LOGGING IS NECESSARY BUT LEAVES A MARK

We're not against the logging industry, watch the whole video. If you watch the whole video you'll see we did not attack logging or loggers. Also, we're not familiar with logging equipment (i.e. tracks etc.) and how oil can transfer to the environment from the equipment, all we know is that we saw oil and oil like substances in puddles etc...Do not make assumptions without watching the entire v...

BLOOD GLUCOSE AND EXERCISE | 41.4 mg/dL or 2.3 mmol/L

I achieved the lowest blood glucose level of my life, an astonishing surprising blood glucose reading of 2.3 mmol/L or 41.4 mg/dL (US standard). Most people would have a medical emergency with a 2.3 mmol/dL reading, but I'm Keto adapted and have the genetic make up (alleles) that make me very well suited to use Ketones as an energy source.

This is beautiful

Been to the Divide Creek patrol cabin numerous times, from both directions. I saw some nice Bighorn rams high on the mountain behind the cabin. Also bull elk near the cabin. Beautiful.
Thank you very much, I loved the backpack and it will always be in my memories. The Canadian Rockies is a special place and the Divide creek area is beautiful.
I should add that every time I've been there has been on my horses and mules. That made the river crossings much easier!
Awesome
Thanks David
Nice song, but most of all great to see a video from you. Enjoy the journey!
Thanks

Awesome, thank you. 👍😎🇨🇦
Thanks, take care Marian
Just curious the rec site at 15:00 with the White bark pine, is that on the west kinbasket fsr? Do you know the name of it? Thanks brothers
Yeah, the campsite is on the West side Kinbasket fsr, something like 45-48 km (27-30 miles).
Hate to say it but this camera was so much better than the Panasonic. Crystal clear with buttery smooth motion and panning.
The Panasonic is a disappointment, need a new camera. Take care
How long does the trip down to the order take? Excellent footage
It's been years since I've driven the road to the border, but it is quite a drive, expect 3 to 4 hours. Depends on the current road conditions as well.

Hello, feel free to optimize my videos. I would appreciate the help. However, I never give nobody access to my computer or personal information. If you can optimize my videos without access to my computer I would appreciate your help. Otherwise, I was eventually going to research the subject myself. Thanks, stay well.
@@bohrerbros7555 It's up to you! If you'd like me to make the changes myself, I'll either need log in credentials or to be made a manager (this is explained in the requirements when you order). If you don't feel comfortable with giving access, I can send you a comprehensive list of changes you can make yourself.
Thanks for the offer but I will get around to it eventually myself. Take care.@@IsrakB.d-2024-ym3lm
Gorgeous trail. My only gripe with GNP is the whole park is dissected by hwy1. It would be nice to get a trail there that doesn't start from the trans Canada. Guess that's what the fsr's are for ✌️
If you want to get away from the crowds FSR are great. Take care.
it is ok to use my timberwolf for your movie
Ok, if it's your carving we found in the forest, very cool. Nice carving.
was carved 2011 his name is Timberwolf, and it was the mascot of Timberwolf mining it keep the bad spirit and the claim jumpers out
Thanks, very interesting.@@1253timberwolf
Your videos are not SEO perfect. If you want I can do video SEO of your channel and grow the channel
Thanks for your offer but I will get around to doing it myself soon/eventually once I learn how. Happy New Years to you. Take care.
Logging is about as close as you will come to how the original people managed the land. They used fire to remove the understory to promote plants and animals they could use and they girdled trees to bring in light. Similarly, logging leaves temporary cleared areas and selective logging thins the forest. Logging reduces the chance for massive, total fires. The modern conditions in a park are not the natural conditions the natives used to manage the land. The park is an over-stocked fire trap and a wildlife desert because it is no longer managed by man. These forest were managed as gardens by the natives and when the Euro people showed up what they saw was not a natural, untouched forest., but a large, wild garden. This environmentalist should drive his 4x4 Jeep back to his suburban house and donate money to wildlife groups who use pandas and kolas as their poster animals.
OK, who's against logging??? Watch the whole video before making assumptions. Take care.
Loggers have no respect for this planet. They cut whatever they need and leave a big freaking mess
Yes some loggers do, happy New Year.
We all need to be better “stewards” of this planet. Thank you men for explaining in clear terms the extreme of what is excepted and what should not be accepted. We’re all in this together as they say..
Thanks. Happy New Year.
Excellent point. Have always disliked this disparity. Cheers.
Thank you for your comment and happy New Years, take care.
This guy lives a house that's made from wood.
So do I, Lol. I suggest you watch the whole video, which obviously you have not, before you comment. If you watch the whole video before you comment you'll discover I did not attack logging, forest industry or loggers. Some people can't help but make assumptions before they have all of the facts. Take care.
What I've found here, to the south in Washington the State, is that first folks want to buffer a park. Then they want a buffer of the buffer, and so on. I didn't watch the whole rant. We have pretty strict forest practice rules and guidelines here. As does our federal land. Perhaps you need to lobby your government to strengthen rules and contracts, because loggers do what the contracts state--if monitored properly. The logging outfits I've worked with have finally realized that they have to make things look good. Note the word look. Garbage is picked up, no equipment is allowed to be abandoned, etc. Instead of getting the usual folks, who are not foresters, riled up, why not start by lobbying your rule makers?
True, but you should watch the whole video because I do understand what you have just said, and I did not attack logging, or even logging practices, in any way in my video rant. Always hear someone completely out and never make assumptions. Take care.
So was this outside of the park ?
Yes, just outside of Yoho National Park on a FSR.
Preach brothers.. double standards are real. Money talks.
True. Take care.

Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and all of your family, best wishes for the New Year.
You guys are a hidden treasure. I can't tell you how peaceful and present your videos make me feel. Love the scenery, commentary, and knowledge you share with all of us. Onwards!
Thank you, very much appreciated. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and your family.
I admire you two.

If the wolves go, the other animals will over populate and that will eventually weaken our ecosystems.
Very true. There's a carrying capacity to a given balanced ecosystem, if herbivores are allowed to over populate they will degrade the ecosystem so the carrying capacity is lowered. Wolves generally go after the easiest prey, the injured, the old, sick, weak and young so the population is kept in balance. Wolves also ensure the strongest individuals survive resulting in a healthy strong gene pool. Man, however, does the opposite going after the strongest most fit individuals resulting in less genetically fit animals. Man is degrading the gene pool through trophy hunting, notice how antlers are becoming smaller and animals are becoming smaller and weaker with time.
Larch is also known as Tamarack
Tamarack trees are larches as well and tend to be distributed more easternly compared to Western Larch trees.. Western Larch and Tamarack are the same genus, larix, but different species. Beautiful trees.
Pepper spray works great when one is not trying to take a life while defending one's self.
Yes, my brother and I always carry pepper spray David. Funny I just noticed your comment, I didn't see any notice. Best wishes in the New Year.
What year is the Jeep?
2004 WJ Jeep. It has a 3 inch lift, so it's OK on FSRs.
This is Amazing ❤️
Thanks David, we always appreciate hearing from you. Take care.
Nice spread for breakfast
Thanks, the wild berries were a nice treat
The trees are amazing, I'm from florida, look like giant Christmas trees 🌲
Thanks. Cold at times but lots of beautiful trees.
I will be 51 in January and you two are my heroes. I envy the beautiful areas you hike and camp. Keep it up👍✌️✌️
It makes me and my brother happy that we can provide inspiration and/or enjoyment to others through our videos. Thanks for the compliment
@bohrerbros7555 Well thank you very much from the east coast ✌️
It would be great to hear more about your diet and supplements choices in a video. Thanks.
Sometime in the future we will put out a video on that subject. Basically, the most important thing in our diet is to keep the blood glucose level down by following a mild (not strict) ketogenic diet. No sucrose (sugar) or large amounts of carbs. We also try to have a nutrient dense diet so we avoid foods that have few nutrients (potato chips, candy, ice cream, cookies etc...). Some of the supplements that we take include the following: NAC with glycine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, R-ALA, Trimethyglycine (TMG), Carnosine and Creatine etc...Hopefully this helps, take care.
@@bohrerbros7555 Thank you for sharing. Love the videos!

Amazing Wildlife Sightings.
Thanks. I always get a trill watching wildlife.
Thanks for sharing.
No problem, thanks
Very cool
Thanks
I should try camping out there.
Beautiful private spot right next to Hay river
Makes a nice cap 😊
I went through there 4 days before you and left that moose antler at the cabin!
Cool. Defiantly lots of elk and moose antlers on the trail. Beautiful area, I hope to return next year and backpack all the way to Caribou Inn campsite. The moose antler was a nice touch at the warden cabin, take care.
How beautiful!!
Thanks. It was very beautiful.
When are you planning on going next year ?
We plan on going in the Summer and Autumn, planning on doing at least 4 backpacks. If everything goes to plan, we're thinking about doing the Ancient Wall (from Rock Lake), Devon Lakes, Fiddle Pass, and another front country backpack. At least for now that's the plan. Take care.
The water was so high at the crossing....what was the date of this?
I believe it was August 25, but it could of been the 24th. On the way in the water levels were unusually high and fast, we were surprised. However, on the way out the water levels dropped dramatically and it was a easy crossing. We filmed the crossing on the way out. Even the beaver creek crossing was very high (crotch level) on the way in but just a hop over the creek on the way out. I learned heavy rain events can really effect creek/river levels. Take care
@@bohrerbros7555 Yeah that's definitely surprising for August 25th.
It was a beautiful day today. I hope the beavers' project is worthy of all those trees. Maybe you'll have to make a return trip to find out!
Ambitious beavers, Lol. Those beavers were determined to go after the biggest trees along the creek. Yeah, I will have to go back and check their handy work next year. Take care.
Good job guys!! Yeah, you're right. Eight billion people and climbing rapidly. Wildlife is fighting an unwinnable war.
Thanks Nick
Really beautiful .
Thanks. Manning Park has a lot of beautiful hikes. Take care.
