    Dada, Can I install LED without relay.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@souravsen1980 I have seen Tribers with LED installed. So ideally, yes you can install LED. But personally I am not in favor. This is because good company LEDs comes with a small fan installed behind the bulb. This is done to lower the heat that is caused from the LED. Now, in Triber, there is not much space for this kind of set up. So while installation, the rubber console which is present is cut to make space for the fan. During, rainy season, because of this cut, water oozes inside the headlight console and damages the reflector as well as the bulb and there also is a chance of short circuit happening. Due to this reason, I have not installed LED. There are low priced LEDs without fan also available. But these only makes the light white but doesn't increase the power throw of the light. So, it doesn't make sense to install low power LEDs. Would suggest, ask before installation as to whether there will be any structural change, like cutting the rubber console as mentioned earlier. If not, then go ahead with the installation.

      @@bharatvision3950 I am doing good Sir, thank you! This coming November, my Triber will be completing it's 4th year. I am very happy with its performance. I have not travelled with 7 people. From start only, I have removed the last 2 seats and used it so far as a 5 seater. We are a family of 5, my son, my wife, myself and my 2 labrador dogs. So in highways we always travel together along with luggage. Weight wise it becomes the same as travelling with 7 people. The car performed always above expectations. Never faced any driving fatigue for long distances and with a packed car. All my highway drive videos I have shared in this channel. From there you will get an idea the type of distance I had travelled. So far, the car never let us down and we had faced zero troubles. The mechanical issues I have faced so far are again showcased in my videos. Apart from those mentioned, I have never encountered any. In hills, I have found shifting to manual mode from AMT makes it easier for the car to travel. The power is adequate, not the best definitely, as it's a 1000CC car. Car is very comfortable for traveling long distances. As mentioned earlier, I never faced any driving fatigue. With twin ACs, travelling in summer heat was never a problem. I only wished the seat to have better cushioning. But at the price point the car is offered I think it's adequate. So far the best mileage I got was 23 kmpl with both the AC on and with full load while I was traveling to Jaipur. Lowest I have got is 11.4 in bumper to bumper traffic again with both the ACs switched on. Maintenance cost so far that I have encountered I find it reasonable. Overall it's a good car to have. Negatives are low pickup especially when you are driving with AC switched on. It's not a problem in highways, but in city driving it sometimes becomes irritating. This is the only genuine negative I have felt so far.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arindam157 It's aftermarket. I purchased it from Amazon. You will get many options there, like, some are magnetic, others are not, some are with zipper for the front windows, some are half, etc. As far as recommendation is concerned, car AC works better if you have them, as they prevent to some extent the ultraviolet rays from the sun. Though it is illegal for sure. Some cities are very strict and you cannot put those, like in Chandigarh for example. Others allow. I find it convenient because it's easy to remove and put it back on, which you cannot do in case of window films.

    One feature people miss out on is using manual shift in an AMT vehicle. The left leg gets rest, yet you have full control over the engine output. And the gear shifts are so much easier than a manual transmission vehicle - just flick it towards + or -. No worry of slotting into wrong gear like second instead of fourth or third instead of fifth

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching and appreciating. Before you do basement parking, my advice will be to drive in straight roads first and also where, there are slopes, so that you get a proper feel of the car movement based on your pressure on the accelerator pedal. Once you get the equation right you won't have any problem in taking your car to any basement parking area.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tiaracitra7809 If the slope from the basement is long, then change to manual mode. This is because if you are pressing on the accelerator for long to cover the slope distance, in automatic mode it will automatically change to higher gear. If that happens the car won't be able to pull itself out and then will stop and will downshift. To avoid always when traveling on a slope change to manual mode, you will have better control of your car.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Sure we can meet. In one word, Triber is a bigger Alto with more features and safety. It needs to be driven in light foot to get good mileage. As compared to Mumbai, after coming to Kolkata mileage has decreased to 13 kmpl (sometimes with twin AC on). While in Mumbai it used to give me 15 kmpl. This mileage figure is solely city driving. Mine is AMT. Following are the pros and Cons Pros 1. Good family car. Very good space while sitting in third row. 2. Very good built quality 3. Affordable maintenance if done timely and regularly from service centre 4. Twin AC really works well 5. Very stable and comfortable driving on highways and in city due to very light steering wheel. 6. Taking into account the size of the car, mileage is pretty much satisfactory if driven in a light foot. 7. Huge luggage space, if you take out the third seat 8. Lastly, value for money. Cons 1. Engine is not refined. So expect engine noise if you revv much. 2. Initial pickup is less. You cannot zip and zoom with this car 3. Strange noise while you reverse. 4. When you switch on the AC, engine noise becomes quite vocal, just like Alto. Like I suggest to everyone, please test drive the car on your own before you take any decision. Online reviews are always person specific and according to their satisfaction level, which obviously varies from person to person.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry didn't understand your question. See you don't need to convert from AMT to Manual mode under normal driving conditions. The sensor understand the speed of the car and accordingly upshift the gear, for example from 3 to 4, or downshift the gear, for example from 2 to 1, based on the speed of your car at that moment. But what if you don't want the sensor to decide this, but YOU want yourself to decide and change the gear according to your requirement. Then you should go to Manual from AMT mode. For example, say you have taken your car to the hills. While coming down from the hill, since the slope is downwards, the speed will keep on increasing. As the speed increase, the car will also automatically upshift the gear for higher speed. To stop this, while the car is in your desired speed, change to Manual mode. The car will stop upshifting the gear automatically and will remain at a constant speed. Hope I am able to make you understand.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels ปีที่แล้ว

      Self start delay is definitely there. Takes too much time to check the engine which probably cause the delay. I have not faced any vibration during reverse, but it is not smooth. Always feel the car is making extra effort during reverse. Regarding faults in general, it depends what you are expecting from the car. When I did the first test drive, I realised that Triber is like Alto 800. Meaning, engine not refined, engine noise is very much evident, while on the other side it is a reliable car provided you regularly service it, maintenance comes cheap, lots of space and does what it’s expected from it, AC is good and very good mileage provided you understand its dynamics well. It took time for me to understand the mileage thing. Need to do a lot of experiments but now I am pretty happy with it. Will share my understanding of mileage in a subsequent video.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels ปีที่แล้ว

      Lowest was 18 and the best I got was 24. Overall the mileage hovered around 22.5. My speed was between 80-90. Rajasthan has very good highways. On my trip from Mumbai to Hyderabad, I got around 18.5. Same was from Vizag to Kolkata.

This is because everyone has a different liking/ preference. As far as I am concerned I am satisfied so far. 2023 Triber is filled with features which was not available when I purchased making it a real good deal at the offered price. Wish you all the very best in advance for your new car.

    Dada, what is your recommendation for changing the low-beam light (projector) and high beam (reflector) to? I was thinking of LED ones. I need your guidance regarding the same.. also, are both the bulb sets of H7 specification?

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely put LEDs. The quality of light will improve to a huge extent. But please keep in mind the following: 1) The headlight reflectors are of halogen ones, not LEDs. So though the light will improve, but it will not be in the same quality as LED reflectors. Check a geniune LED reflector, say for example in KIA, during daytime, you will understand what I am saying. 2) It may void warranty. For this reason I have installed 100W halogen instead of factory fitted 50W. 3) Most LEDs are Chinese made. So if you decide to install, which I will also do, once the warranty period gets over, it's better to go with a reliable company like Philips, etc. No, both the bulbs are not H7. High beam is H7, low beam is H1

    Very serious and honest review for amt cars...Sir you good teacher for triber becoz using this car last few years...I know about triber is very good car... But why people campre this with ertiga and Kia carrens ...but this cars owned 1.5L ...But if people compare this car with 1.0L car may be Triber give more benifits...more bhp and torque as campre to other 1.0L cars....thanks

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels ปีที่แล้ว

      Firstly, thanks for the appreciation.🙏 Secondly, coming to your question, People usually compare because they think 7 seater is the only comparable factor, which is not actually. Except for being 7 seater, there is nothing in common. According to me, I think it is a very cost effective/affordable 7 seater. If someone is looking for a powerful engine like Innova or very feature rich like Kia Carrens, then Triber is not a car for them. But then, you should also be ok to shell out more money. The price bracket in which Triber comes is really a very very good one.

    Thank you Sir for the video , I am planning to book Triber AMT in 2024 the 2023 model has every thing needed but decided to wait since its not urgent and gives me time to learn driving I am a new driver and also learn about vehicle. I am also based out of Mumbai , I was hoping they will launch the 1 L turbo petrol variant but that looks unlikely now.

    • @backpackeronwheels
      @backpackeronwheels ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for watching the video. Yes 1L turbo seems unlikely. As a suggestion, always when you are planning to buy a new car, be it any make, plan it in the months of February/March as that is the time when cars are launched with new updates. I did a mistake buying it in November 2021. My second suggestion will be that you do a thorough test drive of the car you are planning to buy. Please don’t buy based on other people suggestions, as individual choice always differ, irrespective of the fact that you may be a new driver. Your choice should always be the primary deciding factor. Wish you many successful miles in your new car. All the best 👍🏼
