perfect place to spend few days or maybe more. But surely it's a popular one.
I think we were lucky to get a spot at this park over a holiday weekend!
That's a nice RV park. It looks like the fulltimers have the best spots, but who can blame them? I like birds, although I'm not a birdwatcher...😏
I like birds too… but they pooped on everything! LOL
The place looks great! I can't believe (or maybe I can) that they book up that quickly. We would to be able to travel one day with an RV. That's the goal!
It’s a good way to travel and explore areas. This park was in a good location close to town and surrounded by wineries
Thanks for taking us on a tour of this RV Park. It’s good to see the layout of the area and where the full timers are located. Glad everyone seems to be friendly. And I love the water nearby. Also good to know you should book early interested.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Would be useful to mention Minister of the Interior Clifford Sifton being sent to search for immigrants who could first clear then farm the harsh Canadian Prairies. Ukrainians were the perfect fit, and Halychnya (Galicia- west Ukraine today) at this time in the late 19th century was overpopulated with literaly medieval living conditions.
Thanks for watching and your insightful comment. That may be a good idea for a future video. My husband’s family left what is now Ukraine to farm in Saskatchewan in the early 1900’s.
Interesting information. The place is also pleasant for spending a peaceful moment and forgetting the troubles of daily life. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, you are right. It was a nice place to stay for a few days
So good
Thanks for watching
