I know reflective listening can be one of the most difficult skills to get right. I am glad you mentioned about silence - as this has been difficult for me to get this right. I do however use my own examples to try and help them feel like they are not the only one going through that. I will try and stop doing that from now on. Thank you for making this video and helping us 'across the pond' with your experiences! So true about feeling exhausted by the end :)

"Action, reflection, action" -- one of the keys to the effectiveness of ACPE CPE! "CPE is the China of one's soul" -- great quote! There are other forms of "CPE", many online, but in my opiniont they lack the ACPE's depth of training, of being "formed and informed." Anyone reading this who is interested in chaplaincy, I encourage you to heed the words of Chaplain Bayat and consider APCE CPE. It is not simply training, but formation of your spirit and calling.
