Im entering Wano arc and oh my gosh it is so terrible, the cringe serious Luffy, horrible pacing as always, cringe kid named otama and the flashback while fighting. Whole Cake Island still the best arc in my opinion

tf do you mean he was the chosen one? the only way luffy could awaken his devil fruit is by training very hard. we saw luffy try to use his devil fruit at the very beginning and he was utter garbage at it until he got 17. calling your channel "the critic" is so dumb this is just a tandrum from a 12 year old without any research. saying kaido is a villain without depth is somewhat true cuz he was intented to be a just a guy who wanted to get stronger and now that he is at the top everything seems boring. also he is not the "reincarnation of a god" he just has the zoan fruit of a god thats different luffy is still luffy unlike naruto. but the motion that luffy was special was already known from the very start of one piece so it isnt really an argument. i do agree wano has lows specifically some of the side characters and their fights but instead it has one of the hypest moments in anime history which is the gear 5 awakening and the chaos that came with it. overall i think wano is a good arc which couldve been one of the best if not for some of the bad stuff still some of the best moments happened on wano there is no denying that.

im catching up with the show now. I started one piece like 7 months ago and just finished dressrosa. Im curious on wano tho. And im not so sure if i will believe you. People called Dressrosa "annoying" too or talked about the infamous "dressrosa fatique". Couldnt rly confirm this. The arc was phenomenal. Probably not on sabaody-marineford level... but after that? Pretty much the second best arc in the show. (yes, better than water 7 + enies. Which i found both pretty mid). On the other hand, i agree with most people that fishman island was.... uhm... not that great.

Also maybe why luffy is getting up is because of of the drums of liberation and nika awakening in him

I disagree when you said naruto destroyed its themes the theme of naruto has never been about hardwork beats talent it’s always been about defining your own fate and destiny no matter what upbringing your from no matter how bad your past was you can still change it no matter what that’s the main theme of Naruto is defining your own path in life and the 4gnw told that really well especially when it foreshadowed Naruto and Sasuke being reincarnations in part 1 to lead up to the 4gnw and unlike Luffy who embraces his destiny of being joyboy naruto deflects it multiple times he deflects his own destiny and doesn’t accept it since he isn’t hashirama or ashura he’s himself also Naruto was destined to fight Sasuke for eternity and guess what happened Naruto managed to change his fate and end the cycle of hatred between brothers something ashura and hashirama couldn’t do and Naruto was never a reincarnation of a god to begin with

Luffy knows endure new sorrows; Luffy learns to not cling onto the past; he learned to be more creative with his power; he learnt to push people to their future, such as Momonosuke; he learns about cherishing his friends more than ever. Also remember that all of that power wasn't just handed to him. He fought enemies, getting stronger and learning more each battle and don't forget those 2 years of harsh training. However, Gear 5... Oda's just spoiling him.

There are multiple instances where Luffy sacrificed his lifespans in order to be stronger. Therefore, the point where he keeps getting back even though he was defeated is valid. Other characters would not be willing to do the same thing to keep fighting, they just accepted defeated. We have to wait in the end to see whether or not Luffy suffered from his shortened lifespan before making a valid conclusion.

Yes the whole thing about the gum gum fruit being garbage is underrated. The chosen one shit was kinda set up with dragon and garp, and the "D." Luffy clearly wasn't just some kid but him being divinely destined kinda sucks.

You know this is why momonosuke is the worst princess in distress of one piece. Nami asked for help after she tried everything else and betrayed them because for her Arlon was just too much of a monster. Vivi only flaw was that she refused to risk the life of anyone other than herself. Robin is robin so awesome by default The mermaid was annoying at first but then you realize that she hid the truth to respect her mother wish. The gladiator was weak but she tried at least to free herself. Momo is a pathetic arrogant loser who’s only actual good point is being followed by kindemon. It’s not just that he doesn’t do anything because he is weak it’s that he doesn’t try because he is too much of a coward. He had no value except being oden son so he was a symbolic guy but his sister was more courageous while being a crybaby Specially in zoo where the 2 kings bowed to him as if he had any perticular value while he was just the worst. He except the world to do as he say while being a bitch that refuse to fly to save his life because he’s a coward. And those saying but he’s just a kid. One piece is full of courageous kids. The straw hats are example but just see the kids with usop at least they had balls

i agree, seriously going from whole cake (one of my top 5 arcs) to this pile of dogshit rlly wasnt enjoyable at all, wano is low B tier at best. and also wano was the first ever arc where i almost fell asleep when reading, that never happened to me in one piece, not even on fishman island… atleast egghead paid off the reveals and mysteries were on top

In manga, Wano Arc is probably the best One Piece arc, at least after timeskip. In anime, it's just become another arc. Pacing is killing it. You can probably count how many times toei play same scene in different episode. The worst part when Queen use his poison bullets to turn everybody to zombie. Man, this moment is full of bad pacing.

The 4th great Ninja war was fucking amazing! Marineford was ass. Let me tell you why you are wrong. It took you this long to realize how bad One Piece has been. One Piece has been bad very early on. Where were you when Luffy pulled gear 2 and 3 out of his rubbery butt cheeks? Where were you when Ace died during marineford because this Idiot Luffy was chasing a piece of paper during the war leading to Akianu punching a hole through Ace like notebook paper? Where were you when shanks lost his arm to a sea king, scarred by blackbeard but when he was faced with blackbeard he played tough while blackbeard laughed in his face and walked off after saying shanks looks good with that scar on his eye. Luffy is not Naruto. Luffy is worse! in naruto you have abilities where ninjas can resurrect the dead, seal spirits and chakra spirit energy in objects and people and even medical ninjas. You don't have any of those abilities in the world building of one piece whatsoever. To make matters worse Oda never explains how devil fruit awakenings work. Luffy devil fruit changed from paramecia to zoan. All these retcons! Naruto never did this BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The great ninja war is still being watched to this day because of how amazing it was. Naruto worked and trained to get where he got. Naruto trained for his abilities. Luffy didn't train for gear 2,gear 3 or gear 5. As someone Watch big 3 since 2002. I never be fans of one piece, i just follow coz i dont like unfinished story. The story concept is Best among all Big 3, But execution is worst among all Big 3 OP for me 5/10

The pacing has ruined One Piece for me. I fucking hate how many stupid flashbacks, backstories and crappy sub character fights make the fights so damn slow. I’ve skipped most of the Wano arc just to be disappointed by the Kaido fight. Big Mom was just there for the cannon fodder.

At this point, One Piece has got Simpsons syndrome. There’s nothing else this guy can do with the series to make it interesting without drastically changing direction which wouldn’t go down well after 25 years.

My biggest gripe about one piece, and I notice it every time I revisit the old volumes, is that the artwork has got so bad now to the point where I find it hard to make sense of the story. Pre timeskip it used to be such an easy read, everything was drawn and spaced so nicely. Now I’m looking at tiny abstract people with a mountain of text on each panel struggling to understand where people are in the frame. And the fight scenes just look so messy I can’t make out what’s happening to who. I feel like if this was any other series Oda would have been called out years ago but one piece fans are so defensive they find it hard to admit when something is just straight up bad

Well, I totally agree. Oda has f up OnePiece. For me it's the same as with Naruto during the great ninja war arc. I've stopped reading the manga regularly and only occasionally looked up the increasingly disappointing story...
