I used to live in Charlotte for ten years after I left NY in 06 and in 2016 I moved to kannapolis/ Concord area, but I want to if you can show me how to be an Airbnb host and how are the steps.

Im sorry but im sick and tired of the misconception that people from NYC are rude and everybody from the south is friendly and warming..im from nyc and been living all over the south since 09 chester rock hill west side charlotte down to columbia even texas...people live in hoa homes go work and mind they business and barely talk to each other except a occasional head nod..aint nobody bringing you a fresh pie welcoming you and being nice...you move into a new place in nyc you'll be familiar with your neighborhood within a week...also they have ghetto places in the south worse than ny....i.e west Charlotte Fayetteville Durham Memphis Atlanta NOLA and the list goes on....Most people that do leave the north and buy a house in the south aren't bad with attitudes and problems because if that was the case how and why would they pick up and move to the suburbs of down south...point is everyone from everywhere is equally responsible..pretending like its just a cali NY thing

You ain’t kidding. I work for ppl moving here every day and every day I meet attitudes I want to send back to where they came from or spill the beans to them that their big city expensive homes they’re leaving are regrouping here. Joy.

The real reason is political swing. Its becoming a melting pot for the far left who became pushy. Its hard to believe that folks was dead set on harris becoming president. I was there during the opening day of voting and the ballot hosts were pushing the left agenda. Folks are sick of it . Its a beautiful city housing market and vehicle market are terrible. Biggest problem right now for first time home buyers is interest rates and monthly payment. Right now monthly payment is roughly 2200-2500. And that's for high 250's possibly low 300's . After all insurance and fees. That's what causing people not to buy. There's plenty of programs to buy. But how am I supposed to afford an extra 1k -1500 a month to buy a house when I can rent for 12-1600.

Interesting, i actually found Raleigh more appealing. Loved that the RDU area had so many free musems things to do and Cary/Apex i feel were better suburbs than anything CLT had to offer. Also Durham is its own city as well. Im not really into night life and have a 4 year old, so maybe im just boring.. 😂

All of the mortgage interest, property tax, and insurance money is money that is just gone as well, just like the rent paid to the landlord. In my situation, I would pay as much in these cost per month as I do for rent. The extra cash that would go to house equity , I can put towards other investments.n. We're looking to relocate from San Diego. My husband is a Retired Marine Combat Veteran & San Diego is simply too fast paced post 2020 & we're looking for a smaller community that offers diversity, great high school options and within our budget. We both work from home, so very minimal commuting.

I think family getting along moving in together to save money is not a bad idea right now. Times are different and inflation done killed us all.

Over priced over crowded. Roads were not built to compensate. I have to say the city and state does not move fast.

Location is important. I live in Ballantyne, I would not live anywhere else in charlotte, but out of all the other cities I’ve lived in I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else besides Ballantyne.

Charlotte was too city for me and way too expensive for what you actually get. I left and bought a nice 4 bdr ,3 bath ,2 car garage and new construction single family home for 250K in Columbia,SC area last year. That same home would be 400K in Charlotte.

Thanks for shedding the light. I moved from Cali in 2020 for much less traffic and a slower pace of life. The traffic is now overwhelming. The schools are pretty trash unless you move to a prominent neighborhood, and you're right, the people aren't as nice as I thought they would be when I moved here. I'd like to move out of the 485 loop, but I am a city girl and do want people around, just not this many.

My house is paid off. I feel like I'm stuck here. We would never be able to sell our house for what it's worth or buy a house elsewhere that we could afford. I don't mind the congestion, I'm a city girl, but I do think the culture and character has been wiped out by commercial development

Great video. I live in Concord going on my 3rd year. Love it here. Started my business in Concord and have great success. Far better than noisy Charlotte.

Been living in Charlotte, NC for 3 years and it didn’t take long for me to realize it’s the worst driving city in America and I’m not making this up. People drive reckless here rather it’s cutting you off, blatantly running traffic lights and stop signs. One thing you will realize when you move here is that people driving have no regard for human life here. I’ve lived in 6 major US cities west coast, Midwest and south and Charlotte is by far the worst driving city in my honest opinion. Charlotte also lacks highway troopers and police officers which doesn’t help the situation here. I always tell people planning to move here or just visiting to be prepared for the inevitable terrible driving and road rage.
